Snoop dog destroyed the doors

Some people did not like the free roaming enviornments, I did,
and Some people did not like the soundtrack, I did not.
I wish I waited to buy the game when the price goes down, but I
was a fool.
I think this series has a lot of potential but I would like to
see custom soundtracks, more diverse visuals, and better presentation in the next installment.
I liked the better learning curve, and they had better customization.

I suggest a rental before you buy.

Please don't believe this hype from EA

Now I am not trying to go against everyone here and just say this game is useless, because its not. But the truth is ever since the 3DO version of need for speed came out and was great, the need for speed titles have been up and down, some good and some a waste of time. Its come a long way since 1995. But hasn't exactly reached perfection or a high standard of a solid quality title as yet. The last underground was ok for an arcade racer, and this is quite similar. The graphics have improved and there is millions of customising possibilities for your cars looks and so on, but this does not make up for the gameplay which is at the best of times half decent. The handling is not solid or very reliable and your car feels like its lacking what the real tuned up version would be like. It really does'nt feel like you are driving a racing tuned car as it always just floats around on the road swaying and smashing into scenery and cars around all corners so easily. The other bad thing is the sense of speed which is a real let down. The fact that you have free roaming in a city is very good, but does the poor handling mean free roaming is any fun as much as the game. NO!. Its like a chore you don't like after half way through the game, ''theres a race on the other side of town, get down there or miss out'' is what you hear on your messages inside your ride, then you have to drive all the way to find a race with your GPS on to rinse everyone out. Sound fun? yes! is it fun? no!. This could have been a really good game if they spent more time on it, but it just lacks a lot of things. If you have recently played Burnout 3 I would expect you to be let down like me too. Or even since this is on the Xbox, Project gotham 2 is just superior in every way possible and you would be in complete depression if you went on to this as I thought it would compliment Project gotham 2 as i completed it and wanted another racer, now I have just gone back to PGR2. EA has fast become a money hungry company that robs 1000's and 1000's every year by just adding an extra couple of useless features that aren't as fun as they make out to be to a game that really is quite shallow already, and what do you know, we fall for it. From today I have had it with EA for maybe like ten years, until Need for speed underground 9 is out and has more of a chance in being a decent game for the money I spend on it. Its easy to see how people like this game, They are more than likely to be newer gamers or just casual gamers. But for people like me, it disturbs me this goes on. But anyways, if you have it and like it or tried it and want it, go for it its half decent. But if you are like me and want your moneys worth, I suggest getting the untouchable Project gotham 2 which is half price now, the excellent Burnout 3, the great Toca race driver 2 or wait for Forza racing out very soon like me :-) which is a bit like Gran turismo but exclusive for the Xbox which will hopefully be a classic too, With top graphics and car physics It lets you tune up your cars(over 200) properly, exterior decorating as much as possible, engine tweaking as much as possible and a REAL racing game altogether with a good career mode unlike Need for speed underground 2. But anyways, for now I hope I helped you to make good use of your money so you can make a wise decision, unlike I did. Laters!

this game kinda blows. There must be like six songs that play throughout the entire game and none of them are good. Gameplay is kinda weak, but I'm not really into that whole fast and furious crap. I didn't keep this one for long.

THIS GAME IS OKAY, BUT WHAT ABOUT THE CARS?

If you like cars, this is the game for you. Buy it! You won't be disapointed, I wasn't. The few things that this game didn't include was the CUSTOM SOUNDTRACK option. This is not a very good thing, partially because the standard music is really bad, and that the songs repeat over, and over, and over, and over, and... well you get the picture. The second thing that I didn't like about NSFU2 was that there wasn't a great selection of cars in the Xbox version. Once you get to Level 2, the guidebook says that you will get an Audi TT, a Hummer H2, and many other cars. When I reached Level 2, all I got was the basic cars (Honda Civic, Mazda Miata, etc.) and an Escalade and Lincoln Navigator. HUH?! When I got to the shop and looked at the prices for the car parts, I nearly fainted. They were way more money then any pro-gamer could accumulate during 3 hours of play. Well, then there is the sense of speed. What is this all about!? The cars (not including the Miata) were very slow.

I eventually beat the game, but it took me a long time. Usually games take about 8 hours of playtime to complete, but this took months! If you are a hard-core gamer who wants a really cool racing game, this is definitly not the game for you. This game should really be sold to five year olds!

Glich in NFSU2: When you are on the main highway, go into the other lane and drive there for awhile without getting off the exit ramps. You soon will notice that there are no cars in your lane or the other lanes.

Need for Speed+Underground+2=????
i'm sorry EA this is going to be a bad review for ur game :(
Wow... the visuals, the performance upgrades, the cars.
It sounds great.
It sounded great when I bought it for ( oh i cant say what i bought it for)
It now sounds like a form of torture.
Now ive finished the game ive realized that the only good part of it is the soundtrack...and the idea
At first i thought that this game was soooo coool!!
Then I got to the last two levels...
It gets repetative!!! Really repetative!!! So repeatative its like chinese water torture. In career mode you win about 20 races then you sign a new sponsor. In career mode you win about 20 races then you sign a new sponsor. In career mode you win about 20 races then you sign a new sponsor. In career mode you win about 20 races then you sign a new sponsor. In career mode you win about 20 races then you sign a new sponsor. In career mode you win about 20 races then you sign a new sponsor. In career mode you win about 20 races then you sign a new sponsor. In career mode you win about 20 races then you sign a new sponsor. In career mode you win about 20 races then you sign a new sponsor. In career mode you win about 20 races then you sign a new sponsor. In career mode you win about 20 races then you sign a new sponsor.
AND YOU DO THAT FOR ABOUT EVER
Then they seem to make you stop unlocking parts cars and visuals and the races become pointless...
all there is to do now is play free mode.
On the back of the case it says race or roam on 125 miles of open road.... HA
this is so UNtrue
yes the city is huuuge.. but it has about 5 other streetracing cars driving around and 30normal people cars...that come in 5diffrent varieties(hatchback, van, pickup, suv, and taxi)this may sound good.. but if you think about it , on 125 miles of road you encounter 3 cars every 5 minuites
the motorways(or for USA rreaderes highway or freeway)are absolutley emptty!!!(apart from one or two cars)
races are good. but you repeat the same one over and over again

the cars are amazing and the modding(or to the not knows CUSTOMIZING or CHANGING YOUR CARS STYLE AND APPEARANCE)is fantasatic with endlesss... etc...BUT no damage detail...
you see me going down the motaorway at 200 mph suddnley i crash into one of the few cars. it goes into slow motion for a second and then well...you emerge with no damage at all ( no wonder they had to put a saftey warning at the beggining...no wonder i always see people flying past my bedroom window at 200 mph and then killing themselves by crasing into so guys ride...expecting to emerge absolutley fine lol lol )

i reccomend not buying this but buying the first midtown madness.at least in that there is more traffic...which means more fun and crashes!"!!(with damage detail)
(just kifdding [lol] buy the game but dont expect much of it i also reccomend buying the first midtown madness.)

3.5 stars- but no replay value unless you go online

First of all the graphics and sound are awesome. When I first started playing this game I thought it was the most fun game I've ever played on xbox. This game starts off so good, but it gets boring toward the end. The difficulty settings are a joke. On EASY, its way too easy. You would almost have to lose on purpose sometimes. On MEDIUM, its a lot harder. I didn't even try it on HARD. So playing on easy you'll pretty much coast through the whole game. The game is still a blast to play but its so easy that there's almost no point. Another thing that bugged me was how my Celica was faster than my Supra, which makes no sense. And there's no S2000. How can a street racing game leave out the Honda S2000? There were other good cars but there's no point in trying them all because the only difference will be how they look. A lot of the cars sound the same and are equally fast. Bottom line is this game is great for a rental, but you shouldn't buy it unless you can go online. Playing against the computer is a joke.

Terrible graphics, Terrible multi-player experience

The Gamestop store in Boston was giving this away for free, and now I know why. This NFS game is a complete letdown. Why, you ask? Here's why:

1. Graphics are third-rate You can go crash into a wall, but your car doesnt show as much as a scratch. So much for believable racing.

2. Multi-player option is a big letdown. For namesake you can play multiplayer, but wait till you play to see how far the game goes. Crashes everytime I play it.

3. Tracks: the music tracks are horrible. Nothing novel.

If you really want a good experience, I would highly recommend Burnout Revenge. Way better than this nonsense.

Late.

Although the game is good I did not like the length of time that it got here. It was 4 days late. Game is awesome.

I played a Finished version of this game.I gotta say it looks good. The driving mechanics are a little different ,but barely noticable. Its also free roaming game like GTA. You get to choose where to go to next and you can challenge other drivers,if you have enough cash for the bet. If you like NFS underground,You'll definately like part 2 . Its not to hard to drive the cars either. Its not like DRIV3R at all.Graphics looked good also. I only played about 20 minutes, but from what I saw its been improved. You definately have the feel of being on the real street underground scene. But I didn't see any cops?? So I guess no tickets. Well this review is based on 20 minutes of gameplay, but I gotta say Looks like a winner. Also Brooke Burke (that hot brunette on wild on E)is your personal narrator in the game. PLEASE NOTE: I played a version of this game before it was realeased. This Game Rocks in more ways than I can even explain. If you like racing games you'll LOVE NFSU2! It Raises The bar on this franchise, I can say honestly part 2 is better than 1st game.
