This game [edit]. It is impossible to control. The cars look like mini-vans. Pretty background though.

Well, as you can see, I'm in the minority. Maybe I had built it up so much in my mind that when I finally played it (rented, thank the lord) I was set up for a fall. But I doubt that. I know what the Game Boy Advance can and can't sdo, and what this game failed at was well within the capabilities of the GBA. Firstly, let me say that, yes, the password thing was a Huge pain. 16 characters long, consisting of numbers, symbols, lower case letters and uppercase letters. For every part or car gained. Huge pain. But, of the things wrong, this was the least bothersome for me.

The graphics aren't that great. They just aren't. In the Select-a-car screne the Mode 7 rotation works just fine. Why is it so choppy and uneven during the game? And the track, tho it rotates nicely, has all of these hidden barriers on the side.

But what really bothered me is that the parts you aquire only affect your car positively. There is no trade off. This takes any strategy out of building your car, and makes the game more like Pokemon, where you simply collect all of the good parts, and whoever has the most parts has the best car. There is no creativity involved in stocking your car like there is in Gran Tourismo.

OK, that's my rant. I wanted to like this game so much, but I just can't recoment it. Also, you start out with and unlock all of these cars, but almost none of them are worth racing. Why unlock them?

OK, now I'm really done. Good luck and good gaming

The BEST portable racer ever. This game is better than Ridge Racer V on the PS2. The only racing games I like better are the Gran Tourismo series games. Don't bother wasting time with Top Gear, go straight to GT Advance. The difficulty level of the game is so finely tuned that you will always make some progress. Each tune up you earn will help you unlock tracks and cars, keeping the play challenging for a long time. Great response to the controls makes this racer FUN!

Absolutly Outstanding!!!

My friend JC is writing this review, as he is the owner of this GAME (I'm gonna buy it soon):

The graphics are unbelieveable. The sound is great given that it is on a hand-held. I don't understand why the other reveiwers think that this is a crummy game. The obviously don't have good taste.

There are forty eight cars to pick from (you must unlock 34 though). You can unlock special modes with Formula 1 cars and mini cars (the mini-cars look like Mario Kart cars). The other cars look awsome, with many differant styles to choose from.

You simply MUST buy this game. I give it a 5.5 star rating!!

The graphics on this cartridge will make your jaw drop and it's just a first generation advance title the graphics are so well done it even has NIGHT TRACKS!!!! The controls are simple to master and follow the Gran Tourismo theme of building up cars and skills. An overload of tracks and cars also add to the game. Buy it play it and don't overlook it at the stores because you will be the one missing out-I already have my copy.

One Of the greatest Game Boy Advance Games you can buy!

From The Minute I got The Game My Adrenaline was growing! When I opened the box 2 find the small game inside i knew it wuz one of the best games on game boy advance. When you start the game it is very easy 2 figure out. When I started My First Race the first thing i noticed was the graphics! they were very close to the graphics on Playstation Almost Exact! If You decide 2 buy any Game Boy Advance Game Make This Your First Buy!
