Well done by the guys of Ubisoft, because the story is continued from the Sands of Time, but....BUT....the game is too dark, the prince is kind of slow, is toooooo much dificulty get the life upgrade, and if you dont get all the life upgrade you really do not finish the game.
Anywahy is a fun game, is a sequel, it deserves 4 stars, is a good game, but is a pretty diferente style than Sands of Time, and of course from the best of the saga, THE TWO TRONES.

One of the two best games ever

The two best games in the universe are Zelda and Prince of Persia. These two games are amazing! If more games emulated these two video games then it would be astonishing how cool the world would be.

two words for this game

if you're expecting a game like prince of persia: sands of time that's a puzzle-solving sort of game, look elsewhere! this game starts you right in the middle of combat. that wouldn't be a problem.. if the combat was fun. unfortunately, it's not. the controls don't feel good and it's not intuitive. 2 minutes into the game, you're fighting a boss. absolutely ridiculous. it seems they tried to put graphics over gameplay for this game. if you want a fighting game, just play something like devil may cry or ninja gaiden, not this.

I can't jump up the wall!

Yes, in a nutshell, that is my problem with the game. I heard good things about it from reviewers, and did they ever dupe me. I can make it inside the castle to the point where the guy made up of dark flying crows is, then totally beat him up and take absolutely no damage. Then I can't jump up the wall, because you have to double jump more than once, and the camera whirls around on me and I just can't get the timing right.

So I got about twenty minutes into the game, and couldn't proceed. I heard from the online FAQs I read that the game has a bunch of glitches too, but I never made it far enough to hit those.

I can't double jump, the map is useless, I'm not impressed with the potty mouth Prince, and I don't like the camera or heavy metal music. The fighting part is easy. This is the only Prince of Persia game I have ever played, and I can only wonder if they somehow teach the timing better in earlier games in the series. This one was a big waste of time for me.

Awesome!

Great follow up to the orignal. The levels where you are being chases are thrilling (sometimes frusterating too but hey) and the combat is great.

The almost PERFECT game.

The overall game was very good. I liked the story-line, but the game itself could have been longer. On the downside, the game was too dark and the health upgrades were difficult to find without the help of a stategy guide. I did like the new acrobatics and fighting skills and I hope that the 3rd game is just as much fun and hopefully I will be able to see where I am going within the game. I would definitely recommend this game to someone else.

It only gets better and better...

This game is what Tomb Raider is supposed to look like. The game mechanics...the controls... Felt the first was the best overall game. The second is twice as good, but everyone has gotten wise, and now the competition is growing. The developers have realised what adventure gamers really want!

Like Sands of Time, but darker

Warrior Within is very similar in style to the Sands of Time but is darker, more violent, has some minor sexual overtones and a more interesting story line. The most exciting part of the game to me is when the Dahaka starts chasing you. Often times you don't know exactly when he's gonna find you, so it makes the game suspensful and a tad bit scary. I seriously start freaking out when I hear the music start. For the most part the puzzles are easy, and you can pick up the game after not playing it for months and still basically know what you're doing. My biggest complaints are that sometimes when you're in the middle of jumping or running they change the view on you and it sometimes screws me up, and sometimes the perspective is a little off so it makes it hard to see where you are suppose to go. Also, I really don't like blood and guts and sometimes when you do a special sword move on an enemy they put it in slow motion - like do I really need to see this guys head come off in slow motion?! Yuck! I usually would never buy a game with the Mature rating, and I can see why it got this rating, but a lot of times you are killing non-humans, like monsters and weird animals, so it doesn't bother me too much.

I gave it 5 stars, but I still would not recommend this game for children or let my children play it because it is dark, violent, can be gory and the few sexual overtones.
