ALOTTA FUN!!

I can see many possiblities for this expansion packs. You can own almost any store or what not if you can imagine it you can have it.The building options they gave us this time is great . Seeing I am more a builder then player most the time. Most the time I do play too.The split levels are really beautiful and the domed roofs and awnings. I really like the new lockable doors too keep those unwanted sims out.At first its a little difficult to figure out but once you get going its fun .The addition of the robots was cute too. I have a little girl servo already and they can wear formal attire.I am a 31 year old sim player and have been since 2003 since the original I got all xpacks for the original and i know for a fact I will for this one too. I just can't wait for that family fun stuff pack . I like how the nautical themery looks.

Okay...., but kinda boring

I think it takes too much time to stand around in a store waiting for customers to buy, hiring employees, and building customer satisfaction. It gets pretty dull quick. I like the new floorings and decorating stuff, but it is seriously lacking in new objects. This was the last of the expansion packs I bought because I think I knew it would not be as fun as the others. One high note though is the "shopping music" that includes the songs you heard on the old Sims version. LOL. It was a nice trip down memory lane.

Much better than the last expansion pack

I pre-ordered this game and used the free shipping and I seriously got it the next day after it's release from Amazon. Lot's of fun, installing was nice and fast, there are few minor glitches here and there but not as bad as Nightlife. There are always glitches but I'm sure a patch will be offered on the Sims site for that.
There is a lot of new stuff and it takes time how to figure out to run the biz and all but that's a good thing because I want to take my time with this game and not try to master it in 2 hours and feel it was a waste of money.
I think it's a really fun expansion pack and I really like that it doesn't freeze up on me when there are to many people on a lot like Nightllife did all the time.
It's fun and I think it's worth to have if you enjoy the Sims.

Good expansion despite insane bugs

First of all, this expansion pack is great, it adds a lot of nice features, the obdivious ones like starting businesses and all the robots. Though they are pretty easy to make piles of money with little effort anyone who plays the sims knows you can make it harder by doing things like trying to run the business with you as the only employee and such. But running a business in any sensiable way makes it just incredably easy to make piles of money. Despite that it's still pretty fun, since you can do all sorts of businesses.

Also, there are a lot of bugs, they do get pretty annoying but sooner or later they will make a patch fixing all these bugs. If you can't deal with bugs just wait for the patch and everything will be fine.

Loving the Biz!

As I have upgraded to a newer expansion, I can't exactly remember everything added with OFB, but I do know how much I love having a home business. I haven't experimented with other things yet, but it was well worth the buy if you're an avid sims player!

Its good, but there are some bugs...

I was amped like hell to get this game, and I am happy, but there are some bugs.

Like the person before me said, the Mission furniture will decieve you, but I haven't really played it hard-core yet.

Another is when you want the new woosh-hair for the women, and when you tranisition to the teenager, its braids, but back to the adult, its also braids. PROBLEM!

BUT don't let the bugs keep you from buying the game. I'm sure the Maxis team will conjure up a patch and all will be good :)

In this game, you can make your own business, whether it be a bakery, a salon, a clothing boutique, a cafe, a restaurant, an electronics store --ANYTHING. You can even sell the stuff from Buy mode, but if your Sim is tres talented, have them make stuff and sell it.

Really, this is a good game, lots of new stuff, and its a whole new experience. I can't wait for the new expansion!

Best Addition Yet!

I played The Sims 2 for quite awhile, and thought it was time to expand my gamming. So, by reading the reviews on Amazon, I was able to choose this game. I was very, very pleased with it.

In this expansion pack, your sims can now open a buisness. They can choose to have a home buisness, or start a store off the lot (at a community lot). You have complete control, from hiring/firing other sims, to working them to the bone, to makeing them a hilarious uniform (my trademark uniform is a pink gorilla suit :-) ).

I believe this is the best Expansion yet!

Impossible!

This is such a let down! It's nearly impossible to play. For one thing, you can accidently ruin the lives of other Sims by hiring them to work for you. How do teenagers go to work and to school? How do adults keep their 'real' jobs? They don't, and the adults show up as unemployed if they're staff and don't get paychecks or get called to work when you play their lot. Also, if you have this game without other expansions, it overrides the basic Sims2 wants for your sims, and you end up with business-focused sims (from child to adult, and regardless of their aspiration)which is really annoying. All the expansions have this annoying tendancy though, so if you have them all it balances out. I bought this the day it came out and have been kicking myself ever since.

Needed more!!!!

I have had a great time playing this game so far but it can be annoying. One thing I found that stunk was that when you use the boolprop cheat at a store and then choose one of your workers to raise his/her mood they well stop working for you. I hate leaveing at 9 in the morning for your store and then coming home at 6 and its 9 still at home. I hope the patch come soon cuz these bugs suck. I am very upset that there are not hardly any new items. For the price of the game we should have gotten alot more. It is also very hard to run a business. It is a ok game but needed more work done on it. It realy is not much it is not realy worth that much money. I know I may of not of bought it if I knew there was just this in new stuff. I would just wait for the next Sims game to come out or wait for the patch but if you like to do alot of work then in all means buy it. Good luck and have fun if you do buy it.

Open For Business

Now this Expansion is definately worth it! There are all kinds of new and cool things you get with this pack! The simple fact that you can run your own business is beyond cool! You are limited to what kinds of businesses you yourself can open, but it's still really neat. Make sure you don't over-work your employees, and make sure they're well paid. The happier they are, the better they perform. I think the designers of this game deserve a whole bunch of praise! Awesome job!
