This game is HORRIBLE. There's a little arrow that is supposed to tell you where to go. The arrow is so small you can barely see it!

This game was a sorry disappointment for Game Boy Advanced. But yes, this sucker will be better once it comes out on Ps2 because the graphics will be better and gameplay easier. Just be patient, Bond fans!

The Best Bond for GBA

True, there is not much competition, but 007: Everything or Nothing is the best 007 game for the Game Boy. In his latest mission, Bond must track a madman (portayed by Willem Dafoe) who's goal is world domination (gee, imagine that). Prodigy of the late Max Zorin (who appeared in A View to A Kill) and an ex-KGB agent, Nikolai Diavolo has stolen a nanobot project and is equipping an army of nanobot-covered soliers. The nanobots eat metal so quickly, they can eat incoming gunfire before they touch the soldier.
And if you thought the invisible car from "Die Another Day" was rediculous, Diavolo has also developed a cloaking device which temporarily makes his soldiers invisible.
The game is played from a third-person perspective, like the future console versions. The controls are basic (A to shoot, B for punches, stealth attacks, and actions) and easy to learn. There are also parts of missions where you will have to sit behind the wheel of your Aston Martin Vanquish (minus the invisibility capability) fully-equipped with machine guns, rockets, and oil slicks. The rocket aiming is a tad bit disappointing and difficult to hit smaller targets.
Unlike some previous games, Everything or Nothing encourages you to use stealth versus going in with guns ablazing. When you take out someone using stealth, you get points that you can spend in the Q-Lab to buy things that increase your speed, aiming, body armor, and the effectiveness of your bullets. Other items include medkits and nanobots that recharge your life after time.
The graphics are excellent, though some characters, like Q, don't look like themselves. Other than that, the death animations and explosions look about as good as they can get on the Game Boy Advance.
The sound is equally excellent. In the credits, even, Mya's song has been transferred to the portable cartridge and can be heard clearly. Gunshots sound like gunshots as opposed to "blips" that have occured in past games (in general).

However, this game's downfall is the relatively short life of it. It took me an afternoon to complete the missions and then another to get all the power-ups from the Q-Lab. The difficulty level can be changed to "Hard" and thus increases the lasting appeal a little, but not by much. If you feel you can shoot through these sorts of games in a day, perhaps you'd be better off renting it.
Otherwise, it is fun to obtain the maximum number of points. There's even a blackjack mini-game you can unlock after getting 2500 points.
All in all, Bond has successfully made his mark on the Game Boy.

very fun!! but.

this game gets 5stars because its interesting and better than nightfire which sucks (you cant aim, messed up graphics).the bad part of everything or nothing is that you only get three guns, theres only eight levels which are very easy(i beat it in three days)and there are gadgets you dont ever use.if you want an easy game thats cool and easy to control buy this one. p.s. if you get a certian amount of points you unlock a very fun blackjack minigame.

A chance to be Bond again!

This game has an awesome premise and some great things going for it (Pierce Brosnan being Bond in a third-person shooter, Shannon Elizabeth as a Bond girl, etc). The game itself falls just a little short. Since Max Payne came out, we know that GBA games can indeed allow for long voiceovers beyond the "Good work, 007!" and "Get on with it, Bond"--especially since there are no cinematics in this game whatsoever. Oh, and even though Pierce signed into this game and his face is seen throughout, his voice is absent for the most part. And you have to spend your style points almost immediately on speed for Bond, as he starts off the game walking at about the pace of a 90 year old man! Another problem is the "stealth kills" the game wants you to make--but then you can't see the guards until they're almost on top of you! The graphics are reasonably nice though. All in all, this is a fun game for the most part. I'm just looking forward to seeing it on the PS2. Hopefully it will be greatly improved.

Far better than Nightfire, but still rift with problems.

Considering how awful 007: Nightfire was, it doesn't take much for 007: Everything or Nothing to surpass our expectations. That still doesn't mean it's a great game, but at least it's pretty playable and would not cause you to sell the game at a junk yard after a day of playing.

Electronic Arts wisely chose a 3rd-person view this time. Game Boy Advance is simply not powerful enough a system to handle the intricate aiming of real-time first-person shooters, and the reconception of this game as a stealth/strategy/action game suits the 007 franchise well. However, the stealth element is very hard to execute, because your agent's visibility is about the equivalent of 20 feet, and where there is a radar, it has about the same range as your eyes! Inexcusable. You can use manual aim to look farther, but the move is so slow that I gave it up after a couple of tries. The weapons aiming system is poor, forcing you to run towards your enemy in order to auto-aim. Manual aiming, as mentioned, is very slow, so forget about using it practically. Worse still, stealth games like Metal Gear Solid and Syphon Filter expect you to need multiple replays to pass a mission, but 007: Everything or Nothing makes you have to wait through most of the "cut scenes" before your game can restart. This is very bad. After the eighth time I see a cut scene, what's the interest? EA made a gross error by not allowing you to quickly skip these portions, making replays excessively troublesome.

The graphics are only passable. You can see your agent relatively well, but enemies often blend into the background thanks to pixellated graphics and too much of an attempt to make everything look realistic. If they'd given up some shadowing and detailing, they could have improved visibility greatly.

There *is* more of a link to the Bond films this time. Pierce Brosnan looks like Pierce Brosnan, Judi Dench and John Cleese provide bits of voice work, and you do get modelled versions of cyber-Bond girls in supermodel Heidi Klum and singer Mya. But no Shannon Elizabeth -- boo!

Nagging problems with the stealth system and the slow cut scenes make this game far from perfect. It's an acceptably enjoyable espionage game as far as the genre goes, but EA has once again disappointed by producing a mechanically below-par game, for the company's standards.

The gadgets r amazing, as they automaticlly work. however, there were only 3 gunz. An MP5, MAC10, and a pistol. also on the cover it says 20 levels, and theres only 8.

decent, but very short

This game is fairly fun to play while it lasts, but that ain't long. I spent between two to three hours playing the game and then it was over. Certainly not worth $30.00. I bought the game today and am trading it in tomorrow.
