Graphics could be better.

In this game you play "Duel Masters" card game. Oh, and there is some kind of storyline. I think?

I find the card gameplay extremely addictive, but the graphics in this game are not very good. They are extremely poor, in fact. The pictures are not inspiring, the texts are almost unreadable and the dueling interface is way too cumbersome. In short, it could have been much better with a little effort.

Duel Masters: Sempi Legends....

I'll admit it....I'm into games like Magic: the Gathering, the Pokemon Trading Card Game, and Yu-Gi-Oh!. There's just something about games like them that interest me. So, you'd think I'm be pretty excited about Duel Masters: Sempi Legends. Well, to be honest- I'd never heard of it til I saw it at our neighborhood Wallyworld(Wal-Mart, for those that don't know). After seeing it several times when I went there to shop, I decided to give it a try. I'm happy that I did because Duel Masters: Sempi Legends is a great card game to play on the Gameboy Advance. It's a good-paced card game that includes 180 cards from base set and expansion where the story follows your attempt to retrieve an ultra-rare card that was stolen from you. It's your chance to become a true Kaijudo Master. It's really addicting to play and, in some ways, even surpasses my favorite cardgame of Yu-Gi-Oh!
If I had one gripe, it would be that you can beat this game alot more quickly than Yu-Gi-Oh!. But, that is a really minor gripe.
At any rate, if you're into card-games on the GBA or looking for some practice for the real game, Get this game. It's definitely worth it...believe me.

gameplay too short!!!!!!!!

The game is fine, but two problems. 1. card pictures don't look like the real ones. 2. short gameplay ,once you beat the final contest you get your stolen card , after that you face the aqua people , whose deck is like a starter deck to me , to get the cards you do not have. I got all the cards , including the stolen card , and the duel room in less than a week! So if you have a lot of extra money you can buy this , if not I wouldn't.

This game is just like the show on cartoon networks toonami.

The first time I ever heard of Duel Masters was when Toonami showed the first 4 episodes pasted together and called it a Duel Masters "Movie." It got me interested right away and I decided to get the Starter Deck. After buying quite a few booster packs, I learned a Duel Masters game was coming out. Like the cards, I bought it right away.

Compared to the Yu-Gi-Oh! games, this game is awesome. I had no real complaints about Eternal Duelist Soul, but it was missing any sort of plot what-so-ever. The Worldwide Edition game (Sorry, I forget the exact title) was just Eternal Duelist Soul with some altering. Sacred Cards was good RPG, but in terms of dueling, it was bad.

As you can see, Yu-Gi-Oh! games are going down in quality. Here's how I rate it:

Music/Sounds - 10/10 - The sounds are great, especailly in the battle sequences. The music, unlike some Yu-Gi-Oh games, isn't annoying and I sometimes find myself singing along with the tunes!

Graphics - 10/10 - The graphics exceed even that of Yu-Gi-Oh! The monsters are very detailed, each with an individual attack. Everything, which includes the people, battlefields, monsters, scenery, I mean EVERYTHING, is wonderful.

Roleplaying - 8/10 - Everything is pretty good here. My only complaint is that you can only move onto certain spaces, like in the Pokemon games. I find it easier to be able to go wherever you want.

Plot - 9/10 - There is a plot unlike most of the Yu-Gi-Oh games. It goes like this: You wake up on your birthday and your friends and parents give you cards. Your dad gives you an Ultra-Rare card depending on what sort of deck you select at the beginning. That night, a burglar steals it and you set out to find him and get your card back. Everything's up to par here.

Free Cards - 6/10 - I hate to say it, but this the only thing wrong with this game. You get some holos (holographics) of some pretty bad cards like Brain Serum, Bronze-Arm Tribe, Rothus the Traveler, Night Master, and Sonic Wing. I'd rather they would have given 3 or 2 decent cards than 5 just plain bad cards.

Overall - 43/60 - This is one of the better games I've played. But you know what? Ignore the rating. You can decide for yourself if you like it. But, before I finish, I wanna say a few things: BUY THIS GAME!

This Game Stinks!!!!!!!!!

Atari finally came out with a duelmasters video game. At first I thought this would be a popular product, but its not. Graphics stink, gameplay stinks and it's just plain old boring. The 5 cards that come with stink too. You could buy all of them together for 10 cents!! I am a collector of the card game and enjoy it very much, but this is just a piece of crap!!!Collect and play the Duelmasters card game instead, you won't regret it.

A deeper, better video game than Yu-Gi-Oh...

Duel Masters: Sempai Legends is a fun Colectable card game/rpg. The game is deeper than Yu-Gi-Oh and can be considered an easier version of Magic The Gathering. (The same people make Magic and Duel Masters) There aren't a lot of wasted cards like in Yu-Gi-Oh and there are a lot more strategy to the game. As for the video game itself, it is set up like YGO: The Sacred Cards, but the quest is longer and plays out a lot like a Pokemon game. Graphics are so-so. Sound is pleasant. The only big complaint I have is with the text used in the game. It is very small and blocky, making it difficult to read some things, especially dialogue.

Great Video AND Card Game.

I'm a big fan of collectible cards (collecting stuff will be my doom), so I tried out Duel Masters. Somebody told me to try out the videogame if I wanted to learn the game mechanics quickly and have a good tutorial on how to play.

So I went on and bought the Sempai Legends. Now, for once, a cool game based on cards!
Lately Yu-Gi-Oh has been providing us with some of the worst stuff on the planet...
The Sempai Legends has everything you need:
1)A whole set of cards from which to custom make your deck (and some cool folio "real" cards inside the box).
2)A fun story mode that gives you the possibility of exploring a cartoon style world while trying to catch an evil dueler who has robbed one of your most precious cards.
3)Easy to use menus: customizing your deck is fun and quick.
4)Cool card graphics, great 2D anime-like graphics for your character and environment. Nice music.
5)...but especially... AWESOME MONSTERS. Not little cute Pokemons, or strange Egyptian freaks...HUGE SHARP BAD DUDE MONSTERS with cool powers and weapons that battle each other using their special attacks.

I started playing the card game after I went through the video game.
Listen to my advice, buy the video game then play the card game!
If you already play the card game, create your deck in the video game and get to train your skills. Some in-game duelers are really strong and use intelligent deck strategies.

Crappy Free Cards

I wrote a review about this game last week but Amazon did not publish it because the title contained the word "suck"
The free cards suck but the game is okay.
