Who Wouldn't Want To Be John McLane?

First off I loved the original Die Hard Trilogy simply because it was a good stress reliever. The same could definitely be said about Viva Las Vegas. However the reason that brought the game down to 4 stars is that the game play gets incredibly repetitive. If you want to compare it to the original DHT game you would notice several differences the first being the graphics, the graphics are smooth and you can tell what everything is. The plot line moves along at a Die Hard pace, which means it works and it works fast. A really cool idea that was put into the game by developers N-Space was the ability to choose whether you wanted to go through the game doing the three genres( 3rd person shooter, first person shooter, and driving)individually or to go through with the plot being advanced by movies and having different genres intertwining. All told this is a fabulous game that should keep the average gamer from having a social life for a couple of months.

VIVA LAS VEGAS BABY! YEA!

YES! Fox Interactive has done it again! An Excellent Die Hard game. Exelent graphics, and a new feature to the games, Movie mode. I'd say with this game they should come out with a new Die hard Trilogy Movie.

Once again John McLain is on suspension, and is feeling realy low until his good buddy Kenny Baker calles him from his office at the Mesa Grande Prison in Las Vegas, he invites him to a party because Kenny is the new warden at the prison. That is the plot, He then goes to Vegas and then he get's involved.

Match wit's with enemies who survey their surroundings, then react to your actions in THIRD PERSON ACTION / ADVENTURE mode.

Put the pedel to the metel in the EXTREME DRIVING mode, testing your sharpest reflexes. And, Arm yourself with the firepower of 12 differant weapons in SHARPSHOOTER mode.

All in all this is a pretty good game, besides the Blood on the walls after you kill some one. Well you find out for your self. Play It!

Die Hard? More like Sucks Hard

Man, I hate it when game developers take a really good game and make an unplayable, unimpressing, unimaginative and uninteresting game. The graphics are WORSE then the first Die Hard Trilogy, and the gameply isn't that impressive either. In first person mode, you're limited to two weapons, the bad guys have no facial features and move like Louie Anderson on a basketball court. Sometimes they jump through a window or to a duck, tuck and roll move and you'll just bust out laughing at the horrible animation.

The third person mode has the same problems: repetitive gameply, lame weapons and terrible controls. The driving game reminded me of my Sega Genesis. The scenery and atmosphere in the driving is by far the worst out of the 3 playing modes. It's just you, a cactus, green grass, and another car. woohoo!

You're suppose to ram cars driven by escape convicts. Now explain this to me: how is it that you can ram cars until they explode, while your 4-door sedan still drives perfectly?

DHT2 has terrible graphics, controls, enemy AI and gameplay. After spending 2 days playing this horrible excuse for a game, I returned it early and plugged in the first die hard trilogy, which in my opinion, is 10 times better.

Note to gamemakers: stop making cruddy sequels like this and fighting force 2, tomb raider 3+4, etc..

Yippee Ki Yay! Again...

This game is pretty good. The first one is better. The graphics have improved in this one and the story is fine but the game is just not as fun. Also, the controls are not as good as they were in the first one. The story is all about John McClane (of course) who gets asked by a good friend to come down to Vegas to visit his casino. Unfortunately for John, trouble follows him once again. Buy this game if you have played or own the first game.

The first one is much better

Die Hard Trilogy (the original) is much better than this game. While the graphics are improved, the controls and camera angles are a HUGE problem in this game. This game is more of the same and doesn't really offer anything new. I recommend the first one or at least rent this before you buy.

Difficult But Still Viva La Vegas!

The "Hard" in Die Hard 2 is no joke. Driving levels in particular can be so unforgiving and challenging that the game almost stops being fun, hence 4 stars, instead of 5.

But then again, the bigger they are, the harder they fall. And when you make it past the tough levels, the satisfaction is all the greater.

An addictive, intense game. Despite some frustration from time-to-time, a solid buy. Yippie-ki-yay for sure.

Enjoyable game, yet lacking some nice features

I was and still am a huge fan of the first Die Hard Trilogy game. The sequel, Viva Las Vegas, defintelly has some strong points, the story line moves along pretty well and the graphics are just a shade below that of DHT 1. What I really don't like and would have liked to see brought over from the first DHT game is some of the controls. I was a big fan of having the ability to duck and roll left or right to avoid getting shot at. Now it's just turn and run and hope that the enemies will miss you or that you shoot them first. Another feature that I think would still come in handy on the 3rd person levels was the "radar" screen to show where some of the enemies and walls where when you got lost. I know the making DHT 2 the same as DHT 1 would have been stupid, but some of the functions from the first game would have defintelly made the 2nd game that much more interactive and enjoyable.

This game is very fun. It has good graphics and good sound and realisticness. The only thing i dont like is that when you shoot a person it takes about 5 shots for you to kill him. i dont think that that is very realistic.

not bad

This game is ok. The first time I played it I thought it was boring. Then one day I decided to play it again and found that it wasn't bad at all. You won't waste you money, but after a couple games you more than likely will park it.
