This game has hardly any game modes.
There is no carrer mode
Its impossible to get up
The buttons are to over complicated for the psp
You get tired after about 3 punches and you have already lost stamina
All animations are the same
No blood

Graphics? The boxers look like cartoon charichters! Rocky was so much better on ps2

It aint over till its over? Say that when your down on your back

This was proberly the most highly anticipated sport psp game from the previous year, revolving around the recently realesed Rocky Balboa film.
At first glances and screenshots it looks great with amazing psp graphics.
But I will be writing a real review, the other reviews pointlessly gave it 5 stars not for the gameplay but because it was Rocky.
Pros
Great graphics
Great animations and sound when hit, you can virtuly feal the pain
Historical fight videos, really gets you geared up for the fight
IF your lucky enough to get far on champion difficulty, it is a real fun fight with each fighter having momentum swings.

Unfortunately thats the only pros

Cons
You could of knocked down your opponent down numerous times and they get up easy, HOWEVER when your knocked down the process of getting up is so pin point precise its almost impossible to get up! I almost through my psp out the window! You could be killing your opponent then they knock you down its over!
There is not enough gamemodes there is no carrer mode or tournamants theres only exhibition, historical fights and fast lane which is just useless mini games
There is no blood on your face or body just these red marks

Well you have it, finally a unbiassed review

not what i was expecting

im not a super rocky fan, but i like the movies. i wanted to buy a boxing game for my psp. so i thought, cant go wrong with rocky right? wrong. i found the learning curve to be too difficult to play. i just couldnt get into it even though i wanted to. i loved that all the rocky characters are playable. but just not good enought to recomend.

It will never be over until it is over!!!!!

I've been a Rocky fan sense I was a little about 5 and 6 and still is well this game I pre Ordered it on Janurary and actually your getting a huge discount if you buy it on this website than buying it at the store. It ships and delivers really fast. The graphics are great. Also you get to watch alot of videos from the original Rocky movies also a video from Rocky Balboa. They have a ton of characters. Also the historical fight features all of the Rocky movies big fights starting with Rocky v.s. Spider Rico and finishing with Rocky v.s. Mason "The Line" Dixon. During a fight if you are getting punched over and over and you seem to be losing you can do this move to change favors. Also unlike the other rocky games the matches are alot longer. You don't just knock the person down 4 times and thats it you won. No you got to knock them down about 10 to 13 times makes it more realistic. I strongly recommend this game to everyone and remember Go For It! because "Its Not Over Until Its Over" "Its not from the 80s its from the 70s". Thank you for reading this.

It aint over till its over

Im a huge Rocky fan. When I heard they were releasing a game for the PSP; I knew I had to buy it. Soon as I could I ordered on this website and its a great game. Sure they released two simular games for the PS2. With the first being an exact replica of this game. The only difference is Rocky from the movie and Masen "The Line" Dixin are in it along with the HBO PPV Las Vegas arena.

You can relive your favorite fights in Historical Mode, or you can create a dream match in exhibition. Picture Apollo Creed v. Mason "The Line" Dixin. If you have a hard time with something there is a training mode where you can practice. There are also challenges to earn extras.

This is a great game. If you love the Rocky movies or just love boxing, get this game. Its worth it.
