I bought Toontown for my 12 year-old nephew and it is the ONLY thing (other than basketball) that has gotten him away from the XBox! He loves it!

Great MMO for kids

this game is a lot of fun, and will keep the kids occupied for a few weeks, but it starts to get VERY VERY repetitive, and they lose interest. I like the chat systems, Disney gets kudos for that, it's a very safe environment for kids. But like I said...it gets repetitive.

I love toontown!

I love toontown!!!! It is the best online multiplayer game!!! Toontown is a game where you use gags like the birthday cake, TNT, and grand piano to defeat evil cogs. Rescue buildings to get a star above your toon's name. You can play with kids internationally, and you can chat with your real life friends. I have a friend who's dad made this, so we are secret friends. I love toontown!!!!!!

Not for Dial-up internet

My mom got me this for my birthday 2 years ago because I had played it at a friend's house and loved it. I had Dial-up internet then (now I have high-speed, hooray!). Well I entered the code, set up my account and tried playing. All it did was give me a white screen. I tried again. Another white screen. I repeated the process for half an hour or so and every time it gave me a white screen. I sent 3 e-mails to tech support and I don't think they answered any of them. That's $[...] dollars down the drain.
A review of Toontown itself: As I have said before, I have played this at my friend's house because she has a subscription. It gets old after a while. Run around, fight cogs, run some more, fight more cogs, play some lame mini-games, fight some cogs, that's about it. Another really frustrating thing about this game is that almost everytime you are fighting a cog with somebody, they will abandon you. If you call your pet thing (or whatever the heck it's called) it will abandon you to, so don't count on that. And the so call "sophisticated" word filter, is not very effective. My friend and I experimented with that by saying words like stupid, dumb, crap, and many others and I think all of them got through (we didn't do really bad ones though). If you want a creative way to waste money and bore yourself to death, buy this game, if not, don't bother.

A Great Deal of Innocent Fun & Games

A great time can be had in Toontown Online. Violence is in the form of silly slapstick gags like squirtguns and pies, and kids learn the value of teamwork and help eachother during a challenge. Instead of a greed factor too prevalent in online communities, obtaining "currency" is not only fun (you fish or play games, alone or with others), your gain is no one else's loss. The amassing of jellybeans is for a purpose: to improve the quality of life on your property or to replenish your gag supply. The worlds are colorful, the animation great. Every shop sign is an amusing pun. It's fairly safe as there are only pre-made phrases to use on folks you only know in Toontown; people who know eachother outside Toontown can set up to type their own chat. It is worth the cost, but keep in mind that not only can you sometimes get the disk for less than the suggested price, a year's subscription brings the monthly cost way down.

I mostly report, Lawbot hq seems to be spotted right on polar place, the new street in the brggh, we should need to report to flippy in the toon hall, i have 6 active toons, (1 toon,) and level 100 toons should be able too handle off the cogs and sellbot HQ,Cashbot HQ,Lawbot HQ. me,ryan, i've been trying to handle off the cogs, and i have defeated the most cogs of any type, i need 996 skill points, because, my skill points in each battle said that i need 2000 skill points. but i have acess to the sound, lure, throw and squirt gag tracks. it seems like the cogs are teleporting from place to place. we need to find out how they did that. cogs must be putting spells on toons to stay freezed forever.i've been getting hundreds and hundreds of trading cards. too much of this trouble in toontown, it looks like my temper always gets out of hand.It should calm down because we need to make a plan before lawbot hq is built again. there should be a toontown players guide. i've read the player's guide a hundred times, but i don't ever get better.
