Your mission: Protect the Baby and save the world!

Yeah it's cutsie, but what do you expect for a game with a little pink, pig lookin thing on the front. Despite this though it's really fun to play. In fact I've played it about three times. One feature (and the reason I couldn't stop playing ) are the living toys. These magical helpful little friends are a great addition to the game. There are over 70 toys, some helpful and some useless but all worth collecting( I still haven't found them all). The gameplay is slow in the beginning and baby runs from everything, but as you get stronger so does he (and so does his magic) and he becomes a great ally on your journey. It is a short one so play this in between a more serious RPG.

A good RPG for beginners and little kids

This is a good game for people who are unfamiliar with RPG's but I still play it a lot. I may have beaten all of my other RPG's including FF7 and FF8. I'm a RPG freak but i still like this game.

the best game in the world

this is the best game i have ever played in my whole life, and this is saying somthing coming from someone who has compleated(and i mean every single item including excalabur2 on ff9) all of the final fantasy games including anthology, tactics, chocbo racing, origins, and 7,8,9. The whole game is light hearted and non-complex giving you a break from the imposibly complex games such as FF and LOD. it draws you in and forces its way into your heart, with its touching story line. so i recomend this game to those of you who have finished ff and lod and want a relief from the conventional games TRY THIS!!!

One for the kids perhaps?

With a pink pig as one of the main characters, and only being able to summon "toys" rather than dragons or GF's, you may be under the impression this is not a game for the genuine RPG fan. However, do not let these facts protract from what is an enjoyable, entertaining, light-hearted RPG, which can become strangely addictive. The plot is kept simple and straightforward, the battle action is the usual turn based affair and the world is quite large and easily accessable. The toys are picked up throughout the game, and can be used to attack, defend, heal and generally cause havoc to all, much like magic. One of the innovative ideas in this game is that you can actually see how powerful a random enemy is before you go into battle: If you want the cowards way out, you can run away without entering into the battle scene, likewise if you are foolhardy, you can travel around only pitting your skills against the nastier opponents. With all this said, this game is no FF or Xenogears which have great storylines and character interraction, but dont let this put you off, this game is definitely worth a try!

This E really is for Everyone.

I've had a hard time finding any truly clean role playing games at all for my son on psx. Even some of the cute cartoony looking ones rated E for Everyone(6&up)like Threads of Fate have adult language at least. I mean I live in the real world, but let's allow kids to play some kid's games sometimes. Guardian's Crusade is huge fun, it is easy enough for the little guy, and it's got to be the cleanest rpg for psx or ps one in terms of content. I got one as fast as I could, since Amazon was the only place I could find it. Meanwhile maybe it's time for a gamecube...

2nd Best RPG on Playstation

Besides Final Fantasy 7, this is one of the best RPG's I have played on Playstation. It's encaptivating for everyone. I'm 17, but I find this to be one of my favorite games to play. It keeps the strategy of an RPG with an underrated performance of gameplay. The story starts off quickly, so there isn't very much interruption, and things just gain from there. New weapons, armor, etc. Highly Recommended to those new at RPG's or those who just want to have a fun time.

A good RPG for younger kids.

Guardian's Crusade doesn't have a very compelling plotline and isn't very challenging, but it's very bright and cute. If you are looking for a way to get your 6 year old little sibling interested in RPGs, maybe you'd get this game for him or her. If you're a seasoned RPG fan, however, you'll probably end up forgetting it.

Adorable little game with a big heart...

Perhaps I am a little bit biased...for this game holds a nostalgic place in my heart. It is the first RPG I ever picked up and decided to play...but besides that, I think I have a few things to say that may help you decide if this game is for you.

The premis is that the hero Knight finds a baby creature out in the wilderness and is instructed by spiritual forces to protect it and bring it to its mother. As the game evolves, the ordinary hero finds himself wrapped up in an apocalyptic struggle brought on by destiny. It is a classic battle of good verses evil. Instead of conventional magic in battle there are strange animated toys, each with unique powers, that must be sought after to aid the hero in his quest.

For the jaded, experienced RPG-player who demands perfect graphics and a complicated storyline full of disturbing undertones...this little game will not suit you. But when I played this I played it with an open mind, and was delighted.

It is a brightly-colored, simplistic yet lovable game with heart. If only the young can appreciate it then power to them. As for the young at heart, this game is good for them too.

Good game if you are under 9 years old!

This game is an RPG but not for adults. If you are a hard core RPG fan then stay away from this title. If you are a hard core RPG fan with young kids and you want to show them what it is all about, then this is the game for you! If you are a newbie to RPG's this game would be a good starter game to familiarize yourself with them. Predictable, repetitive, and boring is all I can say.

RPG for the younger ones.

A great solid RPG with only one problem. It is for a young audience. I wouldn't give this game a try unless you are 10 or under.
