A hilarious hit for the DC

Worms Armagedon, how such a title conceals what a great game this really is. It doesn't have much as far as plot goes, but it makes up for that with up-roarious weapons. You go through this 2-D game as a rag-tag "team" of worms, on a quest to complete what-ever the mission objectives may be, while destroying every other worm that stands in your way. This is a great game to play with friends, and, because of the turn-based game-play, you only need one controler to have a four player game. Giant hammers, explosive sheep, moles, and blow-torches aid you in your quest to eradicate the terrain from every other life form, and, very often, intense thought and strategy are required to beat those "other" worms into pulp.

The Best Game

This game rocks! Not only are the weapons the best, but also the levels. My favorite weapon is the Holy Hand Grenade. I would suggest this game to everyone and everyone who wants a good laugh!

This game is one of the best I have played, the graphics are awesome the weapons are sweet and even the worms themselves are halarious. But, the only reason I did not give this game 5 stars is because it is so H-H HARD!!!! This game can get very frustrating most of the time. (If your'e a hacker don't bother going onto the internet for cheats because there aren't any). This game is very tricky and you lose a lot and losing frequently and 20-second loading periods don't mix.

Worms is one of the best games ever made!

I have been hooked on this game for about 2 or 3 years now-ever since I first played it. It is very fun and takes a long time to beat everything. I recommend this game to everyone. It is a blast, though old women might not like it. Be sure you don't get skunked while playing it.

This game is basically a re-hash of "scorched earth", it being a remake of "artillery".

That said this is the BEST version to date, if you EVER played scorch/artillery, you are gonna LOVE this game!!

This game cracks me up every time I play it! I love it. The game play is good but lack of modes is a turn off. But the few that are there are great. Sometimes game can be frustrating. Double teaming and your player doing stupid stuff is common. All in all I recomend buying it.

Nothing like the smell of gunpowder in the air!

This light-hearted, war-simulator, strategy game deals with Worms packed to the brim with combat abilities and equipment from Dragon Punches (ala Street Fighter II) to Holy Hand Grenades (ala Monty Python and the Holy Grail).

This game allows the player to customize their own teams, from choosing team names and member names to even choosing the voices of the worms, from dialects, like Redneck, to foreign languages, like French. Unfortunately, the voice changes affect all team, and not just each one, but it's still fun to hear different voices whine or taunt.

Many of the missions in the game require time and patience, but the odds are in favor of the computer in this game. While you're struggling to try to aim your weapons precisely, the computer rarely ever has any problem trying to injure or kill you. This game is more fun to play with other players, for a grand total of four teams. There are a few missions that are extremely hard in this game, so remember to save your progress and reload your game often if you wish to get high medals in this game.

The options in the game vary from free play, which starts you right off to just kill the computer's worms, to training sessions with different weapons, customizable scenarios, and last, but not least, the missions. The missions often require you to do more than just kill the PC's worms, from retrieving specific items to just surviving the time limit, so that's where the strategy comes in the most.

The antics of the worms are humorous, but the graphics are very cartoonish, especially the backgrounds and landscapes in the game, which are usually destroyed as you play.

My main problem I had though, is the instruction booklet was vague on the abilities and directions of many weapons, so it took a lot of time to figure out how to utilize them most effectively.

The music is very simple, and after a while it just get's annoying, because it's so repetitive. There were times the game would freeze momentarily as the Dreamcast would load up the next soundtrack, so I found myself just turning off the music instead, replacing it with my own music from a stereo.

It can provide a lot of fun, especially for the younger demographic who isn't looking for any serious storyline! I primarily used it as a party game for friends, since the ability to allow four players to play, while others can be entertained by the antics is quite appealing.
