I played as deadpool, my only regret was that he didn't have more dialogue than he did.
But what he did say was funny.

Excellent

This is a great game to buy. It has a lot of cool comic characters and fun, easy to get into combat. It also has rpg elements but not too many. If you have the luxury of having more than one video game console and are trying to decide which system to buy this game for then this is the game! To my knowledge, the xbox 360 version is the only one with the bonus characters. If you don't have the xbox then obviously you won't want to get a new system (unless you are a hardcore Hulk/Venom etc. fan) but if you do why wouldn't you pick the one with the most bang for your buck?

Playing this game is very fun if a bit easy at times for the more hardcore gamer. Here's a test; if you find Gears of war to be not too difficult (and what a strapping gamer you must be) you might find this game to be a joke. You will definitely want to unlock hard as soon as you can. Maybe try not upgrading all your guys outfits. Right now I am playing with Venom, Hulk and Sabretooth and a fourth guy who I swap out from among my roster of heroes. Right now I am crushing people with very little resistance. The only time I got a challenge was when I had to sub out Venom and Hulk(I think they fell off a cliff or something) and I brought in two scrubs to face Blackheart. I actually had a hard time beating him and one of my underdeveloped underleveled guys got beat down. Gasp, a boss fight that was difficult! Anyway, long story short this is a pretty easy game. The one exception was the bonus comic missions. They were hard but only because they often require you to play with heroes that you aren't as familiar with and haven't developed. Mr. Fantastic got beat down so many times it wasn't even funny. Actually, it was a little funny.

I summation this is a fun game that I enjoyed playing through several times. As hinted above I liked playing Venom and the Hulk(the absence of the hulk in the first version of the game was my only gripe with it) but I liked a lot of the other heroes as well. If you were or are a Marvel comic fan then you should be able to find a favorite here. A sheer delight for fans of the classic comics.

GET IT, EVEN IF YOU HAVE THE REG EDITION

The extra 8 characters add a lot to an already stacked lineup of marvel superheroes and to a great story that is fun to play in the various groups of 4 you choose. Its like having spiderman, fantastic four, the hulk, x men games all available at the same time. The RPG elements are enough to make the game fun but not too much where it takes away from the action. Very high replayability as mentioned also because of the numerous teams you can create.

Best Action RPG for the 360

This game has obviously been crafted with the intent of capturing Marvel comic book fans, but do not be fooled, a very solid 4-player Action RPG in the vein of Diablo lies underneath the pretty licensed coat of paint. With tons of skills, unique characters, and a fairly long campaign, this is recommended to any Action RPG fan, especially if you have a few friends that are willing to play along with you.

Hulk Smash!

This game is great. The extra characters in the gold edition are the main reason I bought this game and not the standard edition. The best edition to the new characters is the Hulk. He's the most powerful character available to choose from and he takes way more punishment than any of the other characters can. Adding him alone makes this game worth it, but with the additions of Venom, Magneto and the others this game gets a thumbs up all around.

I bought this game way back in 2007 but i am still playing this. This game got unlimited replayability and I really like the 8 new characters, Including the Hulk. Its really fun when Hulk grabs an enemy use him like baseball bat to K.O. other enemies. Overall I really like this game and I would I highly recommend this game if you were a fan of x-men legends series and like action rpgs.

Well, this upgrade of Marvel Ultimate Alliance is really enjoyable, the graphics and the native resolution on a 50" Plasma Tv makes it an exciting experience. The audio on a kenwood home theater and wireless xbox controls complete the scene.

Making teams of villians and superheroes is cool. I've tried with spidey and venom, wolverine and sabretooth and experience is really cool...

Must have for all Marvel and Comics fans out there!

Fun game with great characters

My husband and I play with game with the help of our 4-year-old. We love being able to change the charaters and checking out their special moves. Sometimes the perspective makes it hard to see what was going on. It can also be difficult to keep track of where your character is when you have more than one player playing. The game provides hints and direction along with way, but not too much to make the game too easy. Overall a very enjoyable game.

Ive played all of the X-Men Legend games and loved those. But for some reason I cannot get into this one. Ive tried playing it about 5 times and get about 20 mins. into it and get so bored I have to turn it off. That and I had a buddy that bought this for PS3 and I even tried playing it with him and we played for about 30 mins. and he said the same thing. I read all the reviews before I bought it and was really pumped up about it and was sadly disapointed. Not enough fighting for my liking. I really dont see what everyone else sees in this game. I really wanted to like this game because im a big Marvel fan. Thankfully I bought this for $10 in the bargain bin. Not worth the time.
