Great to bring your wife to PS2 world. It's fun but it's kind of complicated to learn how to beat the game/machine.
Song tracks could be more interesting- doesn't need to be todays Bilboard Top 100. It could be a sample ot Bilboard TOP 300 for the last ten years.

Fun times for all

This game is really quite addicting. I started playing it at an arcade in Las Vegas and then found it again at my local arcade and became hooked. The songs are a wide variety of songs and aren't all simply designed for the game. The game is originally a Korean game so there is an entire Korean genre, which I actually enjoy better than the English songs. The Korean songs are easier to dance to and are a lot of fun.

The only downside to the game is if you become too good at it, you'll need to buy a second dance pad in order to play the harder levels. I enjoy unlocking all the songs in the various different modes. Anyone can enjoy just bouncing around and although it's similar to Dance Dance Revolution, I enjoy this game better because it has more fluid moves and more interesting jump combinations. One of the songs makes it feel like you're doing the salsa. I recommend this game to anyone and everyone.

This game is loads of fun. It has a plethora of songs to which you can dance to, but unfourtuneately, some people's legs are a bit too short to move freely about the pad (I'm 6'0 with long legs, so I have absolutely no probelm, although getting accustomed to the gamepad's layout is hard). The only other bad thing about this game is that the mats are not in production anymore, meaning that you need to buy two copies of the game if you wish to play with a friend. MadCatz does not sell the third party mats anymore I think.

The pad breaks

I love this game. Pump it Up is much better than DDR and more challenging, but my pad broke after just two months. The right top button sticks and then won't register most of the time when I step on it, making the game impossible to play. And you can't buy the pad for this game by itself. No pads on the market have a middle button like Pump.

The game is very hard. There should be at least some musics for real beginners. I thought I would be able to play with the kids, but it was not possible.

It really is better than DDR!!!

I first played this game a few months ago at an arcade. After that moment, I searched for this game all over the Internet. This game really is awesome. If you have grown tired of all of the Dance Dance Revolution songs, then this is the game for you. This game has some Latin flavor, some reggae, some hip-hip, some electronica - all of the bases are covered! I give this game 2 thumbs up! After buying this game and playing it it few times, I don't see myself going back to DDR. It's hard to find pads for this game, so you may have to buy two games . . . BUT, it's worth it!

A Step Off The Beaten Pad - An Un-Merry Christmas

This game is unplayable to those of us who have had lives the past five years, therefore having no time to obsessively master this totally pointless game. Not only is it impossible for the normal person, even at beginner level, but it has absolutely no purpose except for extreme pain to its victim. It does not count the calories you've burned, it does not tell you the miles you've run. AND DON'T GET ME STARTED ABOUT THE MUSIC. Have you ever heard of a song called Passionata? How about Masterwok? Who wants to "dance" to obscure Japanese techno? The only people who I can see enjoying this game are masochists, sadists, or both. I must say that playing this game is like playing Twister with a vague-almost-there-but-not-quite techno beat. HELLO? Can you say chiropractor? You can imagine my surprise when I was expecting something similar to Dance Dance Revolution to give my niece. She opened up the box, started playing, and almost threw out her back. And this is a thirteen year old girl who had been dancing for seven years. Do we really want to subject people to this? I mean, come on. We could definitely do better than this. I felt so guilty about my niece's un-merry Christmas that I went right out and bought the RIGHT game, Dance Dance Revolution Extreme. This game throws Pump It Up onto the proverbial floor and stomps it repeatedly - on beat and with great music playing in the backround. To sum it up, this game is something akin to Chinese water torture. I will never, and I mean NEVER trust a review on this site again. I'm just trying to warn other people who may make the same mistake I did. Believe me, if I could give you one piece of advice: Either get Dance Dance Revolution or nothing at all. STAY AWAY FROM THIS EXCRUTIATING GAME OF THROWN-OUT BACKS, TWISTED ANKLES, AND PAINFUL MUSIC.

Whew, I was at my cousins house and she was really into this new arcade hit called Pump It Up. I'm a HUGE dance game fan, I do alot of DDR and Pump was new to me. WOW! What a challenge is this compared to DDR. This game is not all steps and hope, you have to lear rythms, practice your songs and improve. This is a great game to a true arcade dancer, or just a DDR fan that needs some thrill to their routine
