this is one good star trek game that has a good trek feeling to it.but it has one problem it is really hard even when it is set on EASY. On a second thought when you ignroe the funky graphics its an ok game but not the best.

TREK FANS ONLY!

What can I say as a part time/non-hard core gamer about STSU? Well, it's sort of dull and kind of easy. There aren't a really great variety of ships to use at any given time. Having the authentic voices of original series cast members helps and the graphics for PS2 and X-Box are pretty decent. Personally, it gives me some satisfaction as a 29 year Trekkie (since I was 4..that dates me...), I get a kick out of piloting the Klingon Bird of Prey against larger Starfleet ships like the Miranda and Constitution classes. Overall, the game will be a snore-fest for non STAR TREK fans, a little fun for people who like it and some good, distracting fun for those of us who live, eat and breathe STAR TREK.

Another Disappointed Fan

This game had everything going for it, even Walter and George reprising their roles as Sulu and Chekov, but the game just falls flat. The levels are repetitive and very difficult, almost impossible even with invinciblity as another reviewer here said. The game gets old fast, the game play is just the same thing every level.

This game is also very dull, I tried to play this game twice and I always stop by the fourth level. The story itself seems messed up since the Excelsior crew transforms into their mirror characters in the game when in the real mirror universe in Trek, there is already someone in an alternate universe that looks like you but acts different. The game just feels really slapped together and made for gaming pros because the game is HARD. That can't be said enough.

Crappy

Some of the levels are seemingly impossible. Even with cheats like infinite shields, the game is insanely hard. In one of the levels you have a couple minutes to destroy an insane amount of ships. Don't waist your time unless you are a serious trekkie and really good with this type of game.

Better Than Nothing

Located in the "Mirror Universe" of Star Trek TOS, the game features the voices of George Takei and Walter Koenig. Sadly, the game is intended for a very skilled kind of player, used to dogfights. This, and the lack of proper controls make this game a hard one to master. The graphics are average, below the ones we're used to see in PC games of the ST franchise. However, it's enjoyable, and the difficulty to finish every mission gives a sense of real achievement every time one is completed.

Absolutely Dissapointed

What is this? Maybe it's just me, but I thought I was a pretty good gamer, I normally beat all my games, mostly in the first week easy. But, after or during the 5th mission I flat out couldn't beat it. After 5 or 6 tries at 30 minutes a pop, I gave up. This could be quite possible the worst gaming experience I have ever had.

Not bad, not bad at all

Okay

So this isn't Halo, but it isn't half bad, I bought it on an impulse, I was really going for a sports game, but it turned to be a good desicion, Sulu can be annoying but all in all the action isn't bad, and for people who actually like Star Trek it is fun. I like the Wraith fighters, and the unpredictable objectives.
All in all it ain't bad.
Thx

I found that this game was very enjoyable. It was original in the world of star trek. The controlls could have been better but were acceptable. It also could have benifited from a co-op mode, but overall it was a great game.

Whoa what a mark on Star Trek gaming

Im not really sure what this drivel is. This has to be the worst concept for a game I have ever seen. There is no way, a fan of Star Trek developed this game. Had to be some goofball who enjoys pitiful flight simulators. Stay away from this title.

this game totally sucks

what does this game have to do with Star Trek??? the scenario is totally contrived, and even if it weren't the game play is horrible
