This software is really great!

I bought this software (not reading the label well) for my daughter's 2nd birthday. She was too young for it and I did not show it to her then. By the time she was 2 1/2 yrs I installed it on her computer and she immediately got attached to it. She plays at the lowest level, and needs my help to get the correct sequence of events (the longest sequence is Clifford's getting a bath) and of course she cant do it herself yet. But believe it or not, putting the puzzle together, sorting the groceries, getting the correct associations (by digging the ground at the b'day site), rescuing the little dog from the ocean, decorating the cake, bathing Clifford, playing soccer.... she just loves doing those by herself and can spend hours doing so. She is few months short of 3yrs now and still is enamoured by this CD.

Best Game so far...

I've have about 10 computer games for my 2½ year old grand-daughter and out of them all, this is the one she likes the best and begs to play everytime she comes over. She has it mastered on the easy level. She loves looking for the jewels and finding the ladder to save the groomer. Digging in Clifford's back yard to find the matching objects, and putting the groceries back on the shelf that Clifford has knocked over are other favorites. She loves decorating the cake and giving Clifford a bath and will sometimes go back and do it a second time in the same game. She has learned to hit the "ESCAPE" button to quicken the game along and skip all the talking to get playing the games! I like the fact that it is different every time. I would highly recommend this game and think she will be playing it for quite some time.

I bought this CD for my 3.5 year old daughter, and she loved it from the first day. I just gave her the basic instructions to get her started on it and then she wanted to do it independently. Mostly she figured out what to do even before I could! The game starts with Emily Elizabeth planning for Clifford's birthday party for which she must get certain tasks done, like tidying up the yard by matching pairs of objects or icing the birthday cake. Clifford gets into trouble at times and at others he rescues others from trouble. It prompts the child to think logically and develops reasoning power and is great fun at the same time. It lets you learn at your own pace too. More than anything else, I think Clifford is one of the nicer animated character out there that really teaches young children to be kind to others and care about them. The game reflects this attitude too. In fact my daughter has now outgrown Clifford on TV and moved on to Powerpuff Girls but I still love the big red dog!

The only problem with this CD-Rom was that my daughter got so hooked on it that she would play it non stop and beg me to let her keep playing when I tried to stop her as I did not want her to stare at the computer screen for too long. By age 4 she had played it many many times at the hardest level. Even now, at age 4.5 she pulls it out once in a while.

Not- too-great thinking adventure

I recently gave this game to my five year old and am very dissappointed in it. It does not give any verbal instructions that she can understand, so I have had to try to figure out what she is supposed to do, mainly by deciphering the manual. Once we figure out what to do, she seems to get very bored very quickly. Even though the age range says 4-6, I don't see many 5 or 6 year olds being challenged by this game.

Love It

My 3 year old loves this game. I am surprised to find that I love it as well. She is learning to use the mouse, along with the other skills like matching, memory, and creative problem solving. I love the look on her face when she completes a task. It is the best children's game I have purchased.

Our children, 2, 3 & 4, are just getting to know the computer. We've tried a couple different programs and this is by FAR the best. Our 4 year old is enthralled. He loves it, and I don't mind playing with him. The younger kids play it, but not as independently as the oldest. I think this means its a program we'll be playing a year from now. Can't say that about any of the other programs we have.

Daughter enjoys it

My 4 year older daughter loves this game. She is learning and doesn't realize it. The game forces you to think about what needs to be done to complete tasks and has games along the way. Some of the games are just fun and some teach as well.

My grandson (he is 4) and I played this game for hours. It has so many levels and he could play the puzzles over and over because each play is different. It was even fun for me. We have played a lot of games on the PC and this so far is the best. Highly recommend.

Excellent Choice

My four year old daughter really loves this CD. She already was familiar with Clifford from the T.V. show, so I decided to purchase the software for her birthday. Right away it held her interest and now she is on the intermediate level . She sometimes wakes up in the morning with it on her mind, and asks to play "Clifford on the computer". I have to make sure she has enought time to play it before school otherwise it is a fight to leave the computer to go and get ready! I recommend this CD for any parent who has an inquisitive child that likes computer games and enjoys learning and music.

Surprised and very pleased.

This is my very first childs software game. I was quite amazed with it. Our 4 yr had never touched a mouse before, yet she (faked) a cry when she had to stop playing after her first 40 minutes. She needed only occasional help learning the game and of course it's even more fun if your nearby to share her excitment at the many surprises presented.
