Great HL2, Good Value

Orange box, is the combination of halflife2, epsiodes 1 and 2, TF2, and portal.

HL2 on xbox 360 has been altered in several minor ways from the pc experience to cope with the pains of using a controller on a game designed for PC mouse/keyboard. there's several places I've noticed thus far where ladders / tight-ropes etc, have been made slightly easier to navigate, and in general I think that effort reflects Valve's efforts to deliver high quality games that are fun.

If you haven't played hl2 before, you're in for a treat. The game goes through highs / lows, exciting parts, puzzles and a bit of a horror movie in between. I thoroughly enjoyed HL2 on the pc, and it's great on the 360.

I'm working my way linearly through the titles in this package, so I still haven't had a look at Portal, or TF2. Which have been pretty highly rated by other users, so all in all I think this is an excellent package for the $$ if you haven't enjoyed HL2 before, and a good package even if you have, fire it up on a home theater in Ravenholm and enjoy!

five for the price of one, you can't go wrong

Excellent for anyone that enjoyed the original HL and never got the sequels. By the way, Portal is an original, funny and brainy game.

Best bang for your buck

The orange box is probably the best value in a gakme that you can get for the xbox 360. Every game on it is fun and portal is spectacular.

The only con that i see is team fortress 2 does not run as well as it could because of player hosted games.

Great game

This is probably one of the best games I've ever played. Though the expansion games are kind of short, they are all still fun. Portal is definitely an interesting twist and Episodes 1 and 2 are excellent in the continuation of the Halflife 2 story line. I look forward to Episode 3, whenever it comes out. Overall I would recommend this to anyone who is interested in games that are creepy (though not scarey) and story driven with excellent game play, puzzle solving and action.

The best written FPS + a fantastic new puzzle game

Half-Life 2 was a worthy successor to the ground-breaking Half-Life. It is looking a little dated now, but that doesn't detract much from the pleasure of playing the mix of puzzles and action combined with a good story that moves things along and some fantastic scenarios such as the zombie-infested ghost-town Ravenholm. The new material of Episode One and Episode Two takes the story on beyond the end of the original game.

The real find here is Portal - an apparently throw-away addition, this is actually a wonderful puzzle game - no weaponry (well, not really!), no enemies, just a series of puzzles using the fantastic physics engine it shares with Half-Life 2. Oh yes - and the wonderfully dark-humour of the voice-over - a computer narrator who talks you through the puzzles with the promise of cake.

This product is the best gaming value I have ever encountered.

A wonderful, amazing, story-driven experience that I heartily advise for owners of the Xbox360.

Great Value for Half-Lifers

If you loved Half Life and Especially Half-Life 2 for XBOX this game lets you play HL2 on the 360 PLUS gives you two new "episodes" following-on immediately after HL2. I was stoked to replay HL2 and the new episodes are very satisfying (again, from the POV of n HL2 lover).

Have not Portal'd or the other dealio yet, as am still enjoying "Episode 2" But if you liked HL2 on the original XBOX, you will want to get this game.

Classic Half-life

Great game. Just like all the other half-life's. Was not impressed with graphics, up-close detail was lacking, most of my 360 games are stunning. Wish there could have been more action. The story line and overall Half-life-ish nature makes up for it. Could not stop playing it.

I bought the Orange Box for the game Portal. It alone is worth the purchase. My only complaint is that it is too short.
