This game is pretty hard at first as you may have read from other reviews or experienced first hand in the arcade. You are limited to a certain number of continues and life but the more you play the more you can increase those through unlockable continues and other game modes. It is worth playing though if you are into zombie shoot em ups. Fast paced most of the time, really fun with two players and gun Wiimote attachments. You don't need the nunchuk attachent for anything so just the regular styled zapper is best for this game. My opinion: A definite buy for 20 or less. Don't get frustrated at first, keep playing until you unlock more content.

2 Awsome Games for a Great Price

First of all these two games are really fun especially with friends. Second it's a great deal because if you were to play these games in an arcade it would easily cost you $10 to finish both just once. House of the Dead 2 has N64 graphics and horrible voice-overs but is still really fun to play with friends. House of the Dead 3 has better graphics (not good but decent) and is fun because you get to use shot guns instead of pistols. After beating either you will unlock bonuses. In Hotd2 you unlock boss mode and in Hotd3 you unlock extreme mode. I do agree with other reviews how its annoying not being able to just put some more quarters into the machine when you die (especially after playing them in an arcade because every time you die you think WHERE ARE MY QUARTERS!). Overall this is a must have game for the Wii and goes great with either the zapper or the perfect shot.

Great Fun Especially mulitplayer

Most of my Wii-related purchases are made with the thought of being able to play them with my girlfriend, and this game is great.

I got hooked on House of the Dead a few summers ago in an arcade in Ocean City, MD, and when I saw this for $20, I got it along with a couple of Wii Perfect Shot Guns. My girlfriend and I love it. Some of the other reviews complain about graphics, but honestly, they're fine. My girlfriend and I don't mind the "no-continue" aspect of it, because we get better at it the more times we play.

Great game for the Wii, definitely reccomend it for anybody.

waste of money!

Do yourself a favor and go to your nearest blockbuster store and rent this game! It is not worth buying although it is fun to play it gets boring after awhile because once you die you die! then you have to start all over again! it would have been better if their were some save points I am so glad I rented this game and didn't buy it cause it probably would have been hard to sell

Lots of fun

My husband and I are not gamers, we bought the Wii for family fun with our 13 yr old daughter. We all love this game. Shooting the zombies is a blast, and it's a fun way to spend time together. You can tone down the gore, and the graphics are certainly good enough for what it is. A good way to spend a hot summer afternoon.

Where's the continue button??

I really wanted to enjoy this game. I played this game many times in the arcade and jumped at the chance to purchase this game. The gameplay is very realistic as with most Wii games I've played. It's fun with one or two players...for the first 10 times.

After that, you get frustrated by the fact you have to restart your games from the beginning every time. And since I don't have the ability to play every day, I seem to be stuck in the first couple levels.

Give us regular folks that just enjoy just a few hours a week of video games a chance to play an interesting game.

Good game overall

This is a great game for fans of the arcade version. When played with the Wii Perfect Shot gun, it simulates being in an arcade again. One of the bonuses of the game (arcade mode) is you can advance your skill because the game doesn't just end if you die once...you are allowed multiple tries before the game really ends.
