This game doesn't have any special features, and it is not very fun. it seems to be based on the SuperNintendo version of Madden, and that seems underpar for a 32 bit system.

The Greatest Game Ever!!!!

I was always of fan of Madden game from the first version to the 2002 version. This game stands out for portable systems. The graphics are awesome and the gameplay is perfectly transfered to the gba. The only thing wrong is there is no 2 player mode but this is the first version for gba so I'll wait till next year.

sweet game

This game is awsome. The grafics are pretty good. game play is good. The career mode is sweet and you can be any team in the NFL and a all-madden team. the music and croud are anoying but other than that it is a sweet game.

yikyikykiiuk-my reaction when I first picked up this game.

Madden football does not translate well on such a small screen. Graphics look more like the older Madden games from the 16 bit SNES era. The players are too big and the screen seems over crowded. It's nearly impossible to find holes for running backs to exploit with 22 players jammed onto such a small screen at one time. And incomplete passes look as if they are hovering in the air just waiting to be picked off. On the plus side, the sound and voice effects are decent and all 32 teams including the expansion "Houston Texans" are there, with updated rosters and playbooks, plus the usual "All Madden" teams. Madden 2002 is not a bad game by any means and is pretty fun to play, but it's not a classic that I've come to love this series by either! Maybe 2003!
