Acceptable...

First of all, let me tell you I love comic books(I'm more of DC fan, though)! This game is okay. It can get extremely repetitive and that is the most major flaw of this game. Another flaw would be the difficulty. It's waaay too easy! I have beaten this game twice already (and I did it in one weekend)! The graphics are okay and the voice acting is pretty cheesy. The best thing about the game are the extras. You have a bunch of comic books in the game and you have a lot of sweet costumes (and characters) to play as. Sadly, there really is no need to play with these costumes or characters because the story mode is pretty pointless. The final negative thing is there is no level select!!!! It drives me crazy how a game that is not open-world (oh by the way, this game should've been open world.. think about it) cannot have a level select. There is no excuse. Other than the things I mentioned, this game is okay. Acceptable, as the title says.

we purchased this for our grandson because 1. he loved the movie 2. flaming skulls, zombies and motorcycles are a huge interest for this 9 year old. his 6 year old brother has done well on most of the levels but it is not designed for his age group because a more advanced skill in reading is required to advance in the game. but they both say it is one of their favorite games so far.

My 7 year old son loves this game. He saw the movie and thinks the game's special effects are great.
Fast moving action and lots of fighting.
Please make sure that your your child does not play this game for longer than 1 hour per day. The fast moving pace and fighting can become very addictive.

ghost rider for gba

Ghost Rider for the gameboy advance is an excellent game for the gba.
I think that the graphics for it are the best I have seen for a hand-
held. It is a side-scroller and that is what makes it so much fun.
I really thought that the music was really cool for the game. When
you ride your motorcycle it is 3-d graphics and it is the better
part of the game. The boss battles are just a little to easy while
some levels are difficult. When you have beaten the game, you can
go back and try and get 100% on each level. You can even uprade your
powers. Ghost Rider is a great game for the Gameboy advance with its
extrordinary sound and graphics and replay value which is very high.

Really fun with great extra features.

ghost rider is a spin-off of god of war but is also its own game in its own right. the game has its own story written by authentic marvel-comic writers. the gameplay is also enjoyable. you can execute air attack and swift attack as well as the famous penance-stare. the story takes place after the movie and follows. blackheart is out for hell-on-earth yet again and this time he has his fathers help. its up to you to ride the streets of hell and save mankind from the tortures of hell.

I grew up reading comics and Ghost Rider was one of my favorites. I enjoyed the movie so when I noticed the game I had to buy it.

Pros: It has good graphics and a great sound track (turn up the bass boost on your sub-woofer) and is fast paced.

Cons: There is not much variance between levels and seems too short.

Very fun game

This is an EXTREMELY fun game. The graphics are fantastic, and the variety between attacking on foot and riding the motorcycle is perfect. I think my only complaint is that some of the demons you fight get a bit monotonous after a while, but it is still a lot of fun and much better than a lot of similar games out there. I've heard others complain that this game is too similar to some others but, as I haven't played those others, all I know is that this game is just visually cool and simply a lot of fun to play. Highly recommended.

This is a great game. Just enough challenge in levels and mind bending motorcycle challenges.

Vengeance Flows Through Me!

Normally, games based on movies tend to be a bit lacking, but Marvel does tend to do a decent job with their's (The first "Hulk" being the exception there). Ghost Rider falls into that niche of being decent, and maybe even a bit of a fun game.

The game starts off after the movie, with Johnny using his powers for good, and refusing to be Mephistopheles' little errand boy. But the Rider is dragged into Hell, and is told that he's the only one that could prevent Armageddon and send an army of rogue demons back to Hell. Once his girlfriend, Roxanne, is threatened, Ghost Rider reluctantly hunts down the demons and prevent the end of everything.

The game borrows a lot of elements from games like God of War and Devil May Cry. Tends to remind me of Evil Dead: Regeneration, also. Once you get all the moves unlocked, the fighting becomes the highlight of the game. The combos can be easily triggered, and it's fun to see Ghost Rider use the variety of finishing moves for the elemental demons, and using his signature weapons and abilities (His chains, the Hellfire Shotgun, and the Penance Stare). And the Boss battles, I thought, were very challenging (for some reason, I really enjoyed fighting against Scarecrow). Plus, one of the unlockables has you playing the entire game as Blade. That's so damn cool!

The game does fall short in a few areas, too. The motorcycle stages can be a lot of fun, but at times hard to control. And another thing. The game... can be finished in 3 and half hours. I bought the game last night and started playing it this afternoon and I finished a half hour ago. Sure, there are additional characters (Blade, Vengeance, Ghost Rider 2099), but I don't know if that would make the game have that much higher a replay value. And the game's cinematics were basically comic frames, no CGI movies.

One thing annoyed me little, one of the unlockables had pics from the movie, but one guy was absent. No pics of Nicolas Cage as Johnny Blaze, and none of Ghost Rider. Why? I mean, he is the star of the movie, right?

Overall, I'd say the game makes a terrific rental, but only hard core fans of the comic, movie, and maybe just Marvel alltogether should buy it. The game is fun, even if it felt a bit rushed.
