The marketing blitz for the Hulk Move has been phenomonal. Cereals, magazines, toys, and of course computer games. The Hulk actually is fairly good, with a balance between Hulk smashing and Bruce Banner puzzle solving.

You know the story. Smart scientist. Strange mutation. Turns into fury-filled Hulk monster. So the game goes back and forth between Bruce using his mind, and Hulk using his fists.

Both could have been really great, and there were hints of potential there. A neat number-swapping code breaking puzzle seems fascinating at first, but when you realize that it's just a matter of sliding numbers from right to left, the challenge vanishes rather quickly. The stealth usually involves crouching and standing behind boxes - a far cry from Splinter Cell.

On the hulk side, the destructable environment is neat and brings to mind the Matrix and Red Faction games. But the Hulk's attacks get boring VERY quickly. Every soldier takes a punch-punch-punch and goes down. Don't you think one punch would flatten them? His remaining attacks aren't much better. So you wade through a pile of people. Punch punch punch. Pick up a box, smash. Punch Punch Punch.

There are moments that are sort of cool. You see a pipe - grab it - now water sprays out and you use the pipe to baseball-bat your enemies. But those moments are few and far between as you plod from room to room just bashing your way through. At least in other mindless-bashing games like Diablo you had a wide variety of weapons and armor and other skills that were constantly increasing. With the Hulk, there's just him and his green fists.

Good for a weekend rental, or for casual gameplay. But even in the "mindless bashing" category I can think of many other games I'd rather pick up for a few hours to release aggression.

If you are into the Hulk then you will enjoy this game. Smashing, crashing and wreaking havoc on environments, dogs, larger enemies and guards is alot of fun. The storyline is average but the creators have captued the sprirt and look of the more recent film, mixed it with a good level of comic book scenerios and cel-shaded the entire mix to please those green loving individuals.

However, non-Hulk fans and casual gamers beware. This game is repative, frustratingly annoying as Banner and short in length.
I found the Hulk parts to be amuzing and semi-engaging. The first few hours of crashing and breaking everything was fun but soon narrowed itself down to " another room, more to smash yawn".

The storyline is good but predictable and there are no real surprises here.

The much talked about Banner sections ARE annoying and break up the momentum felt playing the Hulk in previous levels. Banner uses really simple stealth tactics and no matter how good you are there is no way you will get through these levels in one go. The AI seems super sensative in these areas and it doesnt take much to make one guard aware of yah presence and then you will have many running in your direction. When this happens don't both, just let them kill yah cause Banner has the weakest fighting system i have ever encountered. Your punches are weak and often miss as you are surrounded by enemies. I mean even the scientist can kick you into the next world. Don't get me wrong, i have no issues with hard stealth action, (Splinter Cell was great and challenging), but these give you no chance are ill conceived as part of the gameplay. This to me seems like sloppy development. You go for being a strong bone crushing green menace with a above average fighting system to a small, weak loser that can't battle his way out of fight with a Backstreet Boy, (no there are no Backstreet Boys in the game but wouldn't it have been cool to pick one up and swing him through a window).

The overall game is not that lengthy nor has an epic feel as described in other reviews. This epic feel may be due to the many restarts for the Banner sections, which may give the game a more lengthy feel that what is actually there.

The first time i played this it took me about 12 hours over two nights. The second i played with cheats and got through it in about 6 hours. Overall, not a lengthy game and i only played it again cause i was curious to how the cheats would assist me in the game. It helped in getting through the game quicker but it was still repative and dare i say it a bit boring.

The only real benefit to the cheats is that you can get through the Banner sections quicker though even if you get seen with cheats it takes some time to finally knock out all the guards surrounding you by doing flips and punches. Also i noticed that in some levels all doors will lock on you when you are spotted, so forget about running through a door to get away. You are stuck there for the long haul, so FIGHTING is yah only way to unlock the doors.Even with cheats this becomes frustrating because guards are relentless and will butt u with the butt of there rifle. It still quite difficult to punch as well cause the guards move about frantically. Once again i don't mind a challenging fight but these are just frustrating and really poorly excuted. The Banner section really needed more work done on it and really kills what is a fun average smash em.

So, in conclusion, unless your a die hard hulk fan i'd rent the game over a weekend and gey yah moneys worth. There are just too many faults, short storyline and no repeat value to the game. You play it once your done. There are much better fight games out there that have environment crumple, excellent controls and good storylines to waste yah time on than this. Granted the fluro Hulk looks good and for some reason the green colour peaked my interest but what we have here is another average movie tie in that really needs some re-working...

Rent it !!!!!!

I have been reading the Hulk comic book for many years. So as soon as this game came out, I bought it. Parts of this game are great and parts are very bad. A quick break down is when you play the Hulk, the game is fun. When you play Banner, it sucks!!!! Let me give you a reason for this. When you are the hulk, you get to destroy everything, beat people up and do all the joys of being the Hulk. But when you are Banner, you have to watch who you walk next to. No fighting with him, just walking around and doing easy puszzles. The level I'm on now has you walking around as Banner to get two chemicals. But you cannot walk too close to any soilders, which is near impossiable due to the fixed camrea that the game has. So in short, you could walk around the corner and BAM a soilder sees you before you see them. So I ask, How are you to aviod what you cannot see??? 3 of 5 stars and rent do not buy it.

This game is one the most basic action games there is. But some people may like that. I did for a while and most people will. The boss fights are very straightforward and the game is pretty easy (except for the stealth missions). The physics are very good and the graphics are different but still good. The smashing missions are cool but the stealth missions suck... bad. the voice acting is decent but the music really gets annoying. The controls are easy to just pick up and play. Although all these great features a huge drawback is that the game is extremely short and has pretty little replay value. I would just suggest a rental thats the only way you'll get your money's worth.

Let's get the two worst things about this game out of the way. The hulk should get rid of David Banner if some super fairy ever comes along offering the wish be fulfilled. The Hulk game is no different. They should have scrapped the banner levels and just shipped a short game. It would have got much better reviews. The banner levels are only terrible in that they are HARD, and they stop you from doing what the rest of the game excels at: smashing things and people as the hulk. Man oh Mickey playing as the Hulk is better than Rock n Roll. Smash walls, people, cars, pillars and everything in sight. This part of the game is awesome. Unfortunately the makers of the game must have known this and so they have you doing it again and again and again. This gets a little monotonous. Luckily it is so much fun that it is not too big of a problem.

Bottom Line: Is it fun? Oh man is it. If you have some love for the green guy, get the game. But, only do so if you can get codes to completely skip the terrible Banner levels. Will I keep it? Tempting, but no. As fun as the hulk levels are they get monotonous. Is it for kids? If you're ok with kids smashing and bashing people the controls are simple enough.

Good: Solid Graphics, nice gameplay, great cheat codes, more gamma characters.
Bad: Sometimes the Hulk appears seethrough or transparent,no backround music playing, Lacks realism from movie and not consistant with movie.
This game has many positives. Although it has many negatives as well. This game appealed to me because of the Hulk smashing things and kicking some a**. The new gamma creatures are strong and difficult to kill which makes you strive for a better game. The gamma created dogs, three in the movie, are numerous and attack in groups of 3. This was a real letdown considering there were only a total of 3 dogs in the movie.
Playing gets tiresome towards the end a little bit of music could have done this game wonders. After the game is done you just put it down and forget about it. There is not much extra to do than repeat the levels.
All in all if you dont think you will get tired of the smashing and smashing and killing and smashing then get this game, or if you are a Hulk fanatic.

Hulk=Fun, Banner=Drag

I will admit, playing this game as the Hulk is pure fun. You get to smash nearly everything in your path. Puny humans are no match for the Hulk when he is really p.o'ed. BUT, you also have to play as Bruce Banner in stealth missions and he is just a drag. Sneaking around, whining and just being useless. It's irritating to say the least. If one little thing happens to him, he hulks out and it's back to the start of the level for you. Still, the game is better than I thought it would be and the levels you play as the Hulk make up for the whiney cry-baby Banner. I would suggest you rent it first to see if it's right for you.

Game play is a continuation of the events that take place after the movie. The graphics are great, the attacks are just incredible with easy control (but does get repetitive), and the sound effects are great. The environment in the levels using the Hulk's persona are extremely destructable and can be used to say smash a squad of soldiers with a car or rip a pipe off the wall and beat a monster to death. Levels using Banner are based more on stealth and thought, provides a great change of pace during game play (but very, very frustrating). Cut-scene movies are great and very entertaining. However, the ending does not flow well with the game's story and was a real let down. I recommend renting before buying on this one.

This game is so much fun
u can grab troops and throw them off cliffs, at helicopters, or other troopers
i picked up this guy and threw him at some person with and electric sheild. He bounced off and was electricuted
Even though playing banner is a little difficult u have to be stealthy and swift in order to complete the level.
I personally liked being the hulk because it is like you cant die and u have the ability to crush everything.
When they say what u can see u can smash, they mean it.
u have a wide variety of weapons from yor fists, to pipes, to cars.
This game rating on a 1-10 scale is a 20
