The weakest in the series, but still good!

Obviously, this isnt as good as Final Fantasy I, IV, VI, VII, or X. The storyline is possibly the weakest in the entire series and the Job system can be a bit frustrating at times. Still, it delivers all the goods that every FF game has: good, memorable characters, beautiful music, and challenging gameplay. I'm very glad to finally see this rare gem on the GBA where it belongs. If you're a hardcore FF fan, then you should definately get it, it is worth it. Now to Square/Enix: HURRY UP AND RELEASE FF6 FOR THE GBA TO!!!

You already knew it was a good game becuase it's Final Fantasy, probably the biggest and most popular series in the history of video games.

This one is probably a little worse than the best Final Fantasy games (such as III and VII) but, despite that, what you have here is a Game Boy Advance RPG that has graphics that actually aren't that bad, and the storyline is pretty good too. You just can't go wrong with Final Fantasy games.

Got bored of this game

I got this game from my brother as a gift. I constantly thought this game would be really good. I enjoyed this for a while. The jobs include many things that other Final Fantasy had. I pretty much like anything else except for the fun. The first part of the game was pretty good. I am currently bored of this game and I probably won't like it for a while. I am a Final fantasy fan and I didn't like this game. Which was very suprising to me. I was disappointed. While this game is better than playing nothing. I still play this game if I have to.

This is the last installment of the Final Fantasy games for the Gameboy Advance. And as far as how good it is, it's Final Fantasy. There should be no worries there.

IF YOU'VE NEVER PLAYED FFV BEFORE, THIS IS A GREAT ROMP THROUGH THE GAME, AS THE GBA EXCLUSIVES ARE A NICE TOUCH, BUT IF YOU'VE PLAYED IT BEFORE DON'T BOTHER, NOT ALOT NEW HERE.

Best of the 2D Final Fantasies

Great game. No other game in the Final Fantasy series gives you so much freedom to develop your characters. Through the job system, you can design each of the characters however you like, and modify on-the-fly. Every game will play a little differently, depending on what jobs you combine. If you like games like Final Fantasy Tactics for the customization, but hate strategy and would rather have a full RPG, look no further.

I loved this game because of the fact that you can easily gain levels as high as 30 in between the beginning and the middle of the game (99 is the limit). I also have FF Anthology and I can notice some differences with these two ports. First of all, Reina's name was changed to Lenna (Reina is FF Anthology's name for the pink haired girl and Lenna is the GBA's name for the pink haired girl), They use pictures of the characters when ever one of the main characters are talking, some of the names of the classes are changed like trainer (FFA's name) to beastmaster (GBA's name), loading times for battles are non-existent (good!) because FFA takes 1-2 seconds to load and same thing with opening up the menu for your character status, X-death's name has an E in front of it so it's EX-Death and some of the spells are renamed too (names are similar to FF8!) so if you are looking for Fire 2 it's called Fira. Despite the differences, I find it good that they have a handheld version of this game so when I go on vacation, I can take it with me (along with my other 2 FF games and some other great SNES-to-GBA RPGs) If you don't have FF Anthology, you don't really need to worry because this game is just as good as the PSone port (dispite the graphical changes).

Making jobs fun.

Final Fantasy V is not my favorite Final Fantasy game, but it certainly is in the running. While it lacks the wonderful, in-depth story and character development of it's successor, it more than makes up for it with arguably the best gameplay in the franchise. Sure, the final villain is possibly the series lamest, but who cares? Building up your abilities via the then-revolutionary take on the job system is an absolute blast.

The only other negatives are the fact that some of the jobs are borderline completely useless. Either way though, the game is well-worth the price of admission. Highly recommended!

Good Follow -up to FFIV!

This game is great fun. I like the ability to change the job function in this game. It gives each character more diveristy and all become stronger quicker this way! The graphics are about the same as FFIV an before but, thats to be expected and thats what I've alwayed loved about these games. I'm 30 years old and this brings me back to when I was younger playin on nintendo 64 and Nintendo.

:two thumbs up:

Some final fantasy people might be annoyed with the graphic but remember when the game was created.

Reasons why to like this game:
1) The story line is great and has twists to them that are cool. All the characters have substance to them.
2) The graphics are hysterical and make you laugh.
3) The traveling is cool.
4) The Jobs are fun to play play mix and this game has more abilities for all characters than any other final fantasy game I played so far. I play X, X-2, XII, VI, I, II,
