I got Dr. Mario for my 30 something daughter. She loved the game then and she loves it as much now. She'll have trouble getting it away from her 7 year old son. It's still easy to understand and just as addicting as it was many moons ago. And the puzzle league is fun for them too.

I have looked for the upgrade to Tetris Attack for years. (Since the Super Nintendo). I just didn't realize that they changed the name. Plays the same, just doesn't have the intermissions. I enjoy the game.

I enjoyed this game with the Super Nes. So when I found it for the DS I quickly ordered it. It is just like the early game. Puzzle league is good but I was hoping it would have all the puzzles from that earlier game but it doesn't. It is still fun but not as enjoyable as the full game was for the Super Nes.

Nintendo is getting out of hand. Mario games are getting crappier, crappier and crappier. Mario is for one year olds. He should die. Maybe Sonic, Halo or any other character that doesn't come from nintendo should be world famous than this weakest-character-in-the-video game-history. All of his games is junk. This game is badd.

You really don't need Puzzle League

I bought this because I've been a Dr. Mario fanatic since I was in grade school and it gives me both nostalgic and entertainment pleasures. Dr. Mario is great but puzzle league sucks...

Great classic paired with a real gem

Dr. Mario is as fun as ever. I'm not real pleased with the revised graphics. I don't care to see Mario sway while holding the next vitamin, nor do I need to see him dance at the completion of the stage. There's a lot of screen real estate wasted on the GBA SP platform; this could have been used for a more detailed playing field.
Puzzle League is one of those games that intrigues then addicts. It's pretty darn cool in its simple play but complicated potential. This cart is a great buy for older gamers that need to kill time occaisionally.

HORRIBLY ADDICTIVE!

This is such a fun game, and both of the games, Dr Mario and Puzzle League are truly addictive! I bought it for my son, and between him and me, I don't know who likes to play it more!!

Great for puzzle game fans, but not for everyone

I am a puzzle game fanatic. From Tetris to PoyoPop to Kirbii No Kira Kira Kizzu (only released in japan). My three favorites are Meteos, Panal de PonPon (Puzzle League), and Dr.Mario. This game has the later two. This pack is a real deal. two of the gratest puzzle games of all time in one pack. they have no story though. some people arent into puzzle games. i love puzzle games because they give me a challenge. if you like challanges you will love this. Puzzle League contains many modes of play Including puzzle , garbage (a mode that you have to get rid of certain blocks before the pile up too high), and time attack. this game is defenitly woth a rent. then decide if you want to buy it.

Harkening back to the old school GameBoy era, Nintendo's releasing a GBA combination game cart which features two great classic Nintendo puzzler titles, Dr. Mario and Puzzle League.
For those uninitiated, Dr. Mario is a puzzle game where, Mario assumes the role of a pharmaceutical druggist who's tasked to get rid of the nasty viruses by dropping colored pills into a bottle--don't ask me the scientific theory behind matching four of the same colored pills and viruses to eliminate them. While Dr. Mario is a hugely popular Nintendo franchise, many Nintendo neophytes may not recognize Puzzle League under its current name; however diehard puzzle fans may recall the various monikers the series has assumed over the years, such as Tetris Attack, Panel de Pon, and Pokemon Puzzle League. In Puzzle League, players are tasked to match three pieces of the same color to eliminate them before the screen fill up--simple and entertaining.

For Tetris Attack, Panel De Pon, and Puzzle League lovers!

I thought I was going to have to fork over some cash to pick up an old school Super NES and Tetris Attack but they finally made this game available for Gameboy Advance. I could care less about Dr. Mario. I used to own Dr. Mario for the original Gameboy but it was never a game that impressed me that much. But Puzzle League (aka Tetris Attack or Panel de Pon) is a classic puzzle game that is probably the absolute most addicting puzzle game I have ever played. It seems that this game has a very small yet obsessive following. The people that do know about this game all swear its the best game ever invented.

They did release a version for Gameboy Color called Pokemon Puzzle Challenge and an N64 version called Pokemon Puzzle League.

There are a few modes you can play:
1 Player Solo - Marathon, Timed, Line, Garbage, Puzzle
1 Player vs. CPU - Vs. Garbage, Vs. Timed, Vs. Line

2 Player - requires a multi-link cable but you can play with a single cartridge.

Pros:
- Multi-player w/ one cartridge
- Sleep mode - You can put the game in sleep mode to pause it which will turn off the gameboy, and when you turn it back on the game will resume.
- SRAM - Stats can be saved

Cons:
- No characters (Cute original Tetris Attack characters or Pokemon)
- Price - They should have just put Puzzle League on a cartridge of its own and lowered the price.

All in all, this is a perfect translation of the classic puzzle game for the Gameboy Advance.
