Great game!

like wowzorz it pwns and owns!!!!11oneone!!
XD j/k
This is a great game, quite challenging, but fun enough that you don't throw you gameboy through the window when you lose. The music and sound effects are good, the backgrounds are interesting, the enemies are wide and varied, the gameplay overall is very enjoyable. My main gripe is that Luigi's jump is very-difficult to control acutely. If you want precise landing, you should use Mario.
Overall, it's a 9/10. Definitely worth your money.
It owns.

Great Game, But Not a Must-Have

I love Super Mario Bros. 3, but this Gameboy Advance port isn't really a must-have. The only new thing it adds -- extra levels -- is accessible only through the e-Reader, which means anyone who uses a GBA SP can't get the extra levels.

And *that* means that those of us who still have Super Mario Bros. 3 on their SNES (yes, I'm revealing my age) don't really need to shell out the money for this game.

It's too bad, really ... if anything new had been added to the game, I would've bought it in a hot minute.

BUY IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was only interested in this game because I owned the origonal game for Nintendo. I liked this game because on the weekends, me and my friend would play the game all day. When i played it in Wal*Mart, I thought it was the origional game. The game had the same music, the same menu, and the same graphics. The music i thought would be weak, but it was as strong as the origional. I used the cheats my friend taught me for the origional game and they worked!!!! The gameplay is the same, the levels and music are the same. I highly reccomend this game to any Mario fan. I begged my parents for it. I got it!! I love this game. Buy this game over any Mario gameboy game out. I love this game. BUY IT!!!!!!!!!

Great game - but why so costly?

Don't get me wrong - Super Mario Bros. 3 is one of the greatest games Nintendo ever made. I remember paying an exorbitant amount of money so I could play the Japanese version before the original game was released in America - and then playing it literally all night and into the next morning. In fact, I just had fun playing it the other day on my Super Nintendo.

Which leads to the question - why the heck does this cost $29.99? As far as I could tell, the only changes are some annoying random voice samples, and a few text changes that I can't explain (i.e. the "cards" that you get at the end of each level are now called something else - tiles, maybe?).

I have a game called Mario All-Stars for my Super Nintendo. It features four full Mario games, with extensive updates to the graphics and sound of each game. Yet, if I remember correctly, that game sold for only $39.99 when it was brand new. The fact that Nintendo now is selling a 10-year-old game for more than $10 is ridiculous.

This Game is WOAN

I bought a game boy today and this is the game I decided to pick as my first ever game boy game! I spent hours playing this game on my super nintendo, it's one of the greatest games I've ever played. I'm not used to my tiny little game boy screen yet so all I can say for now is if you liked Mario 3 way back then well you shouldn't be disapointed with this edition. A must have for E.

After playing this game for 5 days, we (Three Brothers) think the game is awesome! It's a fun challenge, good graphics, and the sound is good. This is similar to Super Mario Advance 2...both are very enjoyable.

I grew up with this game so when it came out for gameboy advance, I HAD to have it. All the old challanges and bosses, it's truly a classic. I love the old Mario Bros. a lot more than the newer games. All they focus on now are the graphics. It's a pity they don't make games like this anymore. Treasure this.

About the game:

Mario Bros. 3 is jammed back with levels, enemies and weapons. It's especially good if you have an E-reader card where you can play NEVER BEFORE PLAYED levels. As most games, each level you progress to gets harder and harder. It's an excellent game...really, there isn't much more to say. Buy it and you'll understand.
