Pokemon Ruby & Saphire - A Classic Revamp

Nintendo has produced some of the greatest games in history. Pokemon has always been one of the great Nintendo franchises and Pokemon Ruby & Saphire is no exception. The only problem, it may be too little too late. Everyone knows how popular Gold and Silver were in their day, and everyone was sure Ruby & Saphire would only improbe on those fantastic features. Many buyers (including me) were shocked on the day of release that some of the features in Gold and Silver weren't even hinted in Ruby & Saphire. The groundbreaking time and day feature that allowed players to set a clock to the time of day and weekday so players could interact with day specific events and special time of day Pokemon including different setting looks for different times of day or night was not carried over to the new games. Sure you set a clock, but it doesn't do anything and can't be changed for daylight savings time. Also, there is no backward compatibility for old games with trading and battling. Also, the old lands such as Jhoto and Kanto aren't featured in the game either.

But, even despite the new games' lack of features, it does have some upsides. The game introduces 100 new pokemon, though you also can't capture some of the old ones, and 350 are alot to keep track of. The game has slightly better graphics, and a girl character. The game also has compatibility with the Nintendo e-Reader though it does require a cord and an additional GBA. The game also has some new bells and whisles such as Pokemon Contest, a sort of beauty contest in some sense. Also, the game has 2 on 2 battles and the ability to create a secret hideout (a sort of 2nd room) some mountains and trees. Other than that, the game is the same Pokemon we all know and love. I rate it: ***! Three stars! I reccomend Pokemon Ruby & Saphire to anyone who wnats something fun to do. Oh. One more thing. Isn't it strange that the Second Gulf War in Iraq started the day after the games were released. Interesting. This is Kidmedia.

It is awsome Berry Blending 2on2 battles Contest (kina like beuty) but w/ diff catagoreys. It is great the story line every tthing secret bases. I recomend this if u like pokemon games & never tried these.

The Greatest Game Ever!

This is the best game ever! If anyone says it stinks, it doesn't! The game has okay graphics but the plot of the game is fantastic! You can also trade pokemon and battle other people (with the help of a link cable or wirless adapter and an extra game catridge). But, the bummer is that you can't trade with the older versions. Only Sapphire Version, Ruby Version, Green Leaf Version, and Fire Red Version, but the game is still good! You don't have to be a fan of Pokemon to like this game. I LOVE this game and I think you will too! THIS GAME IS THE BEST!

I like this game a whole lot. Ever since I recieved it on christmas I've tried to beat this game and so far I'm close to winning the game. Now there are two things I don't like the game. First, that pokemon Kyogre that thing is hard to capture. Why doesn't anything work? I've tried everything I could catching it first, weaking it and catch 'em and use the poke' balls that should've given me an advantage.Now about the master ball whats the deal? Why do you have get all matches for your ID just to the ball? Can't you just get it from someone like Steven? You fix the game using my requests and you'll get more customers in no time.

This game is what anybody would ever want in a game. Action, advention, battle, and others, will be in this game. In the game, you start out as a boy or girl and you visit your neighbors in your new neighborhood. He is a boy or girl depending on who you are. Soon, you will receive a pokemon(Treeko, Mudkip, or Torchic), and after you receive a pokedex, which records the pokemon you see and catch, you will visit different towns, battle different trainers, and capture different exotic and rare pokemon. You can also go into pokemon contests if you get a Contest Pass from the contest center in Verdanturf Town. There is cute, cool, beauty, smart, ect. Each of your pokemon's moves has a different describing words(cute, cool, ect.). It can be very addicting and fun. Don't worry, even though the price might be a little high, it's worth it! BUY THIS

Pokemon Sapphire is by far the greatest Pokemon game for the Gameboy Advance! Some of the better features are these.

New 2 on 2 battles.

Updated pokedex with never before seen Pokemon.

Much better graphics than the Pokemon Gold, Silver, Yellow, etc.

Different challenges that can sometimes be hard.

New Battle Tower enables you to battle with different trainers.

Some of the bad things are.

Some parts of the games can be a bit challenging.

Pokemon games have never been that challenging in the other ones basically all you do is get a pokemon train and capture other pokemon make them stronger win gym battles and win the pokemon league
NOT THIS TIME!
In pokemon sapphire and Ruby their is so much more to do their is either team magma or aqua to stop and you have to help the weather institute who will then give you a castform get fossils from a desert defeat a really tough pokemon league collect some rocks and a beldum from Steven and still more so if you liked the previous pokemon games you'll love this one not only does it have more things to do but you can start off with any of the adorable pokemon treecko mudkip or torchic which all evolve into strong pokemon

HINTS: mudkip and treecko are easiest to use on the first gym but torchic when fully evolved is stronger then sceptile or swampert kind of like charizard venasaur and blastoise or typlosion, feraligator, and megainium

I picked this game first when it came out with Ruby since Sapphire is my birthstone! I love it! I am a Pokemon fanatic and collect all the games. This was a step in the right direction to keeping my interest moving!

Sapphire version is the same as ruby version.But you can't get some pokemon in each game's.It's far by better then the previous version.Graphics have improved,New pokemon contest's,2on2pokemon battle's,Pokemon ability's,Weather details,New HM and TM and more...The thing is with this game is that you can't trade with the previous pokemon game's.BUT!You can with Fire Red and Leaf Green versions.The other thing is that after the Pokemon league you can't do much stuff but there are somethings too do like: Battle Tower,The legendary's,Finish you'r pokedex,finish you're national pokedex,the contest's stuff like that but noo more big challenge's.These are the maximum cons i can think of but there are lot's and lot's of pros.The game is better then the previous versions.Have superb graphics for gba/sp,and more.

My grandson was so happy to get this as his first one had been taken away at school and now he knows the importance of keeping them at home.
