Get Zoo Tycoon 2 instead

Instead of getting this $20 expansion pack, why not for the same price get a game with alot more [animal] content- Zoo Tycoon 2? (I'm sick of all these stupid expansion packs! The stuff included in this pack should of been included in the base game!)

May have been added with Soaked

After getting RCT 3, RCT 3 Soaked, and now RCT3 Wild, there is some dissapointment with this expansion pack. Good news is that there are many things to upgrade your park for in this expansion pack. The main theme is animals and this expansion pack allows you to create a Busch Gardens type park. You can add all types of animals like giraffes, rhinos, pandas, and more. You can even create lion shows as well. Plus there are many new rides like a safari transport vechicle and a safari train to allow people to visit your animal displays. There are also around 20 other new rides including new prototype coasters, carival rides, and now a steamboat transport vechicle.

However, I don't think that these expansion pack works well on its own. There are just too little new features that is worth it in the price. This pack should have been combined with the Soaked expansion pack.

If you are a fan of RCT 3, then getting this pack shouldn't be an issue, however if you can buy only one of the expansion packs, get soaked since it addresses many issues that needed to be brought up in the orginal RCT 3 game. This pack has very little content to add to the orginal game.

You can make animal enclosures but after a while they start breaking down and then you have to dart all the animals which can be very tiring. There are some very cool new rollercoasters and some new thrill rides. There is a sandbox mode that allows you to play with an unlimited amount of money. You can make animal/ marine shows. The graphics and sound effects are great. Cole

Fun at first

I was looking online one day and i found out a new expantion was coming out for rct3. I got very excited because i already have played rct3 soaked a million times. AS soon as got it, I installed it as quickly as i could and played for six hours striat. The next week, i popped in the disk aftr playing the game a lot to find out that it was getting boaring after a week! I found my self not making animals and animal shelters but building rollercoasters and pools.

I would say to not get this game unless you are a hard-core rct3 gammer like me. I loved it because of the new coasters and not the animals. So buy this game if you are looking for more features and rollercoasters but if your buying it for the animals, DONT BUY IT!

A Great Expansion Pack.

In the Original RCT3, there was no waterpark option and you could not build tunnels.

In the Soaked! Expansion pack, both of these additions were realized, but the tunneling had limitations that made it almost unbearable.

Finally, the Wild! Expansion pack comes along and creates a well-rounded video game that is both enjoyable and easy to use. The tunneling this time is automatic and is virtually void of drawbacks. The ability to now add animal exhibits to your park is great, and the new Challenges that come along with that are great. The best part of this expansion pack however, is the wide variety of new flat rides and the new scenery options. Both of these should've been included in the original version, but for some reason (probably money-making related) they were not. Regardless, the game now features flat rides such as the S&S Skyswatter and a handful of new coaster types. Unfortunately, the coastrs aren't real types of rollercoasters, but protoypes based off of "actual designs." Some of them are very cool, but they are often difficult to get the hang of because they are all different from the typical coaster layout. After a while though, you should adapt and enjoy these additions. I am with the other reviewer on this one, 2 expansion packs seem a little too much especially when they are priced so high and packed with such little content. However, if you have some money to spend and you are a fan of the series, plop some down on this item. You will undoubtedly find something to enjoy about it.

It was great in Beta!

I played this game when it was in Beta. It adds a bunch of Flat Rides to the game which is awesome. It adds some new coaster types too. It makes the experience a little better. The animals are a really cool edition to the game. For all of us east coasters, if you want to make a Six Flags: Great Adventure Recreation, almost exactly, this game will work for you.

Another worthwhile addition to the series

I was a little skeptical of the Wild! Expansion pack at first, but after the price lowered, I finally found time to buy and play the newest addition to Roller Coaster Tycoon 3. The idea is to now integrate, instead of water rides, wild animals into parks. Peeps pay to walk on 'viewing galleries' to get a good look at your wildlife. Choices range from Polar Bears to Ostriches to Gorillas and much in between.

The parks now look noticeably different than before. Many of the objectives are unfamiliar, such as making a certain profit off an animal, or obtaining a certain number of an animal. Although this is all new, it flows well with the RCT3 game and feels very comfortable after just a few quick scenarios.

The scenarios feature a wide variety of theming and landscapes, including the two new styles of scenery, prehistoric, and safari. The new scenery items include giant dinosaurs, and swooping safari trees. Both are great additions to the animal enclosures. The gameplay seems much simpler on Wild! than the previous two RCT3 titles. Most of the levels are not very challenging, although they do (for the most part) take a few hours to complete (if not longer). I cannot say they aren't a lot of fun, though. Once the animals begin breeding, the galleries can become hugely profitable, and it goes uphill for the coaster enthusiast from there.

Finally, as with Soaked!, Wild! has improved the tunnel feature again (and thank goodness!). Tunneling roller coasters as well as footpaths is as easy as it was in the original games, if not easier. Roller coasters can be built into hills automatically, and underground footpaths are rarely challenging. This adds a lot of functionality to park design, and works great with the animal enclosures since paths can tunnel below them, popping up in the middle to host viewing galleries.

I am pleased again with the newest RCT3 expansion. They have really turned RCT3 into a great looking and functional game that is easy to pick up and enjoy with hardly any frustration or problems. If you already have the first two parts of the RCT3 series, don't hesitate to pick this one up as well.

I love Wild!!!!! This expansion pack not only gives you extra roller coasters, scenery, rides and what not. It lets you put animals in the park! This is an awesome feature and gives you the tools to make parks that you never thought were possible. I have been waiting for them to come out with this expansion pack ever since Roller Coaster Tycoon 1 was released when I was 7!!

The game also comes with a slew of new levels and great features such as the ability to create water and laser shows. (I personally Lovvve the laser shows). You can also create your own lion and tiger shows (Yeah that's right just like Zoo Tycoon).

My favorite expansion is the animals. Just as in Zoo Tycoon, you have to create cages for them (If you don't, you have to go out and shoot them with a tranquilizer gun yourself) If you abuse your animals, a helicopter will come and take them away. You can also create rides going through the cages such as the safari jeeps. You can see through the animal's eyes just like the coaster cam, but this is the animal cam.(You can even see the animals go poop lol!!.) Buy it now!

Good Game, Bad Installation

I had originally installed RCT3 on my computer a year ago, and followed the instructions for getting the latest updates. The game was a blast (I'm a fan of RCT1 and 2), and so I thought it time to get the expansions. I installed Soaked and Wild (in that order), and suddently the game wouldn't work anymore! I got an error that I had installed things in the wrong order (which is not true), and it sent me back to the Wild installation disk to no avail. I tried downloading and installing patches from Atari, but things just got worse. As a last resort, I uninstalled EVERYTHING, and reinstalled from scratch RCT3, then Soaked, then Wild. Now it all works fine (my save games are still there!), and the game is great once again!

I think the reason I had trouble, is that I "updated" my RCT3 BEFORE installing the expansions, and that messes everything up. I just wish Atari would have handled this situation better. I definitely recommend the expansions (tons of cool stuff!), just keep in mind you may have to do a full reinstall to get them to work.

Awesome
