i've played battle realms before and it's an awsome game, but when i got this pack i thought that it included the original and the expansion. with this you only get the expansion so you wont be able to play it without the original game, which is a little difficult to find. i can only find 6 games and that on amazon and they are all used. but overall this is a great game but make sure you have the original battle realms before you get this one.

Few games make their consumer base want to actually shell out more money for a new version of it...this is one is definitely worth every penny I paid for it. I have already pre-ordered it and now I am counting down days until i have it in my mailbox...oh joy oh joy! Can I sleep until November? What can I possibly play until my expansion pack is released.

I mean come on! The expansion comes with the original game CD for all you newbies out there to see where it all came from, and where the new version of it is taking it. As CorpsE stated, this game is severely riddled with things the RTS genre has never seen. Tired of building a new building every time you want a new unit? Can your RTS take your tier one unit and turn it into a tier two or three? Well this one can, starting out by sending a peasant to a tavern (for serpent clan) to become a swordsman, send that swordsman to the archery range and get a crossbow wielding, scythe carrying Bandit. Send him to the Alchemist hut and get a RONIN....ok, how cool is that? It's like a REAL army where you send a basic soldier to sniper school and get a sniper. Only here you can send the same nit to three or more schools (as in the expansion pack) and get some seriously tough to crack units terrorizing your opponents.

So says bm289

Worth every penny.

Battle Realms is one of the best RTS game I have ever played. The best way I can describe Battle Realms is like a game of chess where both players are moving pieces at the same time. You must be able to counter what units your opponent is using and at the same time try to get a leg up on the opposition by using Units, Battle Gear (magic that is bought in buildings) and Terrain.
The game is graphically stunning, the sound is superb, and the gameplay is unbelieveably addictive. Multiplayer is where the game really shines. I have spent countless hours playing and learning each clans(there are 4) intricate strengths and weaknesses.
With 12 new units being added to the expansion pack AND the fact that new players will be able to pick up both original and the expansion pack in one bundle for [$$] You owe it to yourself to try out this deep, highly entertaining RTS game.
