My son and I saw this game previewed somewhere and we thought it looked so cool. It's a fun, smash-everything-up type of game. I enjoyed watching him play it.

Hulk Ultimate Destruction Review

This game is just fun. It's short, but sweet. If you like senseless destruction and venting your frustrations on the world, this game is for you.

The graphics are decent, the gameplay just outright fun. Picture a smaller Grand Theft Auto world with a more destructive environment and a pissed off gigantic green juggernaut rampaging through it: HULK BITCHES! It's fun. You can destroy and interact with pretty much everything.

The more you destroy the more points you gain and the more points you gain the more moves you can purchase for more devastating and powerful moves to contribute to more destruction, MORE I SAY! MORE! Redundant words? Yes.

The gameplay does get repetitive which is why I gave it a 4. But it's fun none the less because with the moves you're given you can deploy them in various ways to various enemies and create combos that are fun to execute once you've mastered them. Takes about half an hour to get use to the controls, but once you've done so it's mad fun. And you like fun, don't you?

If you're a fan and like senseless destruction and action packed games that let you vent and have fun at the same time, this bud is for you. But if not, then don't touch this bud. It's also worth a rental if you're just curious.

Smash up the town with Hulk!

Every so often you get the urge to just smash things and cause random chaos, and luckily Hulk: Ultimate Destruction is a pretty good release of that energy. You control Hulk as he rampages across an open-ended GTA style city. You have an arsenal of moves that let you grab, smash, throw, destroy, and crush pretty much anything you can see. Yes there are mission objectives that further an ongoing storyline, but at its heart the game is really what the title says: ultimate destruction. Definitely one of the best comic book games ever made, and really captures the essence of the Hulk in the same way the best Spider-Man games portray Spidey.

a really good overlooked game...

the only reason i picked this up is because of the ratings posted on the cover, which were 4/5 and 8.9/10 from reputable gaming magazines. otherwise i never heard or saw anything promoting this game, which is a shame because it's one of the better comic book superhero games out there. you should definitely pick it up if you like good games of this genre. the only real downside to this game is sometimes its pretty hard.

I'm not a big hulk fan but after playing ultimate destruction, i'm a huge fan
of this game. You feel like you are the hulk. You can pick up anything, missiles, people, poles, air condition units. tables and even cows and alot more. Playing as the hulk when he is a regular human isnt lots of fun though. but when you play as the green beast, its so much fun.

Graphics: 7/10
Sound: 8/10
Control: 8/10
Fun: 9.5/10
Replayability: 9.5/10

Great game and this a must buy if you like killing and destruction.

Ultimate Addiction to Smash!

He is the strongest one there is and you get to unleash the power all over the place. The game itself if simple enough and if you've played Spider-Man 2 then you know the structure. A large free roaming environment littered with mission icons. You can run around tearing up the place or do a challege mission for points or a story mission to progress in the game.

Progressing in the game unlocks additional moves, cheats, movies and other goodies so the incentive is there to continue. With each chapter beaten a whole mess of new moves opens up and I found myself playing just to open more moves as this is easily the best part of the game. Challenges can be as simple as running a course as fast as you can or as funny as Gamma Golf where the Hulk acutally plays golf whith an 8 foot steel ball and an oil rig pump as a club. Crazy!

Hulk starts out with a pretty standard set of punches but soon you are able to sonic clap, ground slam, head but, rip cars in half, smash busses into sheilds, jump on helicopters and on and on and on. My personal favorite is the Critical Sonic Clap. When Hulk's power maxes out he enters Critial Mass and you can do other special moves in this state. The Critical Clap pretty much blows up anything within 200 feet of the Hulk and can even destoy two or three Hulkbuster mechs in one hit. You really do get a sense of power as you play and most of the moves are pretty easy to execute. There are a couple of tough ones though.

My only real complaint is that sometimes I find that I wish things were a bit bigger on screen. I understand that they had to make things small because the Hulk and his enemies are so huge and we do need to see the screen after all. But the puny humans are so tiny that its hard to see soldiers until after they shoot a missle at you. Of course you can punch the missle back or catch it and throw it later in the came so that makes up for it some. Of course the bosses are as huge and sometimes even bigger than the Hulk.

By the way, keep you ear tuned to Ron Pearlman (Hellboy) as the voice of Emil Blonsky. Cool!

So, grab a controller and get to smashing!

This is an awesome game. Expeccially with the cheat codes they don't get you farther in the game. All they do is unlock moves, shorts, and more awesome enhancers!

So far I have unlocked two levels. The first one is a city where most level decor cheat codes work and this place also has a bigger population. The next level the Badlands is a desert area. The bad part is it has a small population and the threat level always is up and taks are after you 24/7!

SO if you like games like GTA or True Crime, this is the game for you. Personally I do not like either of those games because I don't find it fun to hurt innocent people. But Hulk Ultimate Destruction is destroying but not in an evil sick way, but in a fun humorous way!

Hulk: ultimate destruction is one fun game. As you should have guessed by now, the player takes control of the hulk and...well...destroys stuff. (of course there's more to the game than that, but i'll save that for later) The first major world in the game is a dark, rainy city. You can roam around freely and spread terror and destruction, or you can take on missions that move the story along. There are also bonus missions that you can do to earn extra points. If you choose to roam the city, there are tons of things to experience. Almost any object you find can be turned into a weapon, and that includes cars, trees, people and even a giant hamburger located outside of a fast food joint. When you pick up an object you will be given several choices of what to do with it. A press of the X button will throw the object (or person); press the Y button to slam the object against the ground, creating a huge crater if you charge up enough; if you picked up a person, you can press the A button to punch them around a little bit. This theme of using everything as a weapon is especially fun when the enemies come in. You can play a mock games of "baseball" by hitting soldiers across the city with a tree trunk (eventually, you will actually find a bonus mission in which you must see how far you can hit a soldier with a concrete column), you can throw cars or other objects at enemy helicopters, and you can even pick up a soldier and fling him at his buddy. Keeping with the "everything's a weapon" theme, some objects can be "weaponized". This is a special techinique that can only be used at certian times. For example, if you pick up a small car, instead of throwing it at a hapless soldier, you can tap the Y button to weaponize it, tearing it in two and wearing each half of the car like a glove. Time to lay the smack down. Not only is it fun to destroy the city, but you also get points for pretty much everything you smash! (Except for civilians...but what the hey, i'll smash them anyway.) These points can then be used to buy new moves to fight enemies with. If you plan on spending a lot of time crushing the cities and not as much time on the missions, you may find that there aren't very many moves to purchase, and you may be left wondering what to do with all of these points that you've racked up. Still, the moves are fun to execute, especially the more powerful ones like "Sonic Clap". Throughout the dity you'll find "!" marks on streets and buildings. When you walk into one of these and press A, you will enter a bonus mission. These missions are fun little distractions, and they help you to get points. Some are a little hard to figure out at first, but once you do you should get the hang of them. The majority of them are quite amusing. Finally, we get to the story mode. The story is good enough to move the game along at a brisk pace, and the cutscenes that tell the story look great for the most part. Story missions often task you with completing somewhat challenging, but still quite fun objectives. One mission might have you travelling from point A to point B without dieing, while another might have you protect a certian location and yet another will ask you to retrieve certian items and bring them back to your hideout undamaged. There is a pretty good variety to the missions, and they are very fun too. So here's the breakdown on Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction.
Graphics: 8/10- The characters and the city all look nice, but not great. The cutscenes look good.
Sound: 9/10- This game's soundtrack play a lot like a blockbuster movie's. Fun and usually sets the mood nicely.
Control: 10/10- The Hulk controls perfectly, and the layout on the controller is good and comfortable to use.
Entertainment: 9/10- So far, no aspect of this game has showed any sign of growing stale. I took it over to a friend's house today for a party, and his little sister's friend played the game for hours! This will definatly be in my Gamecube for a good while.
Overall, Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction gets a 9.25/10 (not the average. the average is actually 9, but i gave it a little bonus since it's so darn fun.)
