I just got the Gameboy Advance and wanted to purchase a few games for variety. I bought this game because of reviews given. I'll admit the game has it's cute points, is easy to learn, but to sum up in one word it is BORING. There are many other puzzler games that I have liked in the past and this game does not measure up.

This game is just another boring puzzle game. If you want a good puzzle game go get tetris or yoshi's cookie. Those are the classics(and best).

If you are color blinded this is not a game for you! This game is based on matching up spuds with their mate before you get to the end of the level. Now their mate is the same color they are so you have to make sure you put blue with blue and green with green etc. If you like puzzle games pick Chuchu Rocket! Not Hot Potato!

strange (but fun) little game

Chances are, if you liked (or still like) Tetris, then you will enjoy Hot Potato on the Gameboy Advance. The storyline is unique to say the least, the action/gameplay is fast-paced, and the graphics are pretty good. Also, the game becomes very challenging as you advance through the levels.

The controls work well on the GBA, and it is my guess that most gamers will have them down in just a few games, if not sooner.

This game is basically a puzzle game with quite a bit of action, in the sense that you are actually "shooting" potatos up the screen. Like I said, this game is out of left field.

Strange, but definitely fun. Now that the retail has dropped quite a bit on this title I would pick it up.

A Nice Touch

Ths Hot Potato game is not for everyone. It is simple in the pick up. The graphics are not Castlevania, and the sound isn't star wars. But what it lacks in these items it makes up for in shear fun. The little changes from most puzzlers like the forced moving and the changing enviorment make this worth the money for the game. Not only that but the little bonuses like freeing point spaces in order for more points and the occasional bat potato make the game a gem just to watch and laugh at. If your looking for graphics go else where, if your looking for fun this may be the game for you.

Hot Potato wins the award for most unique game on the market right now; it is also fun to play as well. The game is a fast-paced arcade style puzzle game---kinda like a souped-up Tetris. I wasn't much of a tetris fan back in the day, but this game goes far beyond what that one had to offer. My only complaint is the game's pricetag...it is at the 40 bucks level. Kinda high for a game that revolves around firing potatoes up the screen.

Originality

How original can you get? I am not much of a fan of puzzle games, but when I played this game at Toys R Us, I couldn't put the thing down and I spent 45min playing this game. This for me was a must have, so I pre-ordered it. First thing I did. I have 3 rules that make a game great. I grade them on the 3 rules Rule#1: Originality. How original is this, interstellar spuds, mathcing them up with their girlfriends, since when would you think that up?. rule#2 Gameplay. This is a prime example. It's basic gameplay, and not complex. Rule #3. Graphic. It depends for some people on graphics. Personnaly, since this is no N64, I think they done good. Buying this would be a smart idea if you are lookin for your kid to stretch their brains a little, it ain't no phonics game, but thats what makes this a great game P.S. Alex Trebeck doesn't know what the heck he's talkin' 'bout.

Pass the potato please!

I enjoyed this game very much. I think you will too. I like the concept of the game. This game is challenging but not impossible. It is one of those games you just can't put down! It has a lot of levels so you can't beat it in one day but not so many it gets borring. I like the maze part in this game. It makes you think.(but not to much)Overall this is my favorite gameboy advanced game so far.

Hot Potatoe is one of the most addictive games that i have ever played. The idea of the game is round up the potatoes, hence clearing the screen. You are added in this by a range of power ups and multipliers that improve your score. The game might seem dodgy by my explaination but if you buy this game you will understand what im on about. Top Game!
