Here is some Info on this game:

-Dozens of different paint jobs and decorations for each vehicle.
-Choose from dozens of different paint jobs and decorations for each vehicle, with additional unlockable features.
-Recreate the carnage in an exciting replay/highlights system.

This game is one of the most underplayed game i have ever seen for the Xbox. This game is awesome in almost every way!
The Controls are easy to figure out, Easy for beginners.

The soundtrack on this game is [not good], But you can rip your own music from the Xbox and put it on this, so you dont have to listen to this...soundtrack.

Cars and tracks are awesome in graphic detail. Your car reflects the sun on it, If you hit someone you will damage his car and slightly damage your car from impact. So much damage in this game.

Some sounds in this game could be better(Alot of Engines sound the same, Even though they should not...

A lot of people I have seen don't give this game the chance it deserves. While it IS the traditional demolition derby game, it has quite a few twists and bonuses. What sold it for me, for example, was the ability to use custom soundtracks off of your Xbox's hard drive. Plus extra multiplayer modes like Hunter, where somebody is "it" and you have to crash into them to get points. There are many cars and many levels, and the custom soundtrack option only lengthens this game's replayableness. The only thing it seems to be lacking, though not hurting from, is a CREATE-A-CAR mode or PAINT-A-CAR mode. Hopefully a sequel to this game will appear someday with XBOX live capabilities.

This is a very entertaining game that can be played by up to 4 players simulaneously. The more players the better! This is a "pick up and play" game which anyone (from grandma to grandson) can have a great time playing. While it is true the single player career is annoying and almost impossible at times, I was able to complete it without too much trouble and frustration. The career mode opens up some fun tracks and cars which make the multiplayer gaming more fun. Really a great value, one that I will keep.

I rate this as an average game. That is only becuase there are actually two very different types of games here.
One type of game is one of the worst console games that I have ever played. That is when you play this game in the single player mode. Gameplay is just awefull (and I need to stress that awefullness). It has got to be one of the most boring single player games out there for the xbox.

Multiplayer on this game is excellent however. I host xbox parties all the time and this is allways on the "request" list. However, dont take the point system to heart. The scoring system for this game is all jacked up. You can get more points from endlessly doing flips and spins over jumps than actually hitting people. If you have lots of friends, buy this game for the novelty of it. If your a smelly underling that sits in their room all day and night by themselves playing xbox games, stay away from this one. It will force you to leave your cage.

Just Like Sex, not any fun when your alone

If you have friends, which some of us don't, this may be one of the funnest multiplayer games out on the xbox. Unlike racing games you actually get to pound the heck out of other people instead of just trying to beat them around the track in some boring circle race. Don't get me wrong though, the career mode isn't the greatest. In fact some of the challenges are just overly frustrating and tedious. It's too bad they couldn't get any real licensed cars also. For Example one of the cars they have is a "CALARO" that looks an awful lot like a CAMARO but oh well. SO all in all, if you don't have any friends (and be honest with yourself if you don't) then stay away from this game. But if you do have friends (or a 5 yr old girl who seems strangely better at this game than your humble reviewer) pick it up since this game is fairly inexpensive even when it is brand new.

Rent Before Buying

You may be thinking, "This is a good price for an Xbox game". Well think again, because renting this game is an even better price.

You'll get tired of the one player Career mode rather quickly. Some levels are a breeze to get through, and some are a pain and are just plain stupid (like hitting all the crates without hitting any of the glowing bowling pins). As soon as you beat the levels, you won't go back to replay them and will only be itching for some multiplayer action. Multiplayer is definetely fun and is the only thing worth owning the game for.

Totaled! does take advantage of your Xbox soundtracks so you don't have to listen to their horrible songs.

Bottom line: Rent it to beat the levels, or buy it to play with your friends.

the game play is ok, but the game will lock up doing loading about 80% of the time I have a replacement on the way so I will have to see if it works better

The gameplay is excellent the graphics are good, there are a lot of different styles of cars to chose from and many different courses and objectives. Its not just demolition derby its also bus jumping and stunt driving. QUality game...BUY IT.

I hope you like the word "loading," 'cause you'll see it A LOT when you play this game; some of the missions last as long or even less than the load times, which is inexcusably cruel ...

As for the rest of the game:

Graphics: a mixed bag - while the car models are stylish and smooth, the maps are the exact opposite: the detail is low, objects appear extremely clustered from far distances, and the lighting is poor; the vehicles are smooth with plenty of bright, vibrant colors and good shading, but they are plagued by aliasing when viewed from a distance.

Sound: the soundtrack is one of the games bright spots; the options menu allows you to choose from several different styles of music: racing tunes, fighting mix, rap attack, electrance, alt rock, and jazz - while jazz doesn't seem like an appropriate choice of music while cars are exploding, you may appreciate the variety of jams. The sound effects are pretty basic: the cars sound like muscle cars, the explosions go boom, the commentary sounds are rarely used, and the engines rev like it should; while they aren't of the highest quality, they do fit the requirements of their particular uses.

Gameplay: the point of the game is to smash and bash the competition before they do the same to you; your car is given a life bar (which only lowers when a car hits you, not when you hit it) and plenty of nitro boosts to battle the competition...as your life bar gets lower, car doors, hoods, and other parts start to fly off until you're left with a pile of smoking [junk] on wheels. With each hit you initiate on the enemy, you are awarded a certain amount of points, depending on the area of collision and the manner in which is it executed (the simplicity of the game - and the sadistically long load times - makes it more boring than one would have hoped, but it does provide a few minutes of heated arcade action...
