I really liked this game, the only problem i had with it was the loading times, they seemed a little long. But i loved the graphics and realism. Great game, worth buying in my opinion.

If you like Rally and Off Road racing, this deep game has excellent graphics, tunning before any race, and a good variety of climates, events and tracks in America and Europe.

Less Rally, Somewhat Sporting, More Challenge

I remember when the first Rallisport game came out, and everyone was calling it the second coming of Sega Rally. Well, that game was no Sega Rally (the two greatest rally games ever were Sega Rally for Saturn and Sega Rally 2 for Dreamcast). It was pretty good though. The sequel looks to improve it yet more...

The graphics, physics, and controls for this game are excellent. The cars are cool, and the environmental effects are cool. There are a variety of races, pretty good computer A.I., and lots of things to unlock.

The thing that keeps this series from becoming classic is the same thing that keeps many racers from becoming classic: track design. The tracks are simply by and large not worth visiting over and over again. While the tracks of Gran Turismo were on the whole quite a bit above average, and the tracks of the Sega Rally games were totally brilliant (increasing replay value a thousand-fold), Microsoft's rally racers simply haven't got it. Not yet any way. I'd give it at least a rent though if I were you. The multi-player and arcadey controls and damage model may be enough to keep some people coming back for more.

Tiny framerate issues anyone??

I resently got this game because I was looking for a good rally game for the xbox, and damn it is. Before purchasing this game i read alot of reviews about this game and all of them specified that the game had a rock solid framerate, but In some instances of the game while playing against 3 opponents In ice racing (any track) the framerate slows quite a bit but only when you are close and in front of your opponents. Why din't anyone notice this?? From all the reviews i've read none have reported this small issue, or maybe my xbox is getting old or something...

But beside that this game Is worth buying.

One of my favorite rally games out there, the wrecks are outstanding, plus being able to race other cars on the track makes it nice as well (crashing is fun XD)

I never played any rally game before, and after playing this game I really wonder why. I have played car games since the beginning of them and not played a more fun game. Well Carmageddon was really fun and I have never seen a game as open, but it was very twisted. I have all of the Need for Speed games; the whole series from one and can honestly say this is much better than even Need for Speed Underground. Some of the reviews have said that the cars seem light, and trust me if you hit a dirt road at over 60 on a corner you would swear you were floating too. I have done it at slower speeds on gravel and thought I was going to fly right off the road. I personally think there is too much traction if anything in this game. I mean really have you ever hit a corner on ice and was able to hit the emergency brake and gas and get traction? I have hit corners in real life at 40 mph and slid a car sideways on dry cement... It's a scary feeling, and that is why I really enjoy the game. Finally a game you can really drive the heck out of, and slide around corners in a way that really feels real. Most games I have played you hit a corner, bounce off a wall, or tree, or some invisible line and keep on going. In this game your car rolls, slides, drops off cliffs, and even can go off the road and hit a tree. Sometimes you find yourself in the air and the road is drifting away from you.

Like I said sometimes I feel like there is too much traction. If there is a hairpin corner coming up you can hit the brakes on dirt road and stop in an instant. Nice for when your moving too fast and need to stop, but fake in my mind. Still it's the most enjoyable driving game I have ever played, and I am hooked. Some of the corners do seem blind when you go into them, but I guess that's more like life. The people that complain about those corners not being visible should go drive 100 mph and see how many corners they can see (not really just making a point). The damage is also somewhat fake sorry for saying it, but I dropped off a cliff and was still able to drive. After you play it for a while though you start to like how some things are not real. I would hate to hit a tree and have my radiator blow a hole and not be able to finish a race. It's nice that you can hit the brakes on dirt and stop in an instant for when those corners are not exactly what the guy says. So all in all I think it's the best driving game I have played.

Personally though I would prefer if there was only one heads up display and it was the track corners coming up. The guy talking can get somewhat confusing when you have more than three things on the track ahead. I know they are trying to make it more like rally racing though and it does keep you on your toes. I am going to try to switch it to advanced mode latter, which gives you a number for the degree of the corner. I might like it better then, because sometimes you find that the information he gives you really doesn't say enough about the degree of the corner.

After all is said, this game really makes me wonder what the future of driving games will be like when they are this good now. It would be nice to be able to add parts and have more cars, but for the game is I am completely hooked.

RallySport1 better than RallySport2

The driving and scenes are more realistic on RalliSport2, but it's not as much fun as RalliSport1. RalliSport1 gives you better courses and better cars to begin with. It also seems like RalliSport2 takes a long time to download...more so than RalliSport1.

Good. Could've been better

The graphics are jaw-dropping beautiful. The level design is top-notch! Like big jumps? Some of the jumps in this game will have you seriously airborne. Like hairpin turns? They're here in bounty. Like ice racing? You'll be sliding all over the track!

The new in-car camera is a wonderful addition. When it is raining, you'll see the windshield wipers going back and forth and even streaking! Top-notch!

The sound is decent, but not great. Before the races begin, all the cars sound exactly the same, however. Meh. Custom soundtracks are supported, as usual.

The single-player campaign is a lot of fun with plenty of tracks and new cars to unlock.

Now, the biggie: online!

This was the deciding factor for me in getting this game. Online is where it's at with racers. I was really excited to throw this in and give it a spin online.

BUT! Not so fast (no pun intended)...

When racing with 5 or more people, you can only talk to the person in front and behind you. Um, excuse me? WHAT?! This is ridiculous! The game supports up to 12 (I think) people racing at the same time. With that many racing at once, sure, limit who you can talk to, but 5? Come on!

Then you have the horrendously bright wireframe cars that you get when you turn collisions off online. The wireframe cars (your opponents online) are so bright that I have to hang back abit so they'll get on down the road where I can see what's going on in front of me. Once again: WHAT?!

But overall, it is still a pleasant experience both on and offline, because it is what it is: an excellent and beautiful rally racer.

Best Racing Game on XBox!

This has to be the single greatest racing game ever. I am a huge fan of Project Gotham 2, which before this came out held my title of best ever. This game blows it out of the water. Even if you are not a rally fan you will love this game. There are 5 different styles of racing in this game, all of which are available for online play with the corresponding cars. The controls for the game are pretty much identical to PGR2, which makes it easy to learn for all PGR2 vets. But what sets this apart is the crashes. Normally I get angry when I crash, but in this game (much like NASCAR) the crashes are half the fun. Because of the superior graphics, yor car can go from mint to junk heap before your eyes. Parts fly off, your windsheild and windows will blow out, generally it looks like what would happen if you actually rolled a car at 100mph except for no blood. Heck, you can even take out the bystanders if you really mess up. But seriously, my review probably doesn't do the game justice, buy it you won't be disapointed.
