this game is just a very fun game to play...I would reccommend it to any one, not just people who like wrestling games, some of the moves in the game are just absoluletly hilarious and so are some of the characters and the gameplay is just so much fun.

[not quite] ultimate muscle

Ultimate Muscle is one of the better wrestlers I've played. Perhaps its greatest advantage over others is its speed. But it suffers from general wrestling game disease. While there is some skill involved in timing blocks and grapples just right, the game is hampered by an interface that requires too little from the player. I get tired of having to stop the action to watch a move neither player has any control over. I shouldn't be too hard on the game, however. It is fun, and with other players, it can be quite frantic. But this creates another problem: the only player having fun is the one winning. Getting the crap beat out of you is frustrating, and it happens a lot. But if you like wrestling games, Ultimate Muscle isn't bad. Yet if you're like me, you'll find more enjoyment in senseless beating with Super Smash Bros.

I like to have my rice with cow cow cow! It tastes...

A cel-shaded wrestling game based on an anime based on tiny collectible rubber eraser-lookin' figures from the past? Sure, why not?! Add Ultimate Muscle to the growing list (two, at last count) of wrestling games for people who don't normally like wrestling games. It boasts a fun engine, endearingly weird characters, and funny voices and sound effects, but lacks a few key customization options that keep it from becoming the ultimate champ. Ultimate Muscle is developed by AKI (Def Jam Vendetta), an elite developer that had its heyday back in the N64 era. Lots of AKI touches are here (the dynamic camera angles, fast moves, the wrestlers' Final Fantasy Summon-like ultimate moves, and the way the wrestlers sell the pain), but the fighting system is definitely a bit simpler. Some wrestlers are faster and others are slower, and some are better grapplers than others. Ultimately, though, once you know one character, you know them all-meaning Ultimate Muscle is easy to learn, but quick to get old. Some collision-detection problems make the graphics unconvincing as wrestlers' holds frequently clip through their opponents' bodies. Ultimate Muscle's Story mode is fun, enabling you to unlock a web of new characters as you play through each wrestler's weird little tale; the create-a-wrestler feature, however, isn't nearly as robust as THQ's WWE games- Ultimate Muscle's is just a mix-n-match-a-thon of 20 whacked-out coconut heads and funny naming options-but hey, at least it's there. While Ultimate Muscle isn't as good a wrestler as Def Jam, it's equally absurd in its own happy way-another solid, simple, and fun alternative to the WWE juggernaut.

This game is so awesome from the moment I picked it up to the moment I played it. Even if you don't have a Gamecube buy this game so you can just look at it! Then of course get a Gamecube because this game is sooo worth it.

This is a very fun game. Imagine wrestling moves that are 100 times more brutal. Things that will never be seen in a real ring. You'll want to play this just to be in awe. Big replay value as well. 5 stars!

this game is pretty awesome. i wanted to buy this game so badly. i kept waiting and waiting but it didnt come out so while i was waiting i went to toysrus and places to play the game and it was fun playing it wit my friend, but when i actually bought the game it was awesome. until i finished the whole game. it started to get boring. it was only fun when i played in toysrus and places. there arent that much moves and specials, so it got a little boring.

while this game is not exactly traditional 'pro-wrestling', like WWE, or any of the other wrestling circuits, it's a classic in it's own way! it strays from the 3 count pin rule, for a boxing knock-out, street fighter type of win. with an amazing arcade flavor, that even rivals any game in it's genre for any of the other systems! the sounds are top notch, nice hard smacks, and crowd ambience, and commentators too! this game is based on the anime series of the same name, and not having seen the series, this game is fun, so you don't have to be a fan to appreciate the characters! with whole selection of cool wrestlers, like 'Walrus Man', 'Kid Muscle', 'Chiwawau Man', and many others, plus you can unlock more! A character called 'Meat', throws in power-ups, which can pick up. Graphics are just clean, cel-shaded beauty, the actual gameplay looks like a cartoon! Overall this title is an amazing game for the Nintendo GameCube!!!
