You get what you pay for....

This was a inexpensive Wii game - around $20. I bought this for my kids (ages 9 and 11) because it was so cheap - but now I wished I have saved my money. We played the games a couple of times, but have spent a lot more time using the other games I bought. I would not recommend this product.

Love it or Hate it

Reading all of the reviews, most reviewers either love it or hate it. We fall into the "love it" category.

My 11 year old spends hours on end with the Wii Sports, perfecting his back swing, bowling, baseball, etc. It's not even fun to play when you know at the beginning of the game he'll soon be mopping the floor with you.

*However* with Game Party, I actually have a fighting chance. I am definitely -not- a gamer and I automatically figured out the mechanics of Ping Cup. My one true regret is that I taught everyone else how to do it and now get trounced regularly by my husband. Live and learn...

In short, for $20, this is a great game, especially for those who can't do the 3D graphics-type game. I'm at a loss for Super Mario Galaxy, but find Shuffleboard, Darts and Skill Ball fun.

Fun game, a steal for the price

Pretty good game. Controls are a little difficult to figure out in the beginning, but once you play some it becomes much more fun. Good game to play with your friends, particularly shuffleboard and ping cup (beer pong).

Waste of Money

My friends bought this game, thinking $20 isn't too bad for a Wii game, besides how bad can a game get. Apparently, pretty bad. The controls are horrible. There are only 5 or 6 mini games, and they get old very quickly. I'd save your money and buy another cheap game, maybe Carnival Games (which I haven't played). If you can pick this game up for $5 or less, go for it. Otherwise, rent it or borrow it first.

darn it, fooled again

i was really really really really hoping this game would have been better. the controls are very hard to get used to (if that's even possible). just not as easy to use as i was hoping and it would have been better to be able to use your own mii's. if you find it under 10 bucks then you're doing ok

Great for parties!

I bought this game for my husband because we both enjoy the "Wii Sports" games and we thought this would give us a little more variety of games to play. Also, we enjoy the group aspect of the Wii and thought this would be fun to play during get-togethers.

We were right!

The games are fun. My one complaint about the games is that the Shuffle Board game is such a slow pace, but then again, it's shuffle board! Darts is our family favorite along with Skillball.

It's great for parties or just for groups in general, fun for all ages.

Good times with Game Party

Game Party is a lot of fun. My favorite games are Skii Ball and Hoop Shoot. The Trivia Game is pretty fun too. I haven't played Shuffleboard or Hockey yet, and darts was difficult as it is not quite accurate and takes some time getting used to. Overall, for $[...], this is a good game to get for the Wii but I wouldn't recommend it if it was over $[...].

Wii have fun with Wii Game Party

What I like about this game was that I wanted air hockey and this has it! I also like that the darts and shuffleboard have a 4 player option. We've been trying to find Wii games to play with our kids (teens) and this fits the bill. What I don't like, and why it got 4 not 5 stars, is that you can't use your Mii, and the skii ball and basketball are one player only. You can unlock extra players and equipment with "tickets" that can be earned as you play. Nothing too earth shattering. One quirk of the game is how the chararacters that are in the crowd watching the play have a bizzare habit of wiping imaginary crumbs off their shirts. You have to check that out, it's very funny. I'd recommend this game and think you'll have fun with it too.

Fun games

We love realistic games on the Wii, so I thought we'd probably enjoy Game Party. And seeing as how it contains some games that we don't already have on other game discs, I decided to grab it when I came across it.

It's not the absolute best game out there, but we've enjoyed it. It's a bit too advanced for our 5 year old (who can play Wii Sports, Wii Play, and Carnival Games easily), but my husband and I have both played it and had fun. The games offered are a decent variety, enough to keep our attention for a couple of hours or so. This is also another good game to play when you have friends/family over, one that almost anyone can play. And being in the $20-$25 range, it's a lot cheaper than other Wii games.

If you're a hard core gamer, then this isn't your kind of game. However if you're like us and enjoy realistic, family-friendly games, then this is a good addition to your game line-up.

Very good physics & controls of 7 games

I rented this & only had an hour to play....
-So many peole have written great detailed reviews about:
-weird wiping motion of the audience
-great feel/music/presentation
-great use of the wii remote to simulate how you'd do it for real (though -some are a little off angle)
-the disapointment of 1 player games like hoops
-unlockables like diff color balls, etc.
-so many characters to choose from & lucky none have any impact on your -controlling aim - games angle/rotate like wii sports (skill ball, shuffleboard)

Darts - 2 player - has several games: standard, 301, 501, etc. very realistic execution, even pops off the metal if hit it
Hoop shoot - 1 player - takes a bit to get the feel down, but very realistic, gets you off a chair, I loved it
Skill ball/Skee ball - 1 player - realistic controls, feels just as exciting as real thing if that game is the type you like, not a fav of mine in real life, but cute
Shuffleboard - tabletop with small metal/plastic disks, realistic sounds, good physics though aim tends to go a little more to right then aim shows but reactions are real, though puck moves a bit slow
Ping cup/beer pong - never played it in real life, takes a min to find your sweet spot/feel how to bounce or not, cute
Trivia - 4 players - spin the wheel of subjects & 4 multi choice answers with time limit & your remote vibrates slightly if answer wrong, but only get one chance to answer. trivia isn't a game I like normally, but I love the simple tv quiz game look of the "contestants"

Air hockey - LOVED it, not sure why people found the wii play beeter, I hated it since that one if you move your hand an inch you move off the board. in this you move with the eye of the character though you're looking down on the board. so you move forward & can reac almost to the middle of the board, right.. very smooth movement & true to live of the puck, same as the smooth arm movements & speed & accuracy of the move. I thought it was perfect. since you are looking down like a onlooker & not 1st person, I had to turn my head to side to orient myself at first. yes, I did score on myself several times at first, but I got the feel of it quickly & little practice I was making fast more confident shots. to make it easier if it was 1st eprson I think anyone would get it great.

For the presentation & control of the air hockey, hoops & darts, it's worth it to me.
For those who want mroe info, there are many game sites that have done reviews as well as many videos on youtube showing the gameplay.
