This is one of the best games I have ever played. On a scale of one - five I'd give this game a twenty. The action is great, the storyline is awesome, and the graphics are some of the best I've ever seen. You really feel like your megman it's so fun. So I say Buy this game Today!

As long as some guy (in jeans) hasn't reviewed this...

I believe that I can speak for everyone, except for some guy (in jeans), that this game is completely rad. Not only are the creatures totally bad, but the game itself is not at all sad. Now I know what you're thinking, this is just some fad. But you have to realize it wasn't made in Trinidad. All in all, you won't be mad, unless you mix a striped shirt with pants of plaid. So out buy this game even if your name's Chad. But I wouldn't spend the money if you're name is Chad. If some guy (in jeans) reviews this game...please pay no attention to it.

Don't be fooled - they Lie!

A MegaMan RPG. Great! Of course, I was remembering the MegaMan Legends for Playstation (when that old thing first came out). The interface was perfect - run and shoot - just like the original MegaMan series. And bonus - you can upgrade your character with parts you find lying around just like Metroid.

So I dive into the game Mega Man X Command Mission; let's see how this badboy rocks on Playstation 2! Cool, a slide attack move! This could be promising. So naturally, I'm stoked to go give some robots the business. Trouble is, I can't find any. Then while moving around, the screen goes black - cue familiar battle music. NOOOOO!

WHY in the BLOODY HELL is a MegaMan game TURN-BASED??!
Please REREAD that sentence - TURN-BASED!

Mega Man X Command Mission takes the rigid concepts of an RPG too far. An RPG should be defined by a character that evolves a bit during the story (levels, et cetera).

Instead, the game follows nearly every rule set by the Final Fantasy Administration. If you remember, Final Fantasy battles (with few exceptions) were lame until just recently. The salvation being that the games had excellent story.

NO, Capcom, multiple attacks does not make a turn-based battle more dynamic.

So why shoot yourself in the foot and create a game that NOW needs an excellent story to cover this turd of a battle system? Call me pessimistic (I haven't finished the game, yet - I may be wrong), but I think the story is going to get about as deep and engaging as a Pokemon episode.

This Review is biased. So what? I like to play games that either have a compelling story (see Xenosaga, Final Fantasy) or have interesting and challenging battles (bonus if they are both there).

Look. Save your money. Buy Legends - the graphics are still good, and it's probably around $3.99 American right now.

PS - if anyone has any conspiracy theories as to why my favorite video game characters from my childhood have become dumb marketing ploys? I remember when Zelda used to mean something.

Bah!

GREAT FOR KIDS!

From what I hear, this is an excellent game! You people who are looking for a Legends game buy a Legends game. This is an RPG! RPG AS IN PAPER MARIO!! GET THAT THROUGH YOUR HEADS!!!!! It has more of an action feel than Paper Mario, but not like Mega Man Legends! Capcom made a REAL Mega Man RPG! If you really want an RPG, shouldn't you be happy!?!?

If you like Paper Mario, you should buy this game.

OK, when I heard they were making an RPG for the X series, I seriously wondered whether it would be worth it. But, being the avid Final Fantasy lover and big-time Mega Man X fan, I decided to put some cash down on it.
Wow. That's all I can say. Wow. Capcom is on the rebound. This game is pure silver. A fair story, nice art, good characters and a nonstressful battle system all score it high marks in my books. My only regret is that it seems to lack some real toe-tapping tunes like the rest of the Mega Man games, and some of the voice acting is sub-par. Nevertheless, I bought this game new, and I'd do it again. Hurrah to Capcom for restoring my faith in them!

The X series starts to redeem itself.

Everything you really need to know about this game is in T. Blair's excellent review. I just want to add that the RPG format is a welcome change of pace to the Megaman X series. This game provides an opportunity to delve deeper into the real issues of the story. It's the best innovation for the storyline since they first included brief conversations before each boss fight in Megaman X4.

Although you can enjoy this game without having played previous Megaman X games, it does help. Definitely pick up X4 if you can.

The X series has always really been about what the place of an intelligent robot is in human society. The issue of Reploid independence seems far from over. As is often shown in the X games, the "good guys" are not always 100% right and the "bad guys" aren't always all bad. This makes the story more interesting and I look forward to seeing it expounded upon much more in the future; but this game is a good start.

Command Mission is a fun, mildly challenging yet engaging RPG. It's also the best Megaman anything in several years. If you like this, try Custom Robo.

When I heard there was going to be a megaman X roleplaying game, I was so excited that I nearly screamed. When I realized it was already out, I did scream. The only thing I don't like about this game is that it's too short. I know it's hard and expensive to program alot of levels, but I wanted more than ten chapters plus secrets. I already beat it all. Well, not quite. theres still some secrets left, but no badguys left that are a challenge to me. it's a bit dissappointing how easy all the baddies are now, but it's still loads of fun.
