I've had Pinball Thrillride for several years now and still occasionally come back to it. It has run successfully on several different computers and operating systems as I upgraded, and no problems whatsoever. That said, it did display better on my high resolution flat panel monitor as it was easier to see the game details.

There is only one main table but by winning at the various special rides you get when hitting certain combinations in the game you can then access further "events". The weakest one is where you are whitewater rafting, as I never managed to keep from getting stuck on a rock or to get all the rocks cleared. However the rollercoaster ride is fantastic and I love the fireworks you get when you clear the Night Time Fantasy!

The voices are rather repetitive and where this game really stars is the various special effect moments but it is easy to play compared to some of the other pinball software packages so most players will be able to win high scores.

Pinball + Rollercoasters = Awesome

This game is a very unique approach to the pinball genre. The graphics are crisp, clear, and colorful. The build-your-own-coaster mission was exceptionally fun, where you hit the pinball at different track parts, then after a set number you actually see your coaster in action.

In regards to replayability, well, it's pinball! Play for a high score! However, when compared to other 3-D Ultra Pinball games, such as Creep Night, Thrill Ride is somewhat lacking. Creep Night has 4 different tables to choose from, 3 at the start, whereas Thrill Ride only has one.

Aside from that, this game is a great item, and a must-have for any pinball enthusiast.

Your Pin Ball can even go on roller costers!
There's the Fun Zone Thril Zone and Main Zone!
The Fun Zone can take you to a nother Pin Ball world to play a game, or just put some stuff on the Main Feild.
The Thrill Zone is were you try and put you Pin Ball on a ride the more you get it on, the more points you get!
A hole lot of modes like the Night Time Fantisy and the Rappids mode!

One of the most importint rules of the game is haveing fun!

My families 1st computer pinball experience

Being the only computer pinball experience my sons and I have-its absolutely fantastic. We've spent hours going against each other for the highest score, most thrill points, brass rings, photo shots and bonus multipliers ect...but as we've gotten better, the faster we get that table moving the more it jams up on us and kicks us off in the middle of a game. I guess the high score now is the highest it goes, because anytime we start to pass it--its gone! I thought it was just the cd worn out but after reading other reviews I'm not so sure anymore and am anxious to try something new now instead of replacing this one as orginally planned.

Living near Hershey Park and liking computer pinball, this is a natural. Sierra does a great job with all of their games.

Cheaper than a trip to the park, and just as much fun.

This game is...well just another video game. Nothing like a real pinball game and im sorry but some people that wrote review on this game should try some real paintball simulator like platinum pinball. I would pay about a dollard for this game...maybe less

O.K. .... for about thirty minutes

As a huge fan of pinball and it's subsequent rebirth on the PC, I have played most of the pinball sims listed on this site and enjoyed the experience(for the most part). This is definately one of the better looking ones out there, however, having said that, the way it plays is a bit lamer. After about thirty minutes or so, you've seen 99% of what this game has to offer and you're only on your second ball. Yes, that's right: second ball! Just about the only way to lose a ball is by falling asleep and letting it roll down the length of the flipper. Hitting the rides becomes redundant and stale from sheer simplicity. It stutters every time you do something signifigant and the ball pauses mid-roll, causticlly breaking the illusion of real pinball action. Replay value is just about non-existant. With the high price of the game, I expected a lot more, perhaps too much. This game may be fine for the little ones who only know pinball as "those big machines that keep Mom and Dad busy while we play Mortal Kombat 14", but if a realistic challenge is what you're looking for on your PC, try "KISS Pinball","Sci-Fi Pinball" or "Microsoft Pinball Arcade".
