So yeah this is pretty much the best game ever. It has like 40 guns so that right there is automatically amazing. Also, there are these total hotties you fight and after you defeat them, their clothes fall off and you can hug them and take pictures of them. That right there make this game of the year automatically. The game is about 20 hours long, which is braggable. overall, I'd like everyone to know this game makes me feel good, in my heart.

Awesome storyline, game play, graphics, cut-scenes, etc. It's a beautiful game. The only negative is that some of the cut-scenes may be too long, but the graphics and storyline keep you interested.

I was a noobie to consoles until I got a PS2. One of the last games that I truly enjoyed on that venerable console was Metal Gear Solid 3. I loved the story and the action. MGS4 builds up on that and thanks to the raw horsepower of the PS3 makes it one of the few, if not the only, true next gen experience. The enemies are tough to figure out and the graphics and presentation is almost flawless. If you haven't played the first MGS games, go to gametrailers and look for the story compilation. This game is truly a work of art and should be the game of the year, hands down.

Worth the waiting

This is the best game in the MG saga, excellent graphics, overwhelming sound, absorbing gameplay. For the hardcore fans of MG this is a master piece where all questions are answered. If you want to the get the 100% of this game you have to play the previous games. LONG LIVE TO SOLID SNAKE

MGS4 is simply what fans of the series have been waiting for. Hours and hours of gameplay, an unlimited amount of cool stuff to find out about, and there are SO many ways to play the game. If you are a fan of the Metal Gear series, you're gonna love 4, and if you're new to the series, its super easy to get started with.

I had played the original Metal Gear Solid about 6 or 7 years ago and it was amazing for its time. I had dabbled with Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3 but never really was able to get into them. When I saw the ad for 4, I knew I had to have it. After playing it, I went to Wal-Mart, bought a PS2 (since my PS3 is a 40GB) and the Metal Gear Trilogy pack. I have a whole new appreciation for these games after playing 4.

If you have a PS3, it would be a SIN not to own this game! Simply perfect.

The best game of the saga, but...

The plot in MGS 1 has always been the best and most interesting of all. The villains were perfect and Liquid made it a fantastic story. MGS 4 is grat not just for its graphics, but for its playability.
I think Kojima wanted to take some elements from all past MGS games, but sometimes it feels like he just wanted to use a proved formula, instead of going farther. The game is awesome, but gotta say that the plot gets out if Kojima's hands and has some contradictions. I won't say any details so I don't spoil some surprises.
I feel the worst mistake in the saga was turning Ocelot into Liquid. I mean, Liquid wa a great nemesis, a strong warrior and Kojima shuold have accepted the fact that he killed him, but bringing him back through Ocelot ws so lame. Ocelot was a really good character already, and after becomig Liquid he lost all his appeal, like being a master with revolvers.
So, MGS 4 is a good conclusion for the saga, leaves you wishing there would have been more MGS titles before the end, but it's a great job any way. The online gaming is cool, but you can get tired of it before you think because it has only five maps, two of them a bit small, and another is from MGS 3. This one is a must have for any one with a PS3.
