I purchased this game for my daughter. She requested it as a reward from Handipoints (the chore website). She really likes this game.

So addictive!!!

I know this is a little embarassing: I'm a 43 year old Mom and I had bought the game for my daughter (11), who played it for a while, but then grew tired of it. So on one of those long boring winter afternoons, I borrowed the game from her....and I've been playing it for weeks now, and just can't let go!!! I never really got into the original Pokemon games, but from what I saw, I always thought they were pretty good and kept my daughter playing for quite a long time.So I can only talk about Mytery Dungeon here: I guess as an adult I get more, or different things out of Mytery Dungeon than a kid, like planning what items to take on a mission (that's what Moms do, right? lol) or picking out the right team members or teaching them the best combination of attacks, and then, if you have a young and promising new team member, it's training, training, training to get them prepared for the big dangerous dungeons... That can get boring at times, but it's necessary (Mom talk...) So, I highly recommemd this game for kids of ALL ages over 7 or 8, it's fun and it also has some educational value (don't tell your kids - they may not want it any more...)

pkmn!

If you are a fan of Pokemon, then you're gonna to like this title! It's something new and different. The graphics and sound is really cool and the replay value great, also you can link the game to the DS version, if you have both at the same time on the DS.

don't buy this

This is by far the worst pokemon game tha I have ever played. I even bought the walkthrough and I still could not make heads or tails out of this game. The grafics are good but that's about it. The story line could use more work, and the controls could be a little esay're.

Totally awesome dungeon crawler!

I love this game. It's frustrating to get used to the controls, but once you've got it worked out it's great! You have to have patience and like dungeons and endless walking without the same old Pokemon battle system, though.
Play it for the dungeons, not for your typical Pokemon-world scenario!

This is a great game. You start as a pokemon, battle more pokemon, finish missions, and more. You can pick up items, and use them. There's the Pokemon Square, where you can buy stuff. Later, everyone thinks you are making things go wrong, and you go on a journey. You go into never-before-seen places, battle bosses[Zapdos and Articuno],and find ninetales. Then you go back to your base. You can also get Exp. points by killing pokemon. You can get friends by getting Friend Areas[pokemon can settles in the right one],kill the pokemon, then it can join the team. There's more. My pokemon is Machop, and my partner is Pikachu and I have a lot of friends. One more thing, you can rescue someone who died. So get this game,it's the best.

a little difficult for a 6 year old

I baight this game expecting it to have the depth of the other games. Those can keep me going for months on end. This one was fine, but once the story was over, I was done with it. I was actually falling asleep trying to go through the 37+ levels in some of these missions. and if you die, you have to start all over again! I'm sorry but I dont even have that attention span. All the levels look the same even though they are randomly generated, they use the same tiles over and over. like I said, one the story was dont, I got rid of it for credit twards one of the newer games like dimond or perl.

Currently into Pokemon Ranger. Much better than this one. Highly recoment this one. Great side story.
There is a reason they are makeing a movie from the Ranger story and not from the rescue team story...
