Star Wars Episode 2: Attack of the Clones is a break-taking game that closely follows the outstanding move. You can play as Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, or Mace Windu and fight against numerous enemies from the movie such as Jango Fett, Zam Wesell, Count Dooku, and several other baddies from the movie. There are two distinct modes of play: sidescrolling lightsaber action or 3D racing/combat levels. All 12 of these levels are top-notch well-designed levels with incredible complexity. The levels from the movie include Tatooine, Asteriod Fields, Geonois, and Coruscant and you can control speeders, Republic gunships, and Jedi starfighters. Plus, you can pick up different kinds of power-ups that can increase your jumping ability, fire power, speed, etc.

The graphics and sound in this game are nothing short of perfect. THQ's 3D levels are mind-blowing because it feels like you are in the vehicle dodging asteroids and avoiding enemy fire. As for side-scrolling levels, camera angles are just right, you are center stage, you can see enemies from a safe distance and the angle gives you enough time to pick up enemies that are sneaking up behind you. And you can't forget about the amazing cutscenes from the movie that you can see in between levels. Scenes are digitized and they look perfect with the high capability color of Game Boy Advance's LCD screen. The background music contains a lot of the songs from the movie and the superb sound effects make the game even more realistic.

All in all, this game is a must-buy if you like the movie. It is perfect for fans of all ages because it's not too hard or frustrating for young kids but older people will like it too because it's difficult to master.

Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones still has the great gameplay of all the Star Wars Saga. Bringing back all the great things back like swoop bikes, light sabers, and the soundtrack, this game is gonna rock!

The Force is strong in this one

Have you been waiting for the perfect Star Wars experience on the GBA? Wait no longer, for Star Wars: Episode 2: Attack of the Clones is here and it rocks. The 3-D ship levels are astounding and the lightsabre-sidescrolling levels are excellent. Unlike Jedi Power Battles, you can control which direction your lightsabre slashes and blocks and slash air units. And the boss battles are like in the movies: you could be fighting one on one or fighting a boss while slashing battle droids at the same time. If you were disappointed with JPB, don't worry because THQ has fixed their mistake. The visuals and the sound is excellent. This game rocks.

Great. Lacks nothing at all

First of all the music is by the John Williams Band, which is nothing short of amazing. The side scrolling levels are fun even if you are 3D game fan,I'm one too. If you loved the movie, at least try the game. It stays true to the movie and there are photos from the movie also. The 3D action is extrordinary. The game really pushes GBA's abilities to the limit. I also think some people may agree with me in saying that I hope Star Wars, Episode 2 will also have a game for PS2, X-Box, and Gamecube.

Okay.....

Unless you are a huge fan of the Star Wars series, I mean really huge, pass this game up.

The graphics are wonderful and really push the Gameboy Advance's capabilities to the max.

The gameplay is sloppy. In the side scrolling mode, the lightsaber button is A, but you have to hit a directional key also to use it.

The 3D mode is not what it seems. It's very hard and the objective is not very clear. The craft turns too slow and you can only see approaching objects from a few feet away, when it's too late.

The sound and music is great, but who cares?

If you get the game, you will enjoy it, but only if you use passcodes to play any level you want. That's what I did. I keep a checklist of all the levels I beat. It's alot more fun anyway.

You should get this game if you really like Star Wars. But not if you are not a fan of the films.

The review of this is nuetral, so you'll have to decide for yourself.

Meh...it's good, but not great

Reading the last review sounds like someone might be a little too close to the franchise.

The pros - looks great, sounds great.

The cons - The controls are a little odd, and the gameplay is a tad boring. I mean all you do is go from left to right with a minimum of problem solving (The most you do is jump up one level, or down one level. This is in the majority of the levels, which are the "side scrolling" variety. The few "flight" levels save the game from getting 2 stars IMHO.)

All in all the product seems rushed.

But hey, it's Star Wars, right? I know that's why I got it.

The most HORRIBLE game

This game is truly bad. I did not like the movie and this game is not any better. The setting, characters, gameplay, time, and most importantly the graphics are bad. If i were you i would not waste my money on this game...........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!out

This is not the worst Star Wars video game to ever hit
store shelves. It comes pretty darn close though. What is the best part of Star Wars Episode II Attack Of The Clones for Gameboy Adavance? The packaging! Thats right! The box that holds this poor excuse for a Star Wars title is it's greatest aspect. When one checks out screen shots from various internet sites & magazines that showcase this title, one tends to think this game will be simply fantastic.

Being the only video game title to all encompass such a great movie it should have been truly splendid. Unfortunately this game is far from fantastic and is nowhere near splendid. The cool graphics and soundtrack do not make up for the horrible gameplay or lack thereof. This is one of the most difficult video games to control. I spent forty-five mins on the first level at the lowest difficulty setting and found myself ready to toss my gameboy advance out the window.

Being Anakin Skywalker is fun, but not when the playability doesn't exist. If one does decide to purchase this game, get it as a collector's item. Not as entertainment. Some things are just better left in a galaxy far far away.
