Don't Get Caught Up In The Movie Hype ... Save Your Money

I had played the XBox 360 demo for Kung Fu Panda and really liked it -- graphics were movie-like, controls solid, gameplay pretty average but great for the family. I thought my kids would enjoy it on the Wii. Big mistake. The Wii version is simply hideous in comparison. Graphics on the Wii are pixelated and there is a lot of screen tearing. It literally looks like a PlayStation 1 game. There are Virtual Console titles with cleaner looks. It hurts to look at a game with graphics this bad. The implementation of motion controls was poorly done and adds no enjoyment to gameplay. Response to motion controls is sluggish -- not a big problem when randomly throwing an item, but very disruptive to gameplay when trying to do a power attack. Cutscenes and audio are very sloppy compared to the XBox 360 demo. This is a poorly developed game that simply serves to prey on sucker parents like myself trying to get something fun for my kids heading into summer break. It's long been known that video games based on movies are often lackluster. After playing the XBox 360 demo I thought this game would be different. Maybe the XBox 360 version turned out good. The Wii version is horrible.

I order this Kung Fu Panda for my grandson's birthday and he never got it. I was told I would have to wait because it may have got routed incorrectly. Poor customer service from the company. Amazon however got me the refund.

I expected better graphics fro the price.

As mentioned by another review, I was disappointed with the graphics of this game especially given how much we paid for this.
The graphics seems more on the line of $20 games not $50 games.
I have only played the multiplayer mode with my 8 yo DS a few times and we did enjoy ourselves. The controls seemed a little sloppy, not very easy to "fine tune".
My son is enjoying playing the story mode. I have not watched it too much but it did seem a bit better graphic wise then the multiplayer mode.

Bugs

The game is ok. Not bad, not great. Encountered some bugs while playing. Once, Po was trapped underground. Cannot jump, cannot move, cannot see anything except himself, cannot do anything except moving the camera. Once, I saw a turtle floating in the sky. The more annoying bugs are the save & load functions. Some times what you load is very different from what you saved.

Dunno....

This game was too easy even given the fact that when it shows you that you need to swing the Wii-mote upward it doesn't always register. I thought at first it might be that I wasn't in range of the Wiis sensor bar but nope, not the problem. I did have fun playing this game but I managed to finish the entire thing in three days! The graphics were okay on my game but I haven't yet played in multi-player mode and don't plan on it seeing as I have two other games I bought for my Wii. Overall, this game was most definitely not worth the $50 I paid for it.

My grandkids like it somewhat

My grandkids like it ok but not near as much as the Ben 10 or Mario Bros. games

Enjoyable game

To be honest I liked this game more than I thought I would. I liked it a lot! It incorporated much of the humor of the movie which was a plus. It used the features of the wiimote & knunchuk very well - balancing, doing throws, special moves.....
The only bad thing I can say is there's no multi-player 'journey' mode, only multi-player combat. That said I would still recommend it.

Not the best but still fun especially for younger ones.

I have seen and played better games but this was ok and is perfectly fine for younger children. Older children would probably get tired of it pretty soon.

So Awesome

I just rented this game and it's really good. It wasn't hard to control that much. It was cool the way you got to use the Wii remote to do kung fu moves, that helped me get a muscle on my right arm. You could also could move the camera like you could in Super Mario Galaxy and the Simpsons game, that sort of helped me get through levels even though I didn't need it much. If your used to playing Wii games that require the nunchuk, then you will totally get how you play it at the first second you start playing.

Pretty fun!

Fun to play but a number of moves needs learning for an old guy like me. Story line is quite good and has somewhat the same humor as found in the movie. I have yet to explore the whole game and unravel the complicated trick moves.
