This is the best of all the Dragonball/Z/GT Games Yet

Like the other games in the series I bought this at the time of release, and was thrilled with it. There are more characters than ever, including fusions. You can also turn Super Saiyan 3 (but somehow they missed out 2), which like turning Super Saiyan in the second game, is a big plus. This game has practically no flaws except for the name. If anything it should be something like Dragonball Z: Legacy Of Goku III: Buu's Fury. Oh Well. The story this time completes the series, and goes from the Great Saiyaman Saga, to after the Kid Buu Saga.

There's nothing wrong with the graphics of this game. Everything is as good as the last game. The doors are still in the game, and the energy attacks are as good as the last game too. One thing that has been changed is that when you turn Super Saiyan you now have a new energy bar, so energy is not as big a problem as it was in the last two games. The fusions in the game are exectued in the same way as in Dragonball Z Budokai 2. A screen pops up with an order of buttons, that you have a certain amount of time to press correctly. It may take a little practice, but after you get the hang of it, fusion is no problem.

The controls are the same as the last games, again with the exception of fusion, and flying. You still have signiture energy attacks, but now they can level up as well.

Overall this is a great game, and although it is very easy to beat (I beat it in about a day, complete with mistakes), it is very fun. The side quests like in the last game are mostly easy to ignore, but if you want to unlock all the characters, and fight everyone you can, I would finish all of them. A very fun game for a Dragonball Z fan.

WAY TOO SHORT

This is a really fun game. It's one of my favorites you can be Vegeta, Trunks, Goten, Goku, and Gohan. It's really fun being the Great Saiyaman. You have all of Gohans attacks and you look really cool. Goku loses spirit bomb which is really stupid but gets instant transmission. If you ever played Legacy of Goku 2 then you will think Vegeta sucks but soon you will find out he is the best non fused character. The best characters are Gotenks and Gogeta.

Pros

Fun to be the characters. Good equipment. Ability to be bosses in dojo. Great game.

Cons

Way too short. Can beat in two hours. Graphics horrible.

Gameplay 3/5

Fun but easy to make it simple. Even the last boss is easy. In Legacy of Goku 2. All the bosses were hard especially Cell. This game is also too short to enjoy.

Graphics 1/5

They suck nothing more to say.

Music 4/5

I'm a big fan of DBZ and I really like their music so if your a DBZ fan which you probrally are you'll love the music.

Replay Value 1/5

Since it's so hard to level up and boring at the beggining and hard to find items I give this a 1.

Storyline 5/5

I love DBZ so the storyline is good. It's the same as the show.

Variety 3/5

It gives a lot of equipment, characters, fusions, and moves but you can usually only be one character per chapter. And you can also be bosses in dojo

Surprise 5/5

If you watch the show it's no surprise but if you didn't it's a big surprise, and who ever thought they would throw in some gt parts and Broly and the ability to unlock Gogeta.

Overall

If you don't care that the game is easy, short, annoying, but fun go ahead and waste $30.

Can Buu be stopped? Fate is in YOUR hands.

It has been peaceful on earth since that fateful day of the Cell games. Goku is dead, and Gohan has finally settled down to do his studies like his mother always wanted. Gohan has a little brother named Goten. Trunks is now 8 years old, and undergoes rigorous training with his father, Vegeta. Things are finally calm. Little do the Z-Fighters know, a great evil lies dormant on the earth.

This game goes from the other world tournament saga to the kid buu saga. This game is really fun. You play as Goku, Gohan, Goten, Trunks, Vegeta, Gotenks, Vegito, and Gogeta. The attacks are really good. I was sad to see Goku's spirit bomb go away, but instant transmission is a really awesome attack. Vegeta loses energy punch and gets final flash, a really cool attack. The bosses are pretty easy if you train well, but they are fun to fight. My favorite was Brolly. Thats right, BROLLY is in the game. Equipping your character with armor is really helpful. During a fight with Majin Buu, Goku becomes Super Saiyan 3. It is a strong technique, but it runs out pretty fast. Later in the game, Gohan is unable to become Super Saiyan, and although Vegeta can't become Super Saiyan 3, he is my favorite and one of the best characters. A really fun part is after you become Vegito and you are absorbed by Buu, you have to fight your friends. Dun, DUN, DUUUUN. There are a couple of surprise playable characters and some surprising twists and turns along the way. Play the game and unlock these secrets.

P.S- You may have heard some rumours that there is SS4 Vegeta. Well, that is not true. I raised Vegeta to level 200 and nothing. Unless there is some secret code, it is impossible.

Ultimate dbz gameboy game

To date this is my only dbz gameboy game, so i can't compare it to the others, but i was still very impressed. The game follows the babbidi, and buu storylines very closely, with the part about gohan and high school added on. Some of the slow parts have baddies added to them, like when the dragonballz are collected, you have to play as trunks or goten to find them. The enemies are always getting stronger, and often times you have to stop and train to get through gates. The gates need a certain charcter(goten, gohan, vegeta, trunks, and goku) to be at a certain level to pass by. I recommend reading the instruction booklet for this game, because there are many litle things you can do to get stronger. Like spending the stat points you earn by leveling up, you do this by adding them to str=punches, pow=energy attacks, or dur=hit points. Doing this will let you get really strong in addition to leveling up, and using your equip items. Even if you may have a newer dbz game like supersonic warriors, i reccomend buying this game for its strong bosses, smooth gameplay, and the fun you get from whipping all the bad guys.

Great

Ok, so I'm a fan of DBZ, but that really doesn't count. I'm doing this review from a gamer's POV. And honestly, I liked this game. You can now level up past 50 (You start out with a Lvl 60 Goku), and you can equip things and upgrade your attacks (such as Gohan's Electric Kamehameha). Plus, there's new moves like Instant Transmission and blocking, and there's even more transformations like Super Saiyan 3 and Majin Vegeta. Not only that, but there are fusions! Also, you can battle and trade with other friends, sort of like Atari's DBZ version of Pokemon (well, not quite, but you get the idea). The only problem I had with the game is I could use the same strategy I used in Legacy of Goku 2 to defeat every single enemy, which makes the game too easy (I merely pound on the A button while moving towards my opponents). But anyway, a fun game that you can come back and play a lot of times.

I do not have this game...however, it must be awesome. I have seen pictures of this game, and I must say out of all the legacy or Goku games so far, this is the best. I have to get payed from my report card over times and times..but, hey, time sure flies. I will get $20.00 for A's and B's on my report card. Making 20 each time from my parents and grandparents. Then, my mom will pay the last 10-or if I get it off here-it will be the last 4. So, I intend on getting this game. My favorite character is Vegeta. Although he can't turn to S.S.3, he can turn into S.S.4 in this game.

Fun, but easy

This is a pretty fun game, considereing that I'm a DBZ fan. But I think it's too short. Not to mention sorta easy. The bosses in this game are weaklings, even Kid Buu. All I did was ram the bosses into walls and I kept punching and them fast until they died. If they escaped the wall, I continuously shot energy blasts at them until I back them into the wall again. It was that simple. This game starts at the World Tournament Saga and ends at the Kid Buu Saga. There were also a couple parts that weren't in the original DBZ storyline. You can play Goten, Trunks, Goku, Vegito, Gohan, Vegeta, and Gotenks. Goku loses Spirit Bomb, but gets Instant Transmission. Also, there is a secret character you can unlock in the game. It took me about 6 hours to beat it. So if you are going to get it, be sure to know it's not really going to be that much of a challenge.

Fun, but too short and repetitive

The only reason i bought it was becauseof dbz and this disappointed me. A 6 hour long game with boring sidequests and easy boss fights. And after you beat the game, all you have left to do is unlock (secret character) and get all char. levels maxed out and then there's basically no point to the game at all. One more thing. The level up system is way too fast. I'm at 121, i kill a kinda strong guy just after levelling up, i level up again!!! Much too easy for my liking. Get Legacy Of Goku 2 instead
