Get over it!!

Hey look, give me a break with your pitiful whining. You can get a CD-ROM for about $10. You can get a DVD-ROM for about $25. It takes about 10 seconds to install. If your PC doesn't have room for two optical drives, you probably won't be able to play this game anyway so stop it already. Most games, all makers, tell you its not recommended to play them on a CD-RW anyway.
Now, back to the game. The original was excellent. It looked good. It was unique, and it had an excellent feel about it. I'm sure this will be just as good.

This game is terrible. For one thing it does not even come with a reference book for installing and installing issues. I like some of the other consummers purchased this game in good faith thinking that a computer less than a year old with a high end video card (when purchased) would be able to run it. BUT after installing it and uninstalling it and then installing it again, and after making the upgrade as suggested for their video links this game still would not run. Even after going to UBI's support page and doing all of the suggested fixes still no GAME PLAYING!
So, I then went to my final resouce and called UBI in person and there I was told that the game would not work on a less than a year old video card and that I was pretty much of of the $40 spent on this nothing game. So in my words UBI is making money while we are lossing!!! Thanks, but no more games from your company UBI!

If your reading this, scan down and read about the person who blames this game and the company who made it because of CD-RW issues, and because it won't start up at all. I have a tip for that person. Read the "Readme files", most games don't run good or run at all on CD-RW drives, which are "CD burner" disk drives. da... That's why your game is not wanting to load. The game like most PC games only run on CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drives. Always read the "Readme Files" Any game with Tom Clancy's name on it, believe me it has been tested to work on Windows 98, me, 2000, XP and on quite a bit of hardware too.

I just bought this game and have not really finished it yet. So I don't know how good it is all the way through...

Good game, but stubborn

I got this game as a birthday present the day it came out. At first it didn't work, until I found out I needed a new graphics card. Bought a Radeon 9200 and this game is awesome! The graphics blow your mind and the story is engaging. If you don't like the story, play multiplayer. The multiplayer is as innovative as it is fun. First-person and third-person in the same game. Usually people stick woth one or the other (Unreal Tournament 2004). Overall the game is good. But make sure your card is supported before you buy (or just buy an XBox). Can't give it five stars because of the bugs.

Summary: Buying an XBox pays off. But if you're supported, buy PC.

Great looks, poor Gameplay

First off I install it. This game seems to have bad graphic driver support. Worked with my ATI Radeon 9700 pro with most up to date even though didn't like it. I boot game up was very good looking but for some reason I ocasionally get game errors, with no clue why out of the blue.

The singel player game it self is short and alot easier than the first one. I very much think first one is alot better, this game disapointed very much I am telling my friends to not buy and if they wish they can come play mine or borrow it and get disapointed themselves.

The multiplayer is fun however, nobody is playing, then when they do they want to go deathmatch, I didn't buy this type of game for death match, however if you can get matches going this can be fun here.

Overall I think the single player was to easy. Multiplayer would totally rock if game servers were more populated. Who knows maybe in a month or two.

Decent

The gameplay is good and the graphics are nice but the game itself isn't too impressive. The challenge of figuring out what to do is not a challenge as the answers are usually given to you or made pretty obvious. It's something to do, but not the most entertaining.

Great Game But...

This is a great game to play, no doubt. Unlike in the fisrt game, you can knock dudes out without killing them. Make sure to check the system requierments and comfirm they are up to par. I had to upgrade my video card in order to play, but it was definitly worth it.

I have a Sony dru720a dvd rw /xp and this program loaded with little problems. Ths shortcut provided to start the game doesn't work, but there is another one in the program files under Splinter Cell which works every time.
Yes this is a linear game but it is very well done and plays through with little frustration and tons of enjoyment. I really didn't expect to much from this title but was pleasantly suprised.
Other than the installation hassle, this is a 5 star game
