Fun for all kids and adults!!!

I bought this game out of pure curiosity but found it hours of fun for all! I bought the Disney party game and couldn't figure it out so I was a bit hesitant to buy this one but figured for $20 I would give it a shot. Hey if I didn't like it I could always sell it on ebay. My kids enjoy it but my friends and I enjoy it even more. The kids are a little less patient. The only issue I have found is that sometimes the games can go on for ever. That is one thing I enjoy about Mario Party, the game usually has a set ending time. My friend and I played one game for 3 hours and finally had to quit the game. Overall, one of the coolest games I've played in a long time.

Great Family Fun

Of all of the GameCube games that we own, this is by far the one that we play the most. My 5 year old daughter can actually play along with my 12 year old daughter, my husband, and I. The characters crack the younger one up and the games are, for the most part, pretty easy to get. Games that are "girl friendly" are difficult to find. Also, it's fairly hard to find a game that all four of us can play at once. I highly recommend this as a family game.

I bought this as a "community" game for my 10 year old son and my 6 year old daughter. I wanted to find something that they could play together and be age appropriate. What we found is that not only do my children love it but my husband and I do as well. We actually went out and bought 2 new controllers so all four of us could play! Video games may get a bad rap but this game made many nights family nights playing this game together. The games are fun and competitive without alot of difficult moves to make. Now that we have all the games unlocked, we play them to get the highest score. I highly recommend this game as a universal boy/girl and without age restriction.

This is my 6 yr old daughter's favorite new game to play. The mini games gives her a chance to pick out and play the quick games she is most fond of. She loves being Miss Piggy. I would recommend this game to anyone looking for a first video game for a young child.

Best Party Game Yet

Being a huge fan of both the Muppets and the "party game" genre, I had to give this game a try. Even though it costs far less than competing games, this one is way more fun, pound-for-pound.

Compared to other party games, this one gives each player a greater amount of control over their board moves and strategies. It's not just a simple laps-around-the-board or race-to-the-finish format in this game. Instead, it's a freeform structure that allows the players to determine how often they play minigames and how mean they want to be to each other. This feature is appealing for older players who are turned off by the dumbed-down, restrictive boards on games like Mario Party or Pac-Man Fever. Also, as you unlock larger boards, more features are also unlocked, allowing you new ways to harrass your opponents, such as hypnotizing their characters or draining their funds from the Automated Trouble Machine.

As far as the minigames go, this game offers 30 quality 4-player minigames which all operate on a universal point system. They range from puzzle games to flying, first person shooting, sports, arcade, and driving games- and all with a silly Muppet twist. Fish tossing, stinky cheese gathering, and tomato throwing are all included, and that's just what you do with food. A great feature of the universal point system is that you can pre-purchase points in each game to gain an unfair advantage if you choose to, or you can horde your credits and try to cash them in at the end. If you save, look out for rock-paper-scissors, where an opponent can challenge you for half your stash. The tide can turn quickly if you aren't careful!

I also should mention the music. Whoever wrote the tunes that play behind each mini game and the main floors did a superb job. I love listening to the songs in this game. I don't think I could say that about any other games. It really adds to the Muppet atmosphere hearing the kooky, brassy music behind the action.

Overall, I can't recommend this game enough. So far, I've played it with quite a few friends, three of which went to purchase it themselves. You can't go wrong with under $20 for a game of this quality. A+

I am a big fan of the Mario Party games, so this game is right up my alley. However it has one major advantage over the Mario Party games. There is the possility of playing a mini game on each players turn, not just once after everyone has gone. This does mean some turns no games are played.
The mini games themselves are very creative and unique compared to other party games I have played. For example, there's a paintball game, Speed bingo, Stage Fright, Pig Party, etc It took quite a while for me to earn enough party favors to open all the games and boards, but it was well worth.
I only wish there were more characters to be in the game, like Scooter and Rowlf.

For kids, but I like it too!

I am a 40-something person who enjoys games, but find that a lot of them require that you be double jointed, ambidextrous, and a Mensa to master them. This is a fun game that everyone can enjoy and you don't have to worry about children being in the room because it is certainly G rated!

While some of the games are easy, others take quite awhile to master (for some of us). Children and adults don't get frustrated since everyone can manage some of this game. At the same time, the challenge is there to keep you interested.

I highly recommend this game to young and old alike.

This game is a waste of money....OMG!!

this game plain S*U*C*K*S!!!!!! you have to keep pushing the A button to make your character move. and it takes F*O*R*E*V*E*R to get to YOUR turn again, since the AI players get to do MORE in the game than you do! it's like YOURE NOT even playing! just a CRAPPY game all around. i bought it or my sons' 7th birthday, and he feels thesame about this game also......Don't Bother with This game....PASS ON THIS ONE....PLEASE!!!

Game kids can play together

When we first put the game in, we failed to read any of the instructions thinking that it was a game for kids and should be straight forward enough. We were very wrong. The kids hated it - it was confusing and too fast in some areas and too slow in others. We put the game aside for a couple of months. Out of the blue I decided to try and figure it out. With a little help from the instructions and a lot of exploring the game, we got it sorted out. Now the kids love it! When my son (6) has friends over, they play and giggle. The mini-games are very short, so when it is time for friends to go home or to turn off the cube, they don't have to stop in the middle of anything. My youngest (just turned three) likes to play by pushing the buttons. Sometimes he even wins! It is the only game that my boys can play together and not fight about.
Several of the games are too hard though, even I can't do well. When you are playing the short cruise you just pick the mini-games that you want to play, so you can skip the hard ones. The long cruise it where it gets weird. You take turns moving spaces to open doorways. You can interact with the other characters here and take their points, but it is very confusing to younger kids. It is also very boring because you always play with four opponents and you have to wait for them to take their turns and then additional characters may show up as well. It is just too much for kids under 8 to remember, although they can get through it (especially with help).
We really like that this game doesn't emphasize winning. When playing the long cruise, everyone gets party favors at the end. There are even some especially for the person who has lost the most games, thus ending on a very positive note. After playing the mini-games, it shows the winner and each character's points. The computer usually wins! But after that, points don't really matter. Just that the more you have at the end, the more new games you can unlock.
I feel that for the young kids, most of the mini-games are fun and yet challenging enough that they will want to practice and try to beat the computer (or other players). There is also a very good variety in the mini-games. Some are very simple, others will probably have to wait until they are older. Overall, one of the better games for kids 5-8 that we have come across. Just be prepared to figure it out ahead of time if younger kids will be playing.

I am a Muppets fanatic...so this game was a great find....first it's only 20 bucks..so right there a deal!...second...if u love the Muppets how cool is it to find something updated to play...I get to share my childhood with my kids..(also my brother and I get a great kick out of playing together and laughing like we did when we were kids over The Muppets humor.) The game is similar to Mario Party..you choose from six characters(Miss Piggy, Kermit,Animal, Pepe, Gonzo, and Fozzy....then u can play a board game where u get mini games..u do have to earn things to open other games and levels..but thats what a GAME is suppose to do...if everything was there with no challenge what' s the point?..and best of all u get these small video clips of all the different Muppets doing something funny ...bottom line..u like The Muppets? then buy the game.
