The already famous cat like thing is about to have his game boy advance debut. In his PS and PS2 games, he has won many fans, and now it is GBA's turn. As Klonoa travels through the world where dreams are forbidden, he must save many towns and vanish mystical monsters. When he comes to the end of this game, the dreamless people of this world will finally get to sleep. Some of the levels in this game are full of action, while others are filled with puzzles and other problems. The total number of levels in this game are more than 40.

This game should turn some heads with graphics and sound, but what is great is the nonstop action of Klonoa games. It is also made by Namco, the company that creates Pacman and other puzzle games. It should be a hit for GBA as soon as it hits the shelves.

Klonoa is a really good game.....for those who have no idea what it is about,read carefully. In the game, Klonoa is transported to a world that is devoid of dreams. Klonoa must defeat four mystical monsters to give back the ability to dream to the people of this world. Adventures of Klonoa will take him through a world where dreams are forbidden.This world includes four major towns, and Klonoa must vanquish four mystical monsters and restore the ability to dream to the sleep-deprived people of the world. The side-scrolling gameplay is a mix of action and puzzle elements--some levels are more action-oriented, while others require players to solve a wide array of puzzles. There will be a total of more than 40 levels in the game. Naturally, Klonoa's general moves, which are intrinsic to the series, will be available in Klonoa for the GBA.The graphics should be good also,and overall the game should be a huge hit!

This game kills me. Not because of how bad it is, but because of how GOOD it COULD have been. The original Klonoa had that special something that made me want to play it over and over, even though the game took only a scant few hours to complete. Maybe it was the pseudo 3-D look of the levels, the addictive gameplay, the character.. whatever it was, it was addictive, and fun.
Klonoa: Empire of Dreams lacks a lot of these, as well as being a painfully short game. Don't let the '40+ levels' fool you. 5 of those levels are nothing more than a simple boss screen, and to get to the boss in each of the five worlds, you can skip 2 of the stages over in each world. They've messed with the simplicity of the original, which involved jumping and throwing in different patterns to take you to where you needed to go, with limited puzzle solving. It kept thing going at a nice clip. This game is nearly all puzzle solving, with a couple of 'action' stages which are so easy it's laughable.
This wouldn't even be so much of a complaint if there were just MORE of them. Didn't they think there would be a problem of people turning the game inside out in three hours tops?
I loved Klonoa, it's just a shame this game didn't live up to it. The graphics are nice, sound is okay, but who cares when it's over so fast? At least Mario had the multiplayer aspect.
Rent this one, spend the 35 bucks you have left to get Advance Wars, you'll be happier.

Wow. I was really impressed. I've played these games on the PSX and was pretty happy with them, but since those were on a 'high powered' system, I had always expected more. Well, Klonoa on the GBA is awesome. The graphics are high quality, very colorful and the game is a lot of fun to play. His voice coming out of the little speaker sounds cute, and over headphones sounds pretty sweet. The music isn't to annoying, puzzles aren't super difficult, I'd say overall if your into side scrollers and you have a GBA, this is one of those games that you'd be proud of showing off the system with. I like it.

I must say that I accidently fell into this one. I rented Klonoa 2 for Playstation 2 and well fell in love with it, I bought the GBA version because of that. I recommened this game to all who enjoy cute anime art that has nothing to do with Pokemon.

I have had the pleasure to have played and beaten every Klonoa game released in the US. A wonderful story with awesome graphics. Though at first an adventure game, it is at heart a puzzle game that is a bit tough in the later stages. I wouldnt pass this game up for anything. So go play, Lado? (ok?)

-----This review is written by an adult who loves game boy. Klonoa is a terrific long lasting game. There are 5 worlds with seven levels and a boss in each.
-----As most games, it starts out easy and becomes very difficult and tricky in the last world. The goal of each level is to find 3 stars and get to the exit to open the next level. There are also a given number of dream stones to collect which give you an added life. You must use the enemies and objects (different kinds of boxes, switches, keys to open doors, springs etc. ) to aid you in jumping, bouncing, exploding boxes, and flying to obtain the stars.
-----Five of the 7 levels are puzzles where you have to figure out how to get to the stars. Level 4 and 5 are scrolling levels. Level 4 is skiing and jumping, and level 6 is scrolling and using enemies and objects.
-----This game automatically saves, and when you die, you start right where you left off. If you need extra lives, you can go to the skiing level and collect two each time you play it. You can also go back to any level or world that you have completed to find all of the dream stones. The game is not timed and you can retry without losing a life.
-----I highly recommend this game and feel that it is long playing and well worth the money.

Good show for platforming...

Klonoa is aimed at those who like puzzle and platforming games. You play as the weird-eared hero who must rescue a kingdom in which dreaming is forbidden.
The better side of things, the graphics and sound are fitting for the gameplay. Simple, fun, bright. The gamplay is easy to understand and somewhat simplistic, but the levels become fairly challenging as the game advances. There are three "types" of stages, exploration/puzzle, scrolling, and a fun hoverboard challenge in each of the multiple areas. This variety is the best part about the cartridge.
On the down side of things, the bosses are fairly easy to beat, and although each may be uniquely designed, the weak bosses make the game feel like child's play. In addition, the plot is simplistic and really does not add much to the game.
For a gameboy advance game, this is a good showing, especially considering it is one of the bigger games closely following the launch of the gba, but it will not hold your attention for long as the game itself is short.

Klonoa,and the empire of dreams is sooooo fun! I loved it! I make my stories that way.It is cool. So, if I was a manager at Wal-Mart,I'd have everything Klonoa!If you hear from another person that hates this game, don't listen!And so what if I'm a girl,all I'm saying is get the game! It is cool, and it makes you put on your thinking cap.This is sad that people don't like him,if you're a Klonoa fan,show it!In my room there is,100 pictures! I also have paper dolls, since I can't have my own.So talk to an expert on Klonoa!If you follow my advice,you'll also love it for sure! Klonoa is da BEST!!!!!So if you like Japanese cuties, this is a must for your wishlist!(I vote it 10)

This was my second game for the GBA, and I loved it! I was merely only eight years old, but the game was absolutly wonderful! I am now a huge fan of the Klonoa series. They are the best games I have ever played in my life! I am using this review also as a compliment to the wonderful creators of this game, Namco. Please Namco do keep making more Klonoa games. Platform game buffs all over our United Nation are counting on you, and the rest of your great company.
