A Good Simfarm report

5 Rating: 5, Useful: 10 / 11

Simfarm is a game where you're challenged to farm. At first you don't get it but then when you figure it out it's realy good. I wouldn't suggest this to action-loving kids.

Sim Farm- classic or ...?

Sim farm...
this primitive sim game started the whole sim-craze that eventually left us with the amazingly made sims and other new games....
Please keep in mind, you cannot compare the sims with sim farm... I will tell you right now, there is no comparision.
Of course every aspect of the sims is made perfectly, perfect graphics, perfect sound, every bug worked out, to provide the user with a smooth and fun experience.... but sim farm is much different. This game was made about thirteen years earlier. It's easy to learn, very simple, and limited. The graphics [are bad], the music's awful... but it's great fun.
If you have played this game before, earlier in your life, and you would like to play sim farm for sake of old memories or to add onto your sims collection... i strongly reccomend it.
But if you are an average gamer and the most important feature of the games you play are amazing graphics, difficult controls, and tough competition... I would reccomend leaving this game behind and going for something along the lines of The Sims, Railroad Tycoon, Zoo Tycoon, Age of Empires, or Medal of Honor, my personal favorite.

A resonably good game.

I found this game a good amount of fun, despite the fact that thare are no directions. You can do everything from planting crops to over running the city with animals. This game is played as you would Sim City. If you have already read the other reveiws, and heard that thare are no codes or cheats for this game, that is a lie. Try codes.ign.com. No www. They have codes for hundreds of games. I bought this game to be given the challenge of figuring out how to play this game. It was very easy.

It is a Sim Classic

I first had this game in 1991 or so - in the DOS version. Since I am a "Sim" fan - I had to buy it again to complete my collection. I love the game for relaxation from action and mission-oriented ones. Graphics are primitive but consider what 1991 was like. No instructions - so click on everything - use the "spyglass" on everything. Your equipment ages - check the "sell" box to know when it is POOR. Dig ditches to make your fields drier. Use the "pricing graph chart" to know when to sell your crops. Check your fields monthly. Put "auto-buy" option on and just click the chemical needed directly into your "field window". And enjoy the game. It is fun just trying to increase the size of your farm.

I've seen better, but I looked hard

This game is great, but it is not a action game. This game can be fun, educational, and entertianing, but only if you like games like Sim City. The graphics are the only thing that made me reduce the rating. The graphics could have been a lot better. The gameplay is good, and the controls are easy to learn if you can figure out that clicking something can make stuff happen. The sound isn't that good, but noise isn't needed to enhance gameplay. In total, this game is good, fun, and a great bargian.

Very boring and bad graphics

I was really looking forward to this game but when I started playing it I thought the graphics were terrible. I could have lived with that if the game had been a little more interesting but you can only plant crops and feed your livestock for so long before it becomes really boring. I thought there would be a little more to it.

Super!

Fun Game, In school?

I first played Sim farm in my school tech lab class. Me and the person I played with loved it. At first we thought it was only an O.K. game, but then we found ways to make it fun and easier. For instance the cheat code "corn" gives you ten thousand dollars on the spot. Then we were able to really expand our operations. We bought out the entire map by simply clicking on the picture of the earth on the toolbar and the the land button. We planted everything from tabacco to orchards of fruit. After a while I just had to buy it. I love this game.

tame and lame

This was a disappointment compared to the other Sim games. Graphics were poor to nonexistent. The worst part is the lack of instructions, and it's a pain to go back and forth to the help screen all the time. Once you figure out what you're doing, you realize it wasn't worth all the effort.

Love the Game

he game is great. There are codes for it at codes.ign.com but I dot use them. the game is fun enough. The instructionsare not really needed because the game is self-explanitory. All in all - A great game!
