Let's see....PLAY THE GAME BEFORE you gripe about it...

That lady who left a bad review here recently does not, obviously, understand that a more complex game (that will include a romance for th elead character) needs to be more realistic. Unless she wants to see girl on girl action in this sequel. Give me a break. ONE star because there's no girl in the game? I have played the demo as well, and can fully agree that this has the potential to extend the star trek universe in MANY positive ways. Graphics are , as expected, superb. Plot line hasn'
t really been revealed too much yet. However, it is known that the plot will be taken from the series. In the finale of the tv show the voyager went into a wormhole. Then, they went to a commercial. After the commercial, they came out of the wormhole and nothing was ever explained as to what had happenned inside the wormhole. This game is the answer. Very interesting. I have seen that the system requirements are relatively low compared to todays' average powerhouse game releases...

Better then SFC and SFC2 combined!!!!

I love this game. Now, I'v got starfleet command 1 and starfleet command 2 and I have to say that this is far better then both combined. One of the things that got me realy mad was that in starfleet command 1 and 2 you had to purchase a new ship because it had better weaponry or better shields. Well now in starfleet command 3 you don't have to worry about that. All you have to do now is buy a ship and upgrade the ships armorments, shields, and various other systems.

Another thing I like about this game is that you get to create a customized ship. You can make a ship in any configuration as you wish.

The campaign modes are also reasionably challengeing with different types of missions that have to be preformed.

Various mods can be downloaded to this game. You can download these mods on various cites, it shouldn't be to hard to find any. My personal favorite is the Generation(s) at war Mod. This mod includes ships from STARFLEET COMMAND 1 AND 2!!!!!!!!. Not only that but ships that weren't even in any SFC game or star trek series. Like the Excalibar class Challenger class, freedom class and at least 150 more ships.

With all the different new features in this game I would say that it surpasses most star trek games. If you are a true star trek fan this is a game you must buy.

The Best Star Trek Game Yet!!

Star Trek Armada 2 looks really great. The Galaxy class seperation saucer and the new warp drives are going to make moving an entire fleet easier. Also you can occupy planets. The Borg now have a fusion cube that looks unstoppable! And the new species 8472 bio ships will give the Borg hecka problems. I'm also keeping an eye on the new Intrepid class for the Federation. I can't wait till November! You gotta get this game. Reserve now or you might not get one!!!

Engage!

This game rocks. Even the demo has sweet graphics- you can see each and every port on your ship. The real version will have about 16 playable ships, including the Federation(Akira, Ambassador, Galaxy, Nebula, and Sovereign, the Klingons(B'Rel and Vor'Cha), the Romulans(D'deredix), the Ferengi(Marauder), the Cardassians(Galor, Keldon), and a new race called the Kessok. In terms of weapons, settings, and how things work the game stays so close to the series it seems like you're in an episode. Also, it's voice activation technology is quit remarkable. Star Trek: Bridge Commander has 4 possible outcomes from total, complete sore defeat to conquering the known universe with a Sovereign-Class battleship.

The greatest space combat sim ever made

If you like SFC, this is the game for you. There are 16 possible races to choose from - 8 empires and 8 pirate cartels. No other Starfleet Command product gives you the range of options of this game.

If you don't know SFC, its level of tactics is unequaled in the gaming industry. There is no space simulation game that is more detailed and fascinating.

It takes skill. This is not a shoot-em-up. While not easy to learn, patience and practice will mold you into a feared and deadly starship captain. The online play, supported by the free GameSpy Arcade, is the most rewarding, for you can pit your skills against other captain wannabes. Do not be discouraged. As I said, it takes seasoned skill to win. When you first begin, you have little hope against a veteran player. Your skills will improve in a few weeks, however. Your first victory against another human opponent will be sweet, sweet, sweet.

Buggy at first, with patches it has become very stable. It is a very rewarding game for those who are looking for a game with a little depth.

The DEMO is OUT!!! IT IS AMAZING!!!

The graphics in Elite Force 2 are FANTASTIC!!! Out of all of the games using the Quake3 engine - these have to be the Best Graphics I have seen! The detail is second to none!! I am having a hard time writing this review because of how great this games is (demo) and I am having a hard time puting it into words! OHhhhh - this is also COOL! Music in games is always great...puts you in the mood.... Elite Force 2 took it to the next level and made it JUST LIKE A MOVIE! If the action gets tense - the music adjusts to be more intense.... if an apponent appears in the distance...the music adjusts to make you feel like something is going to happen (even if you can barely see them)....it is really hard to describe - it is MUCH better than I'm describing it. Its not just a pre programmed "play this music when the player gets to this point" sort of thing - it REALLY adjusts to the environment you are in and what is going on!!! If you haven't tried the demo - GET IT!!

This definately deserves higher than a 5!!! YES....its THAT GOOD!

STAR TREK: STARFLEET COMMAND 3

Star Trek Starfleet Command 3. Could there ever be a better game? After you play this game, you will answer that question the smae way I did. No. In SFC3, you can play as Federation, Klingon, Romulan, and Borg. From the sleek Soverign class vessel (U.S.S. Enterprise 1701-E) to the massive Borg Cube. Fire a variety of weapons, including Quantum Torpedoes, Phasers, Disruptors, and Gavemetiric Torpedoes. Beam you troops over on hit-and-run raids to disable enemy systems, or to attempt the impossible: take over the entire vessel.
Create fleets of up to five vessels, and gang up on small vessels. Invade enemy territory in missions ranging from Planetary Scan, Assulting defensless stardocks, or taking a suicidal run on an enemy starbase.
Launch Probes, cloak, use an anti-cloaking scan, launch specialized shuttles, an perform eratic manuvers. Manage your sheilds to prevent enemy boarding parties from completeing their mission. Name your ship, and create ships from the shows like the U.S.S. Defiant, and visit noted locations such as Sector 00,01 (Earth), Romulus, Remus, The Borg Homeworld, and the legendary home of th klingons, Q'ronos.
Engage in 4 epic campagins, icluding for all major star empires, The United Federation of Planets, The Kligon Defense Fleet, The Romulan Star Empire, and the Borg Collective. Or, you can just ignore polotics, and go on to conquer the galaxy.
Anyway, you can count on SFC3 being the best STAR TREK game ever. It is not worth the $90.00 it's being sold for, though, so buy it at a computer game store. Good Luck Conquering the galaxy. You can e-mail me if you have any questions about the game at comderbashir@yahoo.com Jolan Tru

Excellent game so far (I haven't hit the end of it yet, it's actually rather long)..the plot is developing nicely, with some interesting twists (and I still haven't managed to even venture a good guess as to some of the things that are going on, it's good at being mysterious.) The graphics engine is good enough to get the job done, the bridge/characters are it's weakest component, it does really well at rendering the ships during combat. You get some of those cinematic moments where you fire a shot from your rear tubs right into a hole in the hull of a cardaissian ship and watch it blow the ship apart. Speaking of which, the damage modeling is AMAZING, you can literally cut parts of a ship away (which is a rather effective method of destroying a large number of subsystems at once.)

Although everything is not 100% canon to the show, it is necessary to make the game balanced and fun. All in all, it's a fun game (which is what really counts, no?) and I highly recommend it to anyone who has always wanted to command a starship.

Truly the Best Star Trek Game I Have Ever Played

I know it's probably going to become quite a tired phrase among us reviewers, but this truly is the best Star Trek game I have ever played. I'm sure we've all dreamed about sitting in the captain's chair snapping out orders to the rest of our crew, watching them desperately trying to perform their duties while the entire bridge is shaking from enemy disrupter fire, and this game completely delivers on that experience. Combine this game with one of the game voice recognition software packages out there and you have one awesome experience. Besides the combat, the plot of the game is pretty good too, and having Captain Picard and Data not just make cameos in this game but actually serve temporarily as part of your starship's crew or come in the Enterprise-E flying to your side during combat is truly memorable. What are you waiting for? How can you call yourself a true Star Trek fan if you don't desperately want this game or are playing it already?

Finally a Star Trek game that doesn't wimp out.

I was impressed with the demo. They fixed the biggest gripes I had about the first Elite Force. Namely, the incredibly lame death animations of some of the baddies. In the first EF they kind of folded up and disappeared--very unsatisfying (a nod to the anti-violence crowd?). It was nice to see critters getting properly fragged in the EF2 demo--and with a shotgun no less.
