YUCK!!!

Ok so Im in Toys"r"us and I found a Dreamcast station with Chu Chu Rocket (what kind of name is that?) so I played it. The controls were so tough to learn the instant you play so unlike Mario Kart 64. And why dosen't Sega take advantage of the graphics of the Dreamcast?? Also it becomes repetitive. If you want a fun, long lasting and easy to learn game go fetch a Mario or Crash Bandicoot game. As in my title YUCK!!!

WAY TO EASY AND UNFUN

This is the easiest game ever, me and my friend beat the whole game in 45 minutes. It is fun the first time you play and then you just lose interest. I recommend renting before buying.

this game makes me laugh. not necesarily in a bad way but it makes me laugh. The thought of kapukapu cats and chu mice are enough to make me not buy this game. since it was the only multiplayer option i was stuck with it. the one player action can be dull but interesting at best. The real spot the game shines in is multiplayer. I would say you have to have a keyboard to get the full effect of online fun but it is manageable without. a nice feature is the ability to taunt your opponents during play and to have team battles as well as a record showing how good you are. This game is an ok choice but i would wait for baldurs gate or quake III before plunking ... bucks on this.

Good DC Game -

This is a fun, clever puzzler game. It's cheap, it's on Dreamcast--if you are lucky enough to find it. I would not advise spending more than 10 dollars for it. There's a fair amount of 1P puzzles to keep you busy, they become more challenging, I think there should've been more still. 2-4Player is a nice brand of chaos, it doubles as one of the top Party Games. Thankfully, you can turn down the speed to quite slow, but you cannot remove '?' Mice for mode-changing in a game, you can only choose Normal or Many, but you soon realize the question marked mice are the name of the game. You'll have fun for awhile, but the modes are awkward and unvarying. There are no good graphics and ONLY ONE cinema scene, which appears shortly when a game ends. There should have at least been a start-up scene with mice scurrying into a rocket in 3d. Strangely enough, the back of the game GD shows the game in the most pathetic jpeg ever, can't SEGA get a decent shot of their own game for the GD case? Worth buying, at least rent, it's not for everyone, but it's a lot like Worms World Party. There isn't a random level generator, either. Only the colors really change. If you like having to work frantically fast at something difficult, this is for you, but I don't care for the main attraction as much as I did the 1P puzzles. This was given away for free in other places, and I think that's how it should have been distributed, it's good fun, but comes off as just a glorified mini-game, they could've fit it into Sonic Adv. 2. Compared to Mario Party 4 which has 50 mini-games, Chu Chu is just one. It's not quite Chess or Tetris, but it's worth picking up.

pretty darn fun

this game is pretty cool, dispite the name, but it's still overated. i honestly thought this was a game for a five year old the first time i saw it but it proved me wrong. the multiplayer mode is much better than the individual mode. a very annoying thing is the mice. they just go around and around in circles, which i guess is the point, but it can get really annoying sometimes but if you want a fun multiplayer game go ahead and buy this game! it's not that expensive and it's pretty darn fun on top of that!

adictive-fun!

It's pretty good. Not great. At least not as great as a lot of the reviewers seem to think. You'll spend more time trying to figure out what's going on than you will playing, and the game is so constantly interrupted by mode changes (everybody switch spots, speed up, slow down, cat mania, etc.) that you can rarely get into any type of groove with what's going on. Don't get me wrong - it's frantic, fast, and pretty fun, but it's also often confusing, and some of the level layouts make the gameplay frustrating. The lag times on the on-line version significantly detract from the quick-decision gameplay. If you're looking for a simple 4-player party game that anybody can pick up and enjoy right away (without being a game nut), get Mario Party or Smash Brothers for N64. Chu Chu's a bit too wacked-out, but it's still better than average.

Get some friends and you'll love it

This game's puzzle mode is sub-par and pretty boring. But bring in some friends and begin the no-holds-barred multiplayer mode and BANG! Instant fun. If you liked Lemmings, you'll absolutely love Chu Chu Rocket, especially the Two-Player Mission Mode, which is sadly way too short. But the real life of the game is the competitive mode, and it's one you won't want to miss, even if you just have to rent it. This game is fun... don't pass it up for anything! The graphics and sound, however, could have been more without even detracting from the gameplay. Also, the internet mode has enough lag to keep you from really being hooked on it, because it nullifies the quick-decision gameplay.

I myself aren't one of these people who like puzzle games much but I still enjoyed chu chu rocket. It is packed with play ability. The only thing that lets it down is the puzzles do get samey. Many of my friends like it as well. it is a landmark in puzzle history! some other good points are the fact that you can play it on the internet and it has fun multiplayer. It has only got one downpoint the graphics arn't very good which like many puzzle games on this and other systems is acceptable.

Good game but could have been better.

Chu chu Rocket is a good game, but once you complete the game it gets boring. The puzzle mode is really hard, but I cleared it. There are other modes like some 4 player ones. Once you complete the puzzle mode, all you get is a new character instead of chu chus. I thought that when you complete the puzzle mode you get another new mode. In puzzle challenge you have 30 seconds to clear the levels, so it's too hard. But you can create some puzzles that it makes the game better.
