What can I say? This is simply one of the best games ever released for any system, (yes, I'm including PS2 and X-Box) it doesn't quite hit Sonic Adventures' gameplay, it is still superb. Controls will have you a little frantic when you first try them out, but you'll soon be manipulating them like a pro. Your standard mission would be dropping out of an aircraft, locating an enemy mobile suit, boosting over to him and firing your main machine-gun. When you close in, your beam saber pops up and it becomes a furious hand-to-hand battle. Swords probably do the most damage. But during the sword fights, is where the game really shines. After blowing up the enemy (and i mean BLOW. They are really BIG explosions) you have won. Oh yeah, this game isn't half as easy as it sounds.

This game is great!

I think this game is excellent. Even though the play control are a little confusing, the graphics are da bomb. Another great touch is the crystal clear sound. I also wanted to add there ARE the gundams from Gundam Wing! My friend was close to destroying Deathscythe Hell Custom and he also destroyed Wing Gundam! At the end of the mission he talked to virtual Heero Yuy! ( in case you are wondering I saw the whole thing)

Being the experinced gamer that I am it takes a good game to get my attention and this one did. I first rented the game and fimished it in about half a day(with lots of breakes in game play) The thing of it is is that I baught the game after I had beaten it (very strange) and I still play it today. I have a shelf of dust colecting DC games because Gundam has been in my system so long. GO OUT AND BUY THIS GAME

I am a Gundam fanatic, since I was very little,
and if you are one, you should definitely get this game.
the mechs in this game moves and sounds exactly like they
do in the manga, for example, when the mechs hop around(not flying)using their vernier, it feels and sounds like
what you would have imagined it to be like. And fighting
against your enemy using your beam sabre, feels incredible!

However, this game is full of flaws.
first would be the length of it, it is way too short.
there is a story involved(hence,"side story"), and you follow
through it the whole game. there are only about 9 missions
and you will be able to finish the game in about a day or two.
also, when you play it again, the "battle environment" or the
location of the enemies in each level never changes,
greatly reducing its replay value. I just wish that
it had a two or four player mode, or even a internet access
so that people can just go at it with one-another.
Or even a simple single player survivor/mayhem mode.

Another is that the whole game is in first-person view, and there is no option for a third-person.
Personally I like to look at the mech that I'm controlling
cuz I've dreamed about controlling these great looking
wonders since I was in kindergarten.

Plus, there aren't much choice for the Mechs, only 4, and the
best mech of it all, you only get to control it in the
last mission.

It has it's flaws, but if you are a fanboy of gundam series,
you'll luv this game. I mean, you get to control one of these
mechs, isn't that enuf for ya?

and even if you are not a fan of the series, here is your chance to catch the essence of it, just get into the
whole gundam mania.

eventhough it has its gameplay issues, it looks great,
controls great, sound great(the chatters with your wingman),
and again, gundam maniacs out there, get this game!

Gundam games at their best.

This a truly fun game. Short, but amazingly fun.

Graphics: 9/10
Great graphics add to the fun of this game. The mobile suits (giant robots) are very detailed and cool looking. The enviroment isn't the best but are better than your average game.

Gameplay: 9/10
FUN!! You have 4 Moblie souts to choose from. Each with it's weapons. Then you go duke it out with your foe! First gun! Then come in with the swords! The sword fighting makes you feel like your actually in the mobile suit!

Replay Value: 5/10
Too short. A great game and all but just to short. The first time you play is grand, but.... after that it's pretty much just a game in your library. Multiplayer and other modes would make it better.

Finally it is coming here to the States!

I've been a die-hard fan of the Gundam universe ever since the early 80's and I am so excited Sega has decided to finally bring over to the States a Gundam game to the Dreamcast! I've played the demo and am very impressed by it. I'm also glad that Gundam is gaining popularity with American audiences. If you're a huge Mech fan of Macross (Robotech) alike, you must buy this game!

This game is definately not worth the purchase, but rather a rental. This is due to the small amount of missions and lackluster game control. I think the worst part is that you don't even get to pilot the gundam but rather some generic UFF mobilesuilts. The only thrill this game delivers is fighting with Zaku's and Dom's and the well crafted cut scenes. However, the battles are quite tedious as they consist of the same 3 moves; guard, lock on and attack. If you are itching for a good mecha game buy Mechwarrior 3 or Shogo. Rent this game instead as one can beat it in a day or two.
