While not exactly a fan of the animated series, I decided to give Rugrats a try and boy was I in for a suprise! Not only does it offer 3 distinct games to test the boundaries of your intellect, not only does it do this with top notch animation and design, not only does it cater to gamers across the board, but it also increases dexterity and thumb strength! This game may not be for you, BUT I HIGHLY DOUBT IT. Rugrats isn't leaving my N64 anytime soon, so why isn't it in yours?

ONe of the best rugrats and overall games I've ever played

This game has been on son's eyes since he went to that premiere video. he will tell the review.
This game as my mom said has been on my eyes since i was about 7 or eight. this game is VERY VERY FUN! i am a teenager and i still love it. dont listen to those other reviews and think its terrible. in this age of games, halo and Gears of war, etc are cool with good graphics. Nintendo JUST LICENSED IT! NOT MSDE IT! people think that they did make but they dont, they just license the gme. nickoleodeon made not nintendo. tis game is very fun and you should just give it a chance.

If your kids like Rugrats, they'll love this game

This, this game...This game is the most atrocious piece of trash that I have ever laid eyes on....The graphics are hideous. The game is very blocky and pixelated. There is only one mini-game,and you can only play it after you complete an entire game. The Mario Party games have hundreds of mini-games.The voice overs are atrocious.Star Wars Obi-Wan has better voice overs! This game is the reason I hate every game made by THQ.If you buy this game for your child, then he/she will have a permanently damaged brain.Only 2-year olds with no imagination will enjoy this game.

"Cute, Fun For Rugrat Fans."

This is a good game for young gamers. My 9 year old gets bored with this one but plays along with my 4 year old, who likes it. They both like the Rugrats cartoons and movie and since this game has most of the regular characters in it, it keeps their interest.

Little Kids Game

For the younger kids, this is a great game. It reminds me of the "Hide and Go Seek" game Barney had for Sega Genesis. This definately a game for the little ones that really can't play other games becaise they are too gorey or too hard. It has cute graphics, too!

Odd graphics, slow gameplay, little replay value

If you have a 3-10 year old that struggles with the faster morechallenging games on the n64, this may satisfy. Otherwise avoid. Theplayers (characters from the TV show) are rendered in low res 3d graphics that are annoying to look at and dimly colored compared to the cartoon. The 4 different 'hunts' play like a board game with the computer taking the palce of a missing player. Spinning for turns and waiting for the computer to move is agonizingly slow.

What a mess...

I was looking foward to this, mainly because I like the Rugrats show. At the time this game was released (about June 1999) the Rugrats TV show had pretty much become a show for kids only with nothing redeeming for older audiences. With that in mind, the Rugrats license didn't need a game like this. This game tries to cash in on the success of Mario Party, but it fails to do that. Why? This is just a normal board game, which is all fine and dandy, but there's absolutely nothing to make you want to play this again. It has no mini-games like Mario Party. It has only one, count it, one play mode, and because of that, the replay value is really low. Even the four-player mode can't reedem it. But that's not all. The graphics are so bad for N64. I've seen PS1 games that look better then this, and those games came out years before this one! Why THQ didn't support the Expansion Pak is beyond me. I think it would have helped. The biggest problem (that I also stated above) is that the game is literaly over before it begins, and being priced at almost any dollar amount, this game is a rip-off. It may have been worth it if it was priced at a low dollar amount, but I wouldn't bet on it. There is some good though: The sounds and voices are nice, the controls are very simple, and the Rumble Pak feature is nice. But since it's so short and boring, it destroys all the fun. I know THQ was trying to aim this at young kids who aren't good at video games, but they failed even on that level. Games like Tigger's Honey Hunt (also on N64), are made for young kids in mind, but are also enjoyable for older audiences (and games like that usually have more replay value). Even for its target audience, there is no fun to be had here. Skip this and let your kids try Tigger's Honey Hunt instead. But if you really need a Rugrats game, get Search For Reptar on PS1. It's the best Rugrats game out there (though that's not saying much) and it has much more replay value then this.

Horrible

This game is the most not fun game that n64 has ever put out. I am not kidding you have wasted your money if you buy this game or even rent it for a dollar. The game lacks any reward for beating it's levels and is not fun. The graphics are not good and the gameplay is horrible. Sure this may be good for a few little kiddies who just want to see their favorite nicktoons in a video game but, if you are looking for a fun and exciting game, this is not it.
