Take charge of one of three factions - Crusaders, Russians, or Mongolians - as you vie for dominance in 13th century Eurasia in The Golden Horde. The 3 forces each have a set of special bonuses. You can use things such as ice in battles on rivers and lakes, and use of explosives during sieges. There are also 3 full-fledged campaigns, as well as a number of scenarios portraying historical battles. Those can be played by LAN or through the Internet. With sophisticated RPG elements, individual Heroes, stunning graphics and easy controls, The Golden Horde offers the perfect exotic setting for a real-time strategy game in the early middle ages of Europe and Asia.

Season, weather conditions and landscape play a big role, which could help a weaker side defeat a stronger enemy There are seas and lakes, rivers and swamps, adding a new dimension to the battlefield tactics A large number of traps are available, as well as multiple ways to use them. Those include the use of explosives and fire against enemy fortifications Supports Chrome, Bump mappings, Specular, Shadow map. Buildings, walls, trees etc. are governed by true-to-life physics. So a forest fire can destroy a big troop, and falling walls crush and bury siege towers
