Best new game of the spring

I rented this game last night and started playing it. my mom walked by my room and asked what movie i was watching because the graphics are awsome. The videos in the game have the best graphics of any game that i have played on nintendo gamecube. The costumes and special effects for each character( including spider-man, green goblin, scropian, shocker, and the vulture) are off the hook and it is amazing how much 3d effects could fit in a 3 inch disk. I'd reccomend buying this game because it has an awsome storyline and the graphics are cool.

First off, do not buy this game. The controls are totally messed up because Spiderman might keep running when you try to make him stop, AND when you are web-swinging, you stick onto any wall you bump into. I'd also like to add that this game is very short. It is only a mere ten levels (four of which are very easy) and a few mini-games which quickly get old. The graphics are a small con, but still affect the game nonetheless. The only place where graphics are good are the movie sequences. Overall, do not get this game, rent it. It isn't worth fifty bucks.

Spidey does it again! And this time for GameCube!

I have long since been a spiderman fan..I have several comics, and a few games, and I really have fun playing this..I loved the movie and it is my favorite..So I got this game. This game even has more in it than the movie such as extra bad guys like: shocker, vulture & scorpion. Excellent gameplay, and I even have no clue when the game ends! It seems like there is a never ending amount of levels! Which is a great feature!
The game starts out when Peter is looking for his uncle Ben's killer. And after he catches him he goes onto different storylines with shocker, then vulture and trying to save MJ (Mary-Jane). It is truly a great game and I do hope you enjoy it...Thankyou for reading...

Rated a 2.5 - The outdoor areas are fun to swing around, very beautiful. However the inside places are different, web-slinging doesn't seem designed for indoors. The fighting makes up a whole lot of the game, unfortunately the fighting is so completely dull and lame. The graphics indoors look like good PS1 visuals. The cinema scenes are absolutely horrid, on PS1 they were ok, here on Gamecube they are inexcusable. Some more work should have been done to improve character models for GC and Xbox. There are more camera issues, it seems, than last time out, there's an option to use C to help out, but it doesn't much. Sometimes Spidey'll be stuck on walls or pillars. Try picking up an item with B and then walking around indoors using C. A lot of the voices are great (Bruce Campbell, Tobey Maguire, Norman Osborn-guy, Scorpion) it's nice to have some of the stars of the film. Bruce Campbell as the in-game host is spectacular. I dislike how much they strived to make Peter Parker's face look more like Mr. Maguire than the character (Sleepy blue eyes??). Characters like the vulture, thugs and Mary Jane are bad, how many times can this game say 'UGLY', or 'FREAK'? There are about 300 one-liners which helps to engage, but I disliked having to hear thugs say the exact same thing all the time. Also, the music is quite repetitive, very much like lame movie sonic wallpaper, sprawling sometimes, ambient at others, very noticeably in the wrong place at the wrong time. Overall, it sounds like Star Wars prequel music, but nothing like Danny Elfman's Spider-Man score. Overall, this is a solid rental especially if you liked the original, but should've been more next-generation and immersive, there could be a Metal Gear Solid 1-style quality Spidey game.

MUST GET!!!!!!

I am a true Spidey fan so I went out and bought this game without question. Little did I know however. The minute I popped this liitle piece in the GC I was greeted with the start up Logo and then followed with a poor into and graphics so poor I almost lost faith to the whole Spider-Man franchise. Although the game is fun regarless of the extremely poor graphics, awful cut-scenes and blurry cinematics it is very fast moving. It is too much fun, but the graphics are a let down. Don't get this if you know whats good for you. Take it from a fan, the X-Box version is way better!

I really wanted to give this game a higher rating, but it did not deserve a higher rating

Spider-Man the Movie game for Game Cube had the potential to be great, but falls short due to the fact that Spiderman is a wimp and a sucka that can be beaten up by a street thug in this game. By the way, I have had to write this review more than once as it seems like my previous review has been accidentally deleted or something of the sort so I am going to keep it short this time. The game follows only parts of the movie and has a few additional supervillians: Shocker, Scorpion, and Vulture. These additional villians are a good thing since they make the game new and refreshing from the movie. Spiderman is one of the best 3D designed models out there and the movie-like cinematics are fantastic. Play this game on Normal difficulty and everything is fine, but play it on Superhero difficulty and it is atrochious. The enemies on Superhero difficulty seem to have a constant lock on Spiderman even when Spiderman is attached to a ceiling way above them and they cannot see him. Plus, three hits or so from an ordinary street thug and Spiderman's health reaches zero. It is a bunch of crap. This matter is only made worse by the fact that Spiderman's combos are much less effective on Superhero difficulty than on Normal difficulty. The camera angles during web-swinging particularly when you have to make tight turns while chasing an enemy are atrocious at times. Spiderman can unlock oodles of three-button combos in this game, but only a few of them are actually effective, especially in the final fight against the Green Goblin. And I found at least one case in which a combo was identical to another combo with completely different buttons and name. I doubt that this crap with identical combos is a gliche that simply occurred on my Spiderman copy that I purchased from Sam Goody for $20. Spiderman has no sort of fighting skills in this game because he is a wimp and a sucka in this game. Spiderman does have some cool abilities though like web-zipping and web tactics such as the web dome and impact webbing. This game was still fun while it lasted, but it also was far from the spectacular game it could have been. By far my favorite Spiderman games are Maximum Carnage and Separation Anxiety on the Sega Genesis. Nintendo, Sega, or whoever should remake these games for the Game Cube as I would be willing to pay $50 or more for these games. However, please do not come out with some port of a Sega Genesis game.

Activision is sloppy joes, not nintendo.

Wow!What a great game! Whoop! I lied. You have been lied to and cheated, they tolded you "this is such a great game". Well thats not true. The game was poorly done,a monkey could do a better job. Its like they hardly stuck anytime on it,like they just threw it out on the market. My advise to you is don't ever buy any Activision games, your lookin to get ripped. This is a really good game for Xbox and PS2 to shine their true colors, boxy. Oh, and another thing Nintendo did not make this game, they just licensed. I'm just telling that to the small minded that couldn't think.

DO NOT BUY!!

This game is not worth buying. If you want a good Spider man game pay the extra money and buy spider man 2. You will be glad you did.
