1. Make sure you have verified your PC can handel the game.
2. Get your updates for your hardware; most recent the better.
3. Character creation is fantastic. Tons of choices.
4. levels 1-5 are pretty close to identical for all characters.
5. levels 6-20 allows the characters to choose some different paths but all lead to a battle with a boss.
6. Read the forums about your specific character. I have found it so much easy to follow in the footsteps of those that have proceeded before me. Look for guides for skill points and feat points as this makes your game play a lot better.
7. 1 tip 1 part is to pick up as many quest you can in the early levels, 2 part try to complete those quest in the different areas of the island at once. Saves tons of time running back and forth from the different areas. Try different characters you can have up to 8. Find a couple you really like and continue on past level 20 and the island of Tortage!

I have been playing the early access for about 3 days now and I have already decided to cancel my subscription and return my pre-order on Age of Conana as soon as it is delivered. Why... you may ask? Here are a few specific things which I really dislike:

- horrible combat system, (I know it is supposed to be so ground breaking but I personally hate it).

- boring and long winded speeches form quest givers, (not to mention the "choose your own answer" aproach which I find really iritating and time consuming).

- completely average graphics, (nothing better than maybe Two Worlds).

- boring and uninspired character classes.

- too much ganking, (yes I know there is a PVE option, but it is already happening in the early access game where gankers will just camp out at resurection sites and whack you as soon as you respawn).

Well, there is probably more I could say but these are the basics. I'm sure some people will love the game, this is just one person's opinion. I'm gonna hold out for Warhammer Online and return this one while I can still get my money back.

I just cancelled my pre-order of this game. Have been (trying) to play this product in beta and it is the most buggy software I've ever seen. In addition, Funcom is providing 0 technical support at this time. I'll wait until the product has more polish if I purchase it at all.

This game is amazing, can't belive it doesn't get more stars. LOL to all you guys that never have played an MMO game before and give this game one star. It's normal to have alot of bugges/problems in the start of a game this big. Have you all forgot how it was to play WOW in the beginning?
It was ALOT of buggs and downtime.
Just give them a some time, the potensial i so big.

This game is the best MMO that has been released for a long long time, maybe the best ever. I can strongly recomend it:)

Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures Collector's Edition

Don't waste your time or money! I expected somes bugs and glitches but this is downright UNPLAYABLE! The bugs - nonfunctional trading posts make an economy impossible. The glitches - constant gray outs on the minimaps and incredible lags on every server I tried (4 - both PVE and PVP)make gameplay difficult!

What really finished it for me was the crashes! Everytime I changed from night to day/ day to night - CRASH! Almost everytime I sold items to a vendor - CRASH! And even sitting there waiting for the lag to catch up so I could continue - CRASH! Not just a simple crash either - 50% of the time I had to reboot my computer!

This is the most awesome game I have ever seen in a long time. I have played many MMO's from Ultima Online, Everquest, to World of Warcraft. This is the BEST. The graphics are rich, the gameplay is awesome and for a new game it is just awesome. I am disappointed with the level of service I received from Amazon.com though. I never got the early play key, when i received the game I was never able to get the early purchase bonus item "the amazon bow". I even received an e-mail from amazon.com that they would not be able to fill my order as they did not have enough in stock. When I complained, "A miracle" I got a copy. Hmmm..fishy.

Amazon has these in stock.!!!

I ordered this 4 days ago hoping maybe they had them, and the next thing i know i get a shipped notice from amazon. W00t!! Great game and a great collectors edition.

I will not be pre-ordering from Amazon again. I don't usually purchase games through Amazon, (they're great for lots of other things), but I decided to grab Conan CE since I do a lot of other business with them. The whole point of pre-ordering this sort of game is to insure you get to be one of the first people playing. Instead all my friends who ran out to Best Buy, Gamestop, whatever are playing and I'm not. Current delay has been bumped up to 6/6 -6/13. The game came out 5/20. I'll stick with the people that know how to sell games next time.

Amazon, you're full of it!

I preordered this in January. When May came around it was kicked out because they failed to send me any warning that it was out of stock. I was able to get on the early access and was happy as could be until Amazon screwed everything up and failed to get me the collector's edition. Now its in stock after I had to shell out some cash to Gamestop for the regular version of the game. You're unbelievable Amazon! How many emails did you send me, all of which said your not getting any copies. WTF! Well I learned my lesson. I'll never preorder or trust Amazon again.
